I thought it might be neat if we all lit a candle in memorial to those who lost thier lives on Sept 11. I know alot of you are not american, but thats dosent mean you were not touched by the sorrow, or the way people across he globe and the world to help each other. So if you like this idea please post a candle!

Heres my little contribution. And not that I am parital to you or anything like that but "Good idea babe!". :) I hope this pic comes out.

I hope that the families of those that were lost are persevering in their lives and I hope that over the past year we have made those we've lost proud of us as we have come closer to one another.

A noteworthy gesture GlovelySave

And while the attack and loss of 2,801 lives took place on the soil of the United States, it was an attack on the world.
These nations lost people that day, from the top losing the most then continuing down, but even the loss of one was too many:

United States of America
United Kingdom
Canada
Japan
Australia
China
Bermuda
El Salvador
Germany
Grenada
Ireland
Israel
Lebanon
And 2 others were killed but it hasn't been determined what nation they were from

As the soot and dirt and ash rained down, We became one color. As we carried each other down the stairs of the burning building, We became one class. As we lit candles of waiting and hope, We became one generation. As the firefighters and police officers fought their way into the inferno, We became one gender. As we fell to our knees in prayer for strength, We became one faith. As we whispered or shouted words of encouragement, We spoke one language. As we gave our blood in lines a mile long, We became one body. As we mourned together the great loss, We became one family. As we cried tears of grief and loss, We became one soul. As we retell with pride of the sacrifice of heroes, We become one people. We are One color, One class ,One generation, One gender, One faith, One language, One body, One family, One soul, One people. We are The Power of One. We are United. We are America.

This is too good an idea to let slip far, and if someone wants to leave a candle and or thought and you don't have a image, here are a few you can pick from

Thank you WoodMiester, for the candles for others to use, and Jasmine for the great poem. My sweetheart. I hope as the 11th aproaches closer and closer others stop by and either leave a Candle or say a prayer or a quick thought about thier feelings, or what they felt. All forms of emotions are welcomed here, because weve felt them all, If you do want to leave a form or hate or revenge please dont direct it at any one person. its allright to feel hate and revenge but please be sensetive to other peoples feelings they might not feel the same way.

~God Bless America, land that I love, stand beside her and guide her~

I was watching the Sunday talk shows

They were talking about "closure", what BS!

You all talk of lighting candles. Nice, but meaningless!

Let's remember that there are those that would EXTERMINATE us, if we let them.

We have the means to stop them,to kill them,to eliminate them before they do it to us.

We have the means,DO WE HAVE THE WILL?

Instead of candles, let the Demon(crats)(correct spelling) know we want action, not obstruction.

Kill the enemy, before they kill us!

That's not the world busybody - that's one select small group of people who in no way reflect feelings held by billions elsewhere in the world. The world is behind the US - and has been since this happened almost a year ago. We mourned with your country, we cried tears of pain and rage, our hearts ached seeing the immense damage and destruction that was caused. Going out and randomly killing people because of their beliefs will make your country no better than what those people feel you are now. Rising up in hatred is not the answer.

That small group of

people,represent 1 billion!

Even your fearless leader in Canada is against us. As is most of the world, save for England. Take some time to read the World Press,as I do.

Love is not the answer, restraint is not the answer, negotiation is not the answer. The answer is to KILL them before they have a chance to do it to us.

Anything else is SUICIDE.

Random killing? Never proposed that!

Iraq, Saudia Arabia, Iran,Syria for starters need REGIME CHANGE NOW......By FORCE if need be.

Educate yourself before the beautiful you will be forced to wear a BURKAH.

See what is happening in Europe.

Will I Remember
Caroline Hofstede

That tragic Tuesday in September
will I be able to forget?
The pain
the fear,
the questions,
the reason why.
Will I remember?

That brutal day in September
will I be able to understand?
The anger,
the destruction,
the loss of life,
without a reason.
Will I remember?

The terror of September
can I forgive
this brutal act
of violence,
of devastation,
the emptiness it left behind.
Will I remember?

The 11th of September
in the year 2001
so many lives
destroyed
and changed
forever.
I will remember!

Four years, and counting. Time running out!

DEMOCRATS FOR REGIME CHANGE: If Saddam Hussein "fails to comply [with U.N. inspections], and we fail to act, or we take some ambiguous third route which gives him yet more opportunities to develop his program of weapons of mass destruction and continue to press for the release of the sanctions and continue to ignore the solemn commitments that he made? Well, he will conclude that the international community has lost its will. He will then conclude that he can go right on and do more to rebuild an arsenal of devastating destruction... If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow... Some day, some way, I guarantee you, he'll use the arsenal." - Bill Clinton, February 18, 1998. How soon they forget. And some of them accuse president Bush of cynicism?

GOOD NEWS: The administration seems og Dubya, gets it.

You are talking about 2 completely separate incidences. First you state the world is not behind the US regarding Sept 11th, which is total bullshit - my countrymen are over there fighting with yours. In regards to Iraq - no, it doesn't seem as if much of the world is behind Bush on that one - which might possibly indicate that he is wrong. This is not the place to be discussing it anyways - this is a memoriam to the victims of last year's tragedy - not the place for further warmongering.

I would hate to think that anyone died needlessly and I am sure those that lost their loved ones feel the same. No one is happy that this happened. Whole nations are angered because if it can happen here it can and will happen anywhere. But where does it end Busy? If you wipe out a whole nation of people for what a select few did, where does it end. No offense intended but by your words, you are the sort of person that I fear. So easy to kill and keep on killing. Harder still to stand your ground and find a better way. If you start killing where will you stop Busy? Who will you deem worthy of survival? And who are you to judge who lives and who dies?

You could have said the

same about WW11, dont you think?

There is a difference between people and culture. If you cant see it, then you are dangerously naive.

There is a difference between right and wrong.

THEY have told you and all of us, they intend to kill us and/or force us to adopt THEIR way of "worship". You dont believe it?

A better way?

Can you elaborate on any?

THAT HAVE WORKED?

Or is it WISHFUL THINKING?

Can you elaborate? Can you name one nation that was destroyed that stopped the others from following suit? YOU are the niave one.

No, I don't believe in propaganda. No one with any sense believes in garbage put out there to scare and confuse people cept for maybe scared and confused people. You scared and confused Busy???

Read this:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/2244146.stm

Ok, I read it. And? Its unconfirmed information given to a middle eastern reporter by supposid members of Bin Ladin's group. It does not mention taking over the world and converting us. It discusses a plan to make attacks other than those that actually happened on 9/11......and again, its information given by terrorits members that is unconfirmed. Whoopty woo! What else ya got?

Scared? Of course, we all should be.

Confused? By the naivity displayed, YES!

What does this mean?

Can you elaborate? Can you name one nation that was destroyed that stopped the others from following suit? YOU are the niave one.

You said there was a better way. What is it? And where has it worked?

Unconfirmed? Yes,But by the time you have a smoking gun!

Someone is already DEAD!

The Middle Eastern Press is full of the Islamofacists desires to take over the world. Take the time to read!

I posted an article on this thread about the celebration upcoming in England, and the desires of Muslims.

I am sure you will argue that it is a small sample. I will argue that a small sample(19)killed 3,000 and did BILLIONS in damage.
