A murder mystery - who dunnit ?

Three dudes, A, B and C are in a desert looking for an escape/route out.

A decides to kill C
B also decides to kill C
A & B do not discuss their thoughts (so no conspiracy !)

A puts poison into C's water
B drills a hole in C's water supply before they go off exploring for the day (intending that he die of thirst)

Later in the day, C dies of thirst.


Who killed C ?

Seem simple ? I will return in an hour to comment upon your initial thoughts and comments.

i) mens rea (mental element)
ii) actus reus (physical element)

The actus reus of B was to drain away poisoned water ! If anything B extended C's life.........

The peculiar thing is that both A and B are guilty of attempted murder - but both have clear defences to murder itself

And yet there is a dead body - that of the very person they wanted to kill.

a train is leaving the station at 10 am, it is headed to Scottsdale Arizona........ it is to arrive at 3 pm and makes 3 stops along the way........


where did the train originally start from?

If I'm gettin on it it is leaving from Kalamazoo, but it better be a dam fast train
