I am 'hosting' a writing contest for the month of May.

As May 4 is 'Star Wars Day', entries should fit into the Sci-Fi & Fantasy category. This is also a category that doesn't get a ton of love.

Stories can be submitted starting on May 1, 2016 and authors will report their score, favs and views on June 1!

The only 'prize' will be a silly (I mean AWESOME) icon I make, and bragging rights.

The next 'real' contest is Nude day in July so this shouldn't get in the way of authors writing for the money.

What say you? Are you interested? There's the whole month of April for people to tap in here to say they want in on this action. (To see if people are interested in giving this a go.) The Month of April is also a writing month ala NaNoWriMo for people who need some spurs put to them for inspiration!

Please give a shout out if you're interested. We can lean on eachother!

I replied in your other thread, as well, but I'm totally in. I love sci-fi, and I love friendly contests.

I rarely write sc- fi/fantasy (although when I do, they seem to do all right), but maybe my Muse will chomp on this and drop something. I seem to have little control over what my Muse wants to have written and there's no telling what challenge it chooses to latch on to.

Hmmm, maybe, maybe, I'm thinking, I'm thinking...been awhile since I entered a challenge, last one was slyc's three things as I recall.

I'll push the hamsters to run faster in that wheel in my brain! Maybe take off on a singularity kick.
