Are we out of our minds? Some composer in California has composed some musical “requiem” for Timothy McVeigh! And that, my friends, is about all you’re going to hear about it from me! What a sick, absurd story! And the media is just lapping it up.
If the media wants to go after an interesting twist in the McVeigh saga, why not investigate why so many left-wing anti-death-penalty types are setting their differences with capital punishment aside and eagerly awaiting this event? Ann Coulter, I think, has the right idea here. The leftists and Demcorats are so thrilled with McVeigh’s execution because he is something more than a murderer, even something more than a mass murderer. McVeigh was purporting to act against the power of government. There is no act more drastic and heinous to a Democrat – to a lover of big government – than to act against the concept of total and complete government rule. Such people must be dealt with. Execution would be preferable.
Wait a minute! I just went back and read that previous paragraph. There must be something in the water here in Norfolk … I’m not thinking clearly. Did I seriously think that the media would care to look into this special reason for the left and for Demcorats to so eagerly anticipate McVeigh’s execution? The media doesn’t like anti-big government types any more than other leftists do! That’s why you will see such intense coverage of McVeigh’s ride to a well-deserved hell. Look for McVeigh’s anti-government credentials to be highlighted, while the fact that he’s a sociopath, psycho nut-case will be largely ignored.
