Tanning Salon Robber Shot With Own Gun

(NewsCore) - Police in Orland Park, Ill., on Sunday were investigating the fatal Saturday evening shooting of a would-be robber after he attempted to rob a tanning salon, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The man ordered a female customer to tie the hands and feet of the salon’s employee with rope that he had brought with him. A male customer entered the salon a few minutes later, grabbed the intruder’s handgun, and shot him twice.

The customer who shot the robber was released without charges after he was interviewed by authorities. Orland Park police are investigating the incident.
