Abbigal Torrent, sweet, shy, smart, sassy, innocent, and giving.... 18 years old now 20 had decided to move out of her parents house, she wanted to work her way through college although they insisted she stay with them at least until her third year at school she was studying to be a nurse many years involved and a job on the side plus her own place they told her it would be to much on her, but she had insisted this was what she wanted and needed to do never once telling them the real reason why she left the house. A year ago Christmas break she came home to visit her family her parents and her older brother he was 30 and lived on his own not to far from them as well, so he visited his parents a lot, but Abby as he called him the only person allowed to call her that. She was close to her brother despite there age difference, although she was very mature for her age anyway. Her brother was in a relationship for years but the last few it went south when he caught her cheating on him.. it scarred him for a long time and he refused to get into another relationship. Abbigal thought back to that Christmas break and that memory that hit her like a brick and caused her not to come home often and caused her not to want to come home this break either, although she was only about two hours away anyway...

''Abby, I am going too miss you...'' Her big brother said, she remembered fondly cause they were close and she had feelings for him that delved more into true love for a man than a brother... now causing her to ignore his calls most of the time, and causing her not to visit his home either. ''I am going to miss you too.. I never told you this but you are my best friend.'' She said in a whisper and then he looked up and then back down at her. ''Whats wrong?'' She asked softly. ''Mistletoe.'' He whispered gently and touched the side of her face gently. ''Your beautiful Abby.. any guy would be lucky to be here under this mistletoe with you...'' And with this he cupped her chin gently in his hand and titled her head up to meet him though he was much taller than her, her head began to spin, she had imagined this moment since she was 16 years old... he kissed her soft and gently on the lips, and then wrapped his arms around her, kissing her deeper than a brother should a little tongue slipping every so often. He pulled away and smiled at her. ''In honor of the mistletoe of course.'' He said kissing her cheek as he walked her to her small car.

Abbigal quickly brought her mind to the present, her brother had been calling for weeks now and still she avoided him that kiss was wrong even if it was just the mistletoe it meant to much to her, but she knew her brother was getting angry at her now and wanted to know why she was ignoring his calls....

She didn't expect him to be home, because she hadn't really called to say she was coming home, she decided she would surprise her parents a few days early, not knowing her brother was watching the house cause her parents were away.. some times a surprise isn't the best thing to do.

Her brother wouldn't understand that a simple kiss could mess his relationship up, cause clearly it would mean more to her than it had him.. or did it?

(Open to one guy, very detailed, angst, tension, anger, love and passion)

Ryan walked through the empty house of his parents heading to the fridge to grab a beer. He had considered calling over a few old friends and rehashing old times but decided he wanted to just relax tonight. His parents had gone off on one of their many trips they were now enjoying since both had retired and he often would house sit for them plus it meant free food. His mom always made sure the pantry and fridge was stocked with his favorite foods.

Ryan made his way back into the living room taking a seat on the couch and started to turn on the television but stopped. He looked around the room realizing it had changed little over the years. The biggest change was the television of course and the pictures. Pictures of him and his sister Abby through the years. Some of the older ones had been replaced by newer ones that featured graduations or some other event. He looked at the most recent picture of Abby taken just a few months ago and thought that she was going to make some guy very happy. She was smart, sweet, caring and beautiful!

Sighing Ryan took a sip of his beer and looked back at her picture. It had been way to long since he had seen his sister. He also remembered that kiss under the mistletoe the one that he had meant as a brotherly show of love. But he got a little overzealous and probably pushed things to way to far. He had actually given his sister a little tongue and he wondered if she had taken it the wrong way?

That was the last time he had seen her and it had been weeks since they had talked. "I'm sure she is busy with school and probably has a boyfriend", he thought.

He took another drink of his beer a much larger one this time and got up heading to the bathroom. He looked at himself in the mirror and he saw sadness there. Since the break up with Tina he had felt empty not sure what to do with himself. He had known for awhile that things were different between them but when he asked she always assured him everything was alright and to stop worrying. But then that one day when a friend told him he had seen her at a bar dancing a little to close with some guy. He realized it was during the time she was supposed to be out with a female friend for a girls night which was happening with more frequency. So one night he followed her and sure enough she was at a bar with some guy and a hour or so later they headed to a local "no tell, motel". He conned the manager into a key saying that he had locked himself out. Opening the door he found them in the middle of having sex. His first reaction was to beat the hell out of the guy but he wouldn't give them the satisfaction of seeing him that angry. So instead he threw a 100 dollar bill on the bed and said, "rent and extra night on me."

After that she had made a small effort to reconcile but he knew it wouldn't end well and he couldn't get the image of them together out of his head. He saw it all in graphic x-rated detail. So after a long 6 year relationship it was over just like that and though he tried to date other women he just couldn't get past the issue of trust. As soon as he felt there was any type of real sparks of romance Ryan bolted.

Now he found himself alone and miserable not to mention pretty much celibate at the moment. He turned on the shower and stepped inside using the small mirror attached to the wall to shave. He finished showering and wrapped a towel around himself heading to bed for the night hoping sleep would find him.

She packed her small car up grateful it was break she hadn't seen her parents since Christmas, and she needed a break from school. She thought about her brother as she drove home.. It had been weeks since she talked to him, and a year since she seen her brother, she had missed him, she was always so close to him considering that there parents were always traveling.. But now it was so different, that kiss had meant so much to her, she had Thougbt of her brother as more than a brother for a long time, and she knew how wrong that was.

She drove the two hours home and tried keeping her mind off of that Christmas and that mistletoe, she never mentioned it to her brother again, but she felt bad about basically ignoring him. Her brother had been through hell, that stupid bitch cheating on him, he was so good to her and he had been head over heels for her, she was sure seeing her in bed with another guy crushed him, she felt rage any time she thought about it... But then her ignoring him wasn't very nice either she thought... Even if she felt it was for good reasons.

She knew that for her brother it had just been a kiss under the mistletoe, but for her it had been so much more, who the hell thought of there brother in that way, something Was wrong with her. She sighed and turned the radio up, trying to block out her thoughts... It didnt work, she needed to get past this, she missed him.

She had to remind herself it was just a kiss in the heat of the moment, nothing more or nothing less at least to him. Ok Abby you need to chill, and just call him and be normal with him again.. She shook her head and laughed at how ridiculous she had been... She was coming home early and hoped she wouldn't be imposing on her parent's.

She sped up a little feeling tired and just wanting to get home to her family, maybe in a few days she'd go and visit her brother, she needed to remind herself the kiss had meant nothing to him and even if it meant more to her that was her problem and she would have to deal with it. She took a deep breath when she arrived home, she decided to park in the driveway instead of in the two car garage. She had no idea that her brother would be home or that her parents were on a trip.

She parked and for the first time in a long time relaxed. She got out of the car and grabbed her bags, and headed to the front, she debated on knocking but opted against it, she let herself in, reached down for her bags, and bringing them into the house. She left them in the living room, yelling out that she was home, but the house was quiet.

Maybe they were out to dinner or something, oh well, she grabbed her bags and took them to her old room, she threw them on the bed, she'd unpack later, maybe they were in there room, she padded down the hall quietly. On the way there she practically slammed into her brother and squealed in suprise as she got her balance.

Ryan padded into the bedroom and began going through his clothes looking for something to sleep in. He used to sleep naked a lot per request of his ex. Not that he minded sleeping naked with a woman though sleep usually came after a long session of love making or it did in the beginning. But since then he just couldn't bring himself to sleep without clothes made him miss her more than ever. He had come to realize it wasn't just her he missed but the routines they had together. So Ryan attempted to do things at times he had never done them before. Avoid places they had frequented and hell he even slept on a different side of the bed than when they had been together. He knew that he needed a quick and hot romance that didn't end badly but flamed up real fast and died just as quickly. Something to show to himself that life would go on without Tina and that he could have a relationship with another woman. But that was yet to happen and though he had been on a few dates he hadn't even come close to sleeping with any of them. It was from lack of opportunity however as one of the girls had thrown herself at him the entire date even to the point of trying to give him oral sex in his car on the way back from the restaurant.

Ryan had just slipped on a pair of shorts and a sleeveless tee and was about to step into bed when he heard a noise. Heading out of his room and down the hall he rounded a corner and she was before in his path. Ryan put on the brakes and looked in surprise at his sister now standing before him.

"Oh my god Abby what are you doing here?" Alright that was a dumb question as it was her parents house as well he thought.

His eyes scanned her and she was prettier than ever and the fragrance of her perfume invaded his nostrils. He checked her fingers really fast and was pleased to see that she wasn't wearing any type of engagement or heaven forbid wedding ring. As much as he wanted his sister to be happy he couldn't imagine her being married at least not yet. If some guy treated her the way he had been treated by his ex well that would probably not end well for the guy.

Ryan started to grab her and pull her into a big hug but her aloofness from him over the past months made him hesitate and he only stood there waiting to see what she would do.

Abbigal had so many thoughts about her brother going through her head at the moment, and being there in the family home had only made her think about him even more so. She thought about how much time they had spent together just watching movies together, going to dinner together, talking about there lives together, even though he was older than her, they were closer than most brother and sisters. He had meant everything to her, and although she was avoiding him she still loved and missed him, a little more than a sister probably should, she thought, was she sick she wondered, cause what kind of little sister had these kind of feelings for there own brother... But she did. She hated not being there for him lately, but that kiss had awakened something in her that she had to keep buried. She sighed to herself, get it together kid she thought.

She had been on a few dates nothing serious, she was still innocent and very shy for the most part... Then again not one of those guys she went on dates with remotely matched up to her brother, she loved and admired him so.. She thought about what he may be like in the bedroom, was he sweet and loving, or rough and demanding, she wasn't sure, and she should not have been having those kind of thoughts about her brother... Besides she didn't have any experience at all. She took a deep breath, she wondered if her brother was into the sweet lovemaking or the tie her up dominant kind of sex, either way she knew he'd be amazing in bed.

She gasped at the suddenness of her brother in front of her it was the last thing she ever expected. "I'm home for break." She managed to squeeze out. Her face had turned a bright red as she looked at him, he was even more handsome than she remembered, my how a year could change.

She realized then how much she had missed him. She needed to touch him. She leaned in for a hug

Ryan saw the surprise on her face and watched it do that cute little thing where her forehead kind of scrunches up when she is debating some issue. Then she appeared to blush and for half a second Ryan thought perhaps he had forgotten to put on his shorts or something or did he have a hard on? He looked down very quickly and yes for shorts and no for hard on.

The seconds seemed like minutes ticking by as they stood face to face in their parents home.

"I'm home for break', came her reply though her voice was just a bit shaky. "Well lucky us since Mom and Dad are out of town for the next few weeks and I'm here house sitting for them."

His mind traveled back to a few years after he graduated High School and Abby was in Junior High. Their parents were out town and left Ryan in charge and to him that meant party time. But Abby black mailed him into letting her friends come over as well and taking her on a shopping trip to the mall the next day. If he didn't she was going to tell their parents. He smiled at the memory and had to admit taking her shopping and buying her a new outfit had been more fun than the party.

His mind jumped back to the present and realized she was leaning in for a hug. He wrapped his arms around her pulling her into him. He lifted her off the ground his face nuzzled against her neck and hair.

Ryan spoke into her ear, "God I've missed you Abby! You just don't realize how much your brother loves you!"

Well this was totally unexpected she thought to herself, she knew that the shock must have shown on her face, she was never all that good at hiding her feelings... Especially when it came to her brother anyway. She was more red because of the thoughts that she was having before running into him.. Great she thought just great, not only was this a complete surprise, this was a shock considering what she had been thinking, oh well they were just thoughts after all.

She was for a moment at a loss of what to say. Say something she thought to herself, and stop making this more awkward than it needed to be. She finally said she was home for break, but her tone almost betrayed her, it came out shaky, she hoped he would not notice. Relax Abbigal relax she thought to herself.

She was stunned by her brothers response, they hadn't told her they were going away she was only a few days early and they knew she was coming home for break, her feelings were hurt, but she quickly recovered, she would mention it to him. "Nice, they didn't even tell me... " Her voice trailed off, they always did this.. She should have been used to it by now... At least he was here she thought so her visit wasn't for nothing.

She always loved spending time with him, as much as there parents traveled they were always together, she was closer to him than anyone else in her life. She could see he was thinking, she wasn't sure about what, so she didn't want to invade his thoughts. She loved him more than anyone in the world, she knew she should feel that way about her parents but truth be told her brother was there for her than there parents ever had been.

She felt content and complete when he pulled her in tighter, he smelled so good, felt so good, what was wrong with her she didn't need to think about her brother that way... But she was and couldnt help herself. She leaned her head into his chest, she was much shorter than him so she fit perfect against his chest.

Him speaking into her ear made shivers run up and down her spine. "Ive missed you too. " She loved him just as much.

Finally releasing her Ryan stepped back just a little giving her back some personal space. He heard her comment about not knowing that their parents were out of town but she stopped short of saying anything else and Ryan decided to let it go.

He honestly wasn't sure what was going on with their parents lately as they had been acting like irresponsible teenagers in some ways. He decided to just let the entire topic drop for now it was obvious Abby didn't want to discuss it. Ryan had always had this connection with his sister almost like the one that many twins have. He could instantly judge most of her moods and know when to talk and when to listen.

"Why don't we get out of this hallway and go talk in the living room unless you need to shower or something. I don't want to bombard you with questions if you are tired from the drive."

She smiled when he stepped back and looked at her, part of her didnt want him to let her go, the other part of her was grateful that he had. She didn't want him to know how upset she was about her parents being away and not having the consideration of telling her so, though she was sure the disappointment showed in her eyes. At least her trip wouldn't be a complete waste, she wanted nothing more than to see her brother, and visit with him, she felt bad for not calling him, or going to see him, but her feelings were so strong for him that she thought it best she stayed away especially after that much intense kiss under the mistletoe.

She couldn't believe how good her brother looked, yet at the same time she could feel the sense that the breakup had seriously done a toll on him, and here she was worrying about herself and the way that she was feeling about him. She hated seeing the sadness in his eyes. She really made a mess of there relationship, considering that she was worried over one little kiss.

She was glad that he was not pushing the issue of there parents not being there alone, she was already upset enough over it, how could they tell her that they would be home and decide to go away on a trip and not even have the consideration to tell her about it. She sighed and decided not to worry about that right now.

She knew however he would be able to read her well enough to be able to see that it bothered her, but he was sweet and didnt push. She smiled softly at him, she wanted to know how he was doing since She was so wrapped up in herself she hadn't talked to him. Dumb Ass she thought to herself.

"I'm not tired restless actually... I can rest later... Let's go talk." She said her heart racing.

Ryan led them into the living room making a brief stop for a beer and something a bit more fruity for Abby. He sat down on the couch next to her but not beside her and handed her the drink.

"A toast to me and you sis", he said as he raised his bottle.

"It's funny I was sitting here a few minutes ago looking at this living room reliving things over the years. Then I kept thinking about you and looking at the picture of us together at your high school graduation. I have missed you Abby really missed you but I do understand how real life can be."

He took a sip of his beer and looked back over at her and he actually checked her out and not in a brotherly way though he felt he masked the look very well.

"So tell me something you would like me to know. Catch me up with your life or whatever you feel like talking about."

Ryan didn't want to press as he wasn't sure if something negative had happened in her life that was bothering her and didn't want her to relive anything she wasn't ready to share.

He smiled at her and couldn't help it his sister always lifted his spirits and she was just what he needed in his life at the moment. Someone he loved that was unconditional that wouldn't betray him even if it was the family type of love.

This is your brother Abby you have nothing to worry about, even if she had some strange feelings for him, she knew he was her older respectable big brother and he would never look at her in the same way as she looked at him. She smiled softly at him as she accepted the drink that he had handed her. "thank-you." She said and lookes over at him sitting beside her.

She smiled brightly when he raised his bottle and said to him and her, her face a little flushed... She was still trying to recover from her wayward thoughts and running into him as she was having those thoughts about her big brother.

She listens carefully as he spoke, loving hearing his voice, she had been such a fool worrying about a simple little kiss. She had missed him too, more than he probably realized, but it was hard talking to him considering how much she was in love with him and who he was, he was the perfect guy, she hoped like hell that someday she would be lucky enough to meet a man like him.

"I'm sorry." She said softly in response, she would like to say it was because she was busy that she had gotten distant but she was never a very good liar so she left it alone, feeling guilty instead. It wasn't his fault she was feeling this way. She noticed him look over at her, and she looked down at her drink and took a long drink, her thoughts were all over the place.

What could she tell him.. That for the last year she could think of nothing but him and the kiss that they had shared... No she couldn't admit that to him. So she told him about school and get job. "Ive tried dating, but can never seem to find the right guy for me." She said honestly but didn't add that it was because of him that her dating life had failed.. Noone would ever be him.

"I'm really sorry I haven't been here for you lately." She whispered sadness in her tone. "I promise from now on I will be." Even if she would have to avoid touching him, and avoid looking at him as anything but a brother... This was not going to be easy she thought.

She loved him so much more than she should so much more than a sister should. She didn't bring up how she had been distant and she figured he probably didn't even notice.

Ryan listened intently as Abby told him about school and watched her facial features closely. When she talked about dating she seemed a little sad and he wondered if some guy had hurt her?

Then when he heard her promise to be there for him more often there was a very distinct sadness. It almost broke his heart to hear it in her voice. He had a urge to hold her and let her know it was alright.

Ryan scooted closer to her and placed a hand on each side of her cheek, "Abby it is alright you did nothing wrong. You are a wonderful sister and have always been there for me. I'm not going to lie and say I wasn't worried but never angry I could never be mad at you."

Ryan leaned in and kissed her forehead before releasing her. Her smell had been intoxicating and the feel of her skin against his lips had been nice and made him want to feel more. "Whoah Ryan hold on buddy, that is your sister", he thought to himself.

Abby couldnt tell her brother the real reason she was upset, he didn't really need to know about that, he didn't need to know that one kiss had brought her to her knees, that one kiss from her own brother none the less. Her heart was racing in her chest as she told him about dating and it wasn't as if she had been lying or anything, it's just noone would ever be him.

She was upset and felt she had let her brother down, he had been through so much more than she had, she knew her tone sounded sad and low, but she couldn't help it, she was upset with herself, maybe she should just be honest with him, then she thought it best that maybe she didn't. She smiled as she looked gently up at him, she felt like a jerk avoiding him the way she had.. Yet he seemed to be okay with it, just assuming she was busy.

She sighed inwardly, time's like this she really wished he didn't know her so very well... But he knew her better than anyone else did. When he got closer to her, her breathing hitched a bit, and when he placed his hands on her cheeks, she felt goosebumps line along her skin. His words touched her more then they should have. He wasn't angry with her, good, even though she knew he had every reason to be, and he didn't even ask her why she was avoiding him, she thanked him in her head for that, she was sure she would not be able to lie to him.. He knew her to well.

When he kissed her forehead she felt her face flush a deep red, dear god she thought to herself, this was going to be harder than she thought. She bit her lip when he let her go and she leaned back slightly against the sofa, she momentarily was at a loss for words. She hoped he would not be able to see how much his words and his touch had effected her, and again she was grateful that he didn't ask her why she hadn't called him.

"I'm still sorry, so anyway how are you?" She needed to get the subject off of herself before he started asking more questions than she was prepared to answer.

He looked closely at Abby wondering if she was blushing ever so slightly though he couldn't imagine why?

"I have been good", he lied there was no way he was going to drop all his shit left over from his ex but he knew she would ask. He decided to give her enough to prevent any hard questions.

"It has been a little rough at times and I no longer miss her. I do miss having someone to hold and love. Not just someone but someone that loves me back and wants to be in my arms."

He sipped again on his beer thinking what to say next. "But at least your here and you are more than my sister you are my best friend so what else could one ask for?"

He really wanted to lighten the mood at this point, "Hey Abby are you still ticklish?" He moved closer his hands going playfully to her sides knowing the exact spot to make her squirm. On the way in his hand inadvertently brushed against her breast and nipple.

Get it together girl, she thought to herself. Deep deep breath she told herself. He was so close and he seemed so sad in his own way, she hated that Tina had hurt him so much, stupid bitch she thought.. Why would anyone throw away a man like him, he was sweet, caring, hardworking, smart, funny, and hot as hell... She shouldn't have looked at him that way but she just couldn't help herself.

She knew he was lying when he told her that he had been good. But she wouldn't push him, he hadn't pushed her after all, he hadn't even asked why she had avoided him. She watched him carefully, he could try telling her he was okay but she knew better than that, as well as he knew her, she knew him just as well.. The only thing they didn't know about one another was there sex lives, they never talked about that kind of thing together...though she wondered just what her brother liked.

She listened to him thoughtfully, his words once more touching her in ways that shouldn't be touching her, he deserved just that someone to love him the way he deserved even if it couldnt be her.. Jesus this is your brother Abby, you should not be thinking of him this way or in any way other than a sister should.

She blushed again at his words isn't that what she said that night before he kissed her under the mistletoe, that he was her best friend, yes it was. She had to think of anything other than that kiss, yet That was a hard task to handle. She smiled brightly at him when he looked at her and asked her if she was still ticklish and she gave him a look that said you wouldn't dare.

He grabbed her sides and she giggled and gasped and tried squirming away, however when his hand ever so slightly touching her breast her nipple hardening and her heart thumping.

As she squirmed rather violently trying to get away from him Ryan moved closer and ended up on top of her basically between her legs laying on the couch. He moved her hands across her ribs as she moved from side to side her face red from laughing.

Deciding to have a little mercy on her he stopped but didn't move just yet. His face turned serious and his voice stuttered and cracked when he spoke.

"Abby I need to know. Did I upset you or hurt you in some way? I mean I understand you have been busy but not one phone call, text message or email. If I did anything to upset you I'm so very sorry but I can't fix it if you don't tell me."

He propped himself up with his arms but he could feel her legs loosely wrapped around his own. Sitting up with his legs bent at the knees he sat upright though her legs remained around his her feet just behind his hips.

Sh was squirming so much and giggling, trying to escape his hands, she laughed so hard, as Ryan ended up between her legs sort of anyway and she didn't think much about it at all. He took her own small hands and ran them along her ribs, the thin tee-shirt she was wearing made it much easier to tickle her, as she tried getting away. She was red faced from laughing so much and so hard.

She sighed and caught her breath when he stopped, a smile still on her face as she looked up at him, he didn't move so neither did she. She saw the expression on his face turn from humor to a more serious look. Almost intense she thought. His voice or at least the tone in his voice broke her heart and made her feel horrible and so guilty.

Her heart caught in her chest or at least that was the way she felt. She took a long deep breath contiplating on the best way to answer him, he would know she was lying he always knew, she didn't want to lie to him, but she didn't want him to blame himself for her distance towards him. "Ryan, you did nothing wrong..." She said taking another long deep breath, how the hell was she supposed to tell him it was all because of a kiss.

"It was me... Last year under the mistletoe... I guess I got a little confused about thing's, I should have been honest and told you." She didn't get into details about why she felt confused or anything like that.. She just looked up at him, sadness in her eyes, she felt horrible.

They were tangled together and he was so deliciously close to her.

His eyes moistened slightly and a tear ran down his cheek. "Abby I'm so sorry you know I would never do anything intentionally to hurt you."

He wanted to pull her to him and hold her tightly and not let go. He looked back down at her and then away for a long moment. Without looking back at her he said, "You have been the one constant in my life the one thing that has kept me going through all of it. As long as you are on my side I feel I can accomplish or do anything."

He finally summoned the strength to look back down at her. "Abby one day you will make some special guy the best wife ever!"

Unable to resist the urge he pulled her up to a sitting position face to face and then pulled her in for a close and tight hug. He paid close attention to her body language in case she resisted or tried to pull away. He was very aware of her breathing and smell.

She had never really seen Ryan vulnerable aside from when Tina had cheated on him, he was miserable and she would do anything to take that misery from his eyes. She felt even worse now then before maybe she should have made something up. She reached up and wiped his tear away, this wasn't something she was used to..seeing her brother like this.

He didn't hurt her, quite the opposite, he made her feel so many things she knew a sister should not feel for there brother. "You never hurt me Ryan." She needed him to know that.. He was the only thing that made sense in her life and she was confused by the feelings the kiss had brought out in her. She felt so bad that he felt he hurt her.

She looked up at him, as he looked away from her, the last thing she needed was to lose he relationship they shared together. She felt so much love for him at his words, so much.. He was everything to her, but part of her craved and acted for more, but it was wrong so very wrong. When he looked back down at her, his eyes were intense yet bright and hers were just as intense.

She blushed slightly at his words. She only had eyes for one man, at there was no way in hell she'd ever be able to be with him. She didn't pull away the last thing she wanted him to feel was as if she were pushing him away from her, that was the very last thing she wanted was to do was push him farther away.

She was breathing a little fast, and her heart was racing. "I'm sorry I pushed you away, Ryan... I never meant to do that.... I love you." And she meant That but she meant it much more than a sister felt.

The words "I love you" coming from his sisters mouth soothed him and he smiled at her. "I love you to Abby and will always." He was about to release her but leaned in and whispered in her ear low and soft his voice serious and sincere.

"Thank you", he then kissed her on the cheek at the edge of her lip leaving his lips there against her skin for what seemed like an eternity.

Ryan released her and stood, "Well Abby I don't want to keep you up any later perhaps we should call it a night and we can spend all day tomorrow with each other unless you have plans? Hey do you remember when you would get scared after a bad dream and come sleep with me? I know we are adults and all but if you feel the need to get scared I wouldn't mind the company tonight."

His smile eased her mind and she didn't feel quite as bad and awkward as she had before, instead she felt the opposite, she felt safe and loved, and only he made her feel that way. Hearing his words of love sent chills through her.. And she didn't well couldn't really respond for she was going through so many emotions at one time.

When he leaned in, she felt her eyes close, she wasn't sure for what was she anticipating on him kissing her, wasn't that what brought them here in the first place. His voice was soft and serious and so smooth when he spoke, if he only knew how she really felt about her big brother. When he thanked her she was not sure for what...

When he leaned in and kissed her cheek her breathing once again hitched, and her head was spinning or at least that's what it felt like. She sighed when he pulled away. She felt empty upon her release, she needed him, she needed him near her.. But she knew this was for the best. She didn't have plans and nothing sounded better than spending time with him all day.

However what he said next shocked her, she could see he just didn't want to be alone, he was her brother after all and it wasn't as if she hadn't fell asleep with him on numerous occasions. She didn't want to make him feel bad, or that she felt sorry for him. "It is supposed to storm tonight and I hate storms, so can I stay with you?" She asked turning the tables to make it seem as if she had asked.

"I just need a quick shower and to change." She said softly, this was probably not the best of ideas, but her brother needed her, she knew he was still upset over Tina and she hadn't helped by avoiding him... Maybe she should just be honest and tell him what that kiss meant to her, but she just couldn't.

"Yes of course you can stay in the room with me will be just like old times. I think you can find the shower I just finished when you arrived so just ignore the man things I hadn't expected you and I think I left clothes and underwear in there somewhere."

Ryan walked with her upstairs and turned into his bedroom which was only slightly before the bathroom. It was the same one they had shared growing up as their parents had their own in the master bedroom. He slipped out of his tee shirt out of habit leaving just his shorts on and slide under the cool covers of his bed.

Ryan realized that he had forgotten his cell phone charger in his bag which was in the bathroom he needed to charge in case his parents called. He walked down the hallway hoping he had beat his sister to the bathroom and looked to see if the door was open or closed.

She smiled brightly at him when he said of course she could stay with him, though she had to admit to herself this was a bit different than the past.. They were both adults now, and Abby as a adult had never shared a bed with a man before. She looked at him and giggled at his mention of his clothes being in there, she wondered if he was as nervous as she was and then decided probably not.

"I just have to go grab my cloths out of my room and grab a quick shower, it shouldn't take me long." She said as they walked upstairs together and he went to his room and she headed to her old room. She sighed as she shut the door and rummaged through her bag deciding on a tight white tank top and short black shorts, she hadn't expected any of this to happen tonight, so she wasn't prepared wih clothes that covered much of her body considering she slept alone.

She grabbed the cloths and headed to the bathroom, she didn't shut the door, she didn't really need too it was just her and Ryan and he would be able to hear the water running, never mind she thought against that and shut the door but didn't lock it. She jumped in the shower and enjoyed the hot water on her now tired body.

She washed her hair with her favorite strawberry shampoo and conditioner, then washed with her cotton candy body wash, yes she liked lite yummy scents. She finished and dried and brushed her hair and then changed into her pajamas, brushed her teeth and went to open the door to head to her brothers room, she'd unpack in the morning as well as straighten the bathroom up.

The door was closed and Ryan tried to remember if he had left it open or closed. He listened and thought he heard water running but the he decided he hadn't heard it. He cautiously cracked open the door and steam came rushing out of the crack and he realized that she was having a bath already. He must have arrived just as she was shutting it off.

He was about to silently close the door but from the position of the mirror above the sink which was all he could see through the tiny crack he caught a glimpse of her in the tub. Truthfully there wasn't much to see as fog covered most of the room and the mirror had steamed over. But he saw enough of her form to truly realize how beautiful and what a wonderful body his sister truly had.

Ryan only looked for a few seconds and felt a little embarrassed and closed the door. He started to leave but decided to knock, "Hey Abby since your already in there when you come to bed can you please bring my phone charger from my bag I need to charge the phone in case mom or dad calls."

He retreated back to his room and climbed beneath the covers.

She was trying not to think about the kiss because if she did she didn't think she'd be able to share his bed with him, she wasn't really even sure if she could or rather should considering the way she felt for him. She took a deep breath and tried to control her feelings she had never felt nervous before around her brother and now cause of one kiss she did.. And it wasn't fair to him.

Okay she thought some of it was his fault, but then again it wasn't as if he knew how she felt, she was his sister why would he think she felt anything more than sisterly love, it was so wrong to have these feelings. She told herself to just calm down, Ryan would never even think of her in that way, he was always protective over her and she was sure he would never ever do anything to mess that up.

She shook her head and laughed at herself and at how foolish she was really being or was she, he hadn't kissed her the way a brother would kiss a sister, even if it was because of mistletoe after all, his kiss was more of the way a man would kiss a woman he wanted to be with or at least that's the way it had felt to her, and she knew it was just because of how she felt about him.

Get it together Abbigal before you ruin your relationship completely with your brother, if he ever knew how she felt about him, he would probably think she was sick and hate her forever. She sighed to herself what a mess she was making this.. He's your brother Abby! She jumped when he knocked on the door, not out of fear but because he stopped her thoughts.

She yelled that she would. She looked at herself in the mirror grabbed his charger and headed to his room, considered knocking but knew she didn't need to, she walked in feeling a little off, and waited for him to say something.
