A thread of discovery for Lustyoo and CG Raven where it will go I have not the slightest idea. But join us on the road of life read and hopefully enjoy.
IC:
It was cold and snowy, the knit cap draw down about my ears, the fur collar of my flight jacket turned up against the wind. At the sound of each vehicle's approach, I turn to stick out my thumb, begging for a ride, and a bit of warmth. Life throws you curve balls every now and then, one day a family man, with a successful business, the next an ex-husband, bleed dry, no place to call home, out on the road of life again, broke and alone. A bitterness that you nurture in your soul for being used then cast away consumes you.
There was nothing in my appearance to encourage any one to stop and offer a ride. I was just another grizzled, old hitchhiker from a bygone era, with his thumb out begging for a lift, to who knows where. Hell this was not the sixties and folks where a lot more cautious now, the trust gone out of the Nation.
I see the dim head lights approach in the gathering half light of the intensifying snow storm. Was the driver slowing down?
