What was wrong with her father thinking she would agree to marry the one man that hated her and that she as well hated back in return... but neither really had a choice in the matter... seeing as Becky was the daughter of the most powerful man in the town she had to go with his wishes... but she always thought she'd marry for love.. now she had to marry and live in the same house with the one man she despised... they hated each other due to the fact.. that he presumed she was some stuck up rich kid, and she felt he was some society guy use then and lose em type...

I thought arranged marriages were a thing of the past...'Oh, it's good for the family, son.' Yeah right! good for your pockets, you greedy old vulture-like bastard.

Not the kind of thing a son would normally think of his father, but after this latest fiasco, Lawrence (Larry to his friends) sure as hell had lost the last modicum of respect he'd had for the man. Not only was he trapped in the house with a shrew of the epitome of a spoilt rich girl, he was actually MARRIED to her.

He edged past her sitting in the kitchen, pouring hismelf some coffee from the machine.

"Morning..." He said coolly.

What the hell was wrong with her father... did he even give a damn about her at all, he basically sold her, to a man he barely even knew... no wonder she hated him.. but if she didn't get married he would cut her off completely not that she didn't work cause she did... but she earned her money from her fathers company and be damned he take it away from her, yes the man truly was a bastard.

I mean come on she knew nothing of her new husband than what she was told of him, egotistical, high society, screw them forget you were ever there to begin with type jerk... what the hell she would hate her father forever for this stunt.

All of this said, it was not a complete loss he was a very handsome man, and hardworking as well....

Yet Becky knew what he thought of her, spoiled little rich girl... but she was not that at all..

''Morning.'' She said looking at the paper she was reading. ''If you want some break feast its on the stove.''

"Thank you..." Larry still remembered his manners, evne if he didn't like the prson he was addressing. He served hismelf some scrambled eggs, toast and bacon before sitting opposite her, taking the business pages she wasn't reading.

"So what are your plans for today, miss Price?"

Becky

She looked up from her paper and slightly smiled... ''Your welcome.'' They both were putting on airs neither liked one another that much was abvious.

''Well seeing as I took a vacation from my job... finally I might read, or go to the mall, I am not sure... you?'' She asked... she was shocked her called her by her last name and not his seeing as she took his, but then again neither of them wanted to be married to the other.

"Well, I took a vacation as well...Remember, we were supposed to be on our honeymoon?" He smiled as he remembered the look on their fathers' faces when tehy told them they weren't going on the trip to Hawaii that had been given to them as a gift - one common thing they could find solace in was screwing over the old bastards who'd landed them here.

"I was thinking the same, catch up on some reading and television. If you tell me what room you're going to be in, I'll be sure to stay out of it and give you your privacy."

Becky

She smiled at that, they really wanted them to go on that vacation... and they were furious when the two of them turned them down she smiled at the thought for a moment.

''This house is yours as well Lawrence... your free to do anything you like and go anywhere you like.'' She said softly standing up and grabbing another cup of coffee.

"Please, call me 'Larry', miss Price...The only people to call me by my birthname have been our loving fathers," He shot her a small smile. "And we both know how popular they are."

Becky

''Then please feel free to call me Becky.'' She said softly witha light smile as she leaned against the counter.

''Yeah there something.'' She said with a small laugh.

"Yeah, definitely," Larry replied, chuckling as he finished up his breakfast before looking at her. "Well, Becky, I don't know if you know this, but your dad pulled me aside at our wedding reception and mentioned that he'd like some grandchildren along the line."

He raised an eyebrow, smiling a bit.

Becky

She smiled as she moved away from the counter not saying anything to him about her father rigth now she didn't want to hear no more of him... ''He'll keep on hoping.'' She said wondering if that was a smug remark on his behalf.

She shook her head and laughed about that last remark.

"Well, I'm going to go grab a swim outside. The weather's pretty nice for once, so you could probably read out on the porch."

With that, he went upstairs and changed into his bathing suit, a grey pair of boardshorts before heading out into the garden. Larry stretched out once, enjoying the sun beating down on his broad shoulders, before diving into the pool.

Becky

Becky nodded her head not sure if his comment about grandchildren was him making a pass at her, then again most couples didn't need to make a pass once married.

''Sure'' She commented about reading on the porch perhaps he was right.

Larry surfaced after diving in, easily making his way to the side and resting on his arms as he saw Becky come out onto the porch. She was definitely not an ugly woman...Indeed, she was one of the most beautiful he'd ever laid eyes on, but...they were just too different.

One was the daughter of a family who's wealth went back a couple of generations, the other was a son who'd managed to take his father's bankrupt company and turn it into an extremely profitable organisation. As Larry saw it, he was a fighter and Becky had had everything handed to her on a silver platter.

And I feel as sorry for her as I do for me...She seems nice, and doesn't deserve to get caught up in this junk either.

Becky

He had a nice body she thougth to herself, she was still wearing her tight black hald top and tight jeans it was warm out but Becky seldon wore skirts.. she was a down home type of woman not that many knew that.

She shook her thoughts away opened her book and looked away from her new husband... she wondered how many woman he had been with not that she cared just wondered if what she heard was true.

She never judged people but he was her husband.

"Are you sure you don't want to join me for a swim, miss Pr-Becky?" He was trying to be nice - maybe she wasn't as bad as he thought. Or hell, maybe they could just try to be friendly - married life was going to be hell if they were sniping at each other the whole time.

Larry's eyes widened when he saw her lithe body filling the swimsuit, her breasts pushing against the soft material and lower down...

...He stopped himself from looking there, directing his eyes at the paving stones in front of him and moving closer to the edge. The damn woman had looked so alluring he was sporting a small erection - nothing big, but still enough so that he'd never hear the end of it from her if she saw it.

Becky

Becky hadn't wore it to make a big deal, but at the moment she hadn't really been out to by anything else, but she did bring her tee shirt out to pull over it after the swim.

She had hoped that Lawrence, ''Larry'' wouldn't think she was wearing it on purpose or anything.

"You look very nice," He said, relieved his voice sounded normal, even a slight bit bored with what he saw. "That suit is very becoming of you, Becky."

Becky

''Thank-you, it's old haven't made time to go out and buy a new one.'' She said softly and smiled kindly at him before walking over to the pool and sitting on the side placing her feet in.

"Old or not, you make it look good," Mentally, Larry berated himself, wanting to know just what the hell he was doing. It wasn't like Becky was the first beautiful girl he'd seen in a bathing suit.

But she is your wife, whether you like it or not...That does attract you a litte...

He moved sideways so he was resting next to where she was sitting, stealing glances at her toned legs.

"So what do you do for fun, Becky?"

Becky

''Thanks, that means a lot.'' She said softly and looked at him kindly... it felt slightly awkward around him, but he was a very handsome man to look at, at least.

Hes your husband she kept saying to herself over and over again... awkward or not.

Her hands seemed to shake at having a man this close to her, Becky rarely let men see her this bare before she had some elf esteem issues.

''I like typical things.. its a small town, I like to go riding, or to the local bowling alley, and to the bar for dancing.'' She said looking at him. ''What about you?"

"I mostly just go out with my friends, hitting a few bars...I give do some part-time teaching down at the high school as well. Apart from that, I just read and relax in the little spare time I have."

Becky

Beckly listened never one to cut anyone from talking. ''You teach?'' She asked softly and looked at him she was way of base she never thought he would teach, much less teach highschool.
