I like the into to this new story. I was wondering if Tim might give us a little more backstory on where he sees this going. I would like to add to it, but I am having trouble getting started.

If the main character doesn't know their name why is it immersive? How would the name be worked into the story?

Are there any other thoughts as to directions to go or not go?

Any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated, and I will get to work.

I thought I would ask my question in the forum so every potential writer might benefit from the answer.

:D

name he saw in a paper and just decided to take that name to go by. Or has someone else ID and car keys that has that name

The answers.

Hello,
well I came to the forum to post a thread about my new story and what do my eyes see? A thread already created! Thanks goes to Jakelyon. Let me get the link to this new story out of the way first. Here it is...

A Lost Identity: Sex Fugitive

It begins when the main character, (the gender can be either male or female depending on where the writter goes.) awakens in a shabby motel room without any memory. The room includes a bright orange prison uniform, a gun and a phone number.

This story can go almost anywhere from the introduction thread. It is an imersive story in which the first and last name will be used. You ask how he or she knows their own name. Well there are several ways I believe...

1) the desk clerk at the motel greets the character by the name as they leave the shabby, run-down place.

2) like normal the character has a brief flashback remembering something key and his name. A conversation perhaps with the owner of the phone number.

3) The character sees a wanted poster with their name and face on it.

As for the crime, why is this person a fugitive. That also can go any way. For example...

1) the story is set in the future where sex is outlawed and the character goes from bed to bed breaking the law and evading his persuers. Perhaps it's an anti-sex group?

2) maybe if the main character is a male he slept with the president's daughter or something taboo like that.

3) say the main character is the last man or woman on earth and scientist want to capture the person for testing, and to escape capture the character seduces members of the same or opposite sex into bed so they have a place to hide out.

4) The character could be a scientific test, maybe a super human created only to satisfy sexual desires. But the experiment escapes the lab and developed it's own personality.

It is up to the writters.

So this will become the official thread for A Lost Identity: Sex Fugitive

Thanks,
Tim.

Perfect

This was just the additional direction I was looking for. Lots of nice twisted directions to go.

Thanks.

A dumb question.

Hi

I've got a daft question. In the thread I wrote for A lost identity I left the heroine sitting in a bar deciding whether to phone a number she has. In the next thread I'd planned to have her make the call and be told she has to go to another city to be contacted. The city she has to go to is on the opposite seaboard of the states, say Miami to LA. How many days would it take to drive from Miami to LA? (She decides as a fugitive that train stations, bus terminals and airports are too risky) :nana:
