That said, this post is completely un-BDSM related... I need to come up with a good gift for my nephew, Stan, we'll call him.

Stan is a sophomore in high-school. He's a great kid. Unfortunately, he suffers from an extreme form of CP. He's wheel-chair bound, and needs a fair amount of assistance to function in the daily world.

I am looking for suggestions of either: video games, or remote control type things that he can use with just one hand because that's all that is really under his control at any given moment in time. He's quite bright, but I'd like to get him something other than a book or an Itunes card this year. He, of course, would like a car but that's outside my price range. :)

Any ideas?

Well, there is a huge price range between a book and a car, so a hint wouldn't hurt, how much money you want/can spend.

Anyway, the Wii motion controller is a one handed controller. No experience with the games though.

You might want to check this out, too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDpb8zf8Lwk (Fast Forward to 1:05)
He might come up with a solution himself.

Looking to stay about $150-200 price range.

Edited to add: Thanks, that looks like something we might could cobble together.

I work with kids with really severe CP, and the Wii is FABULOUS at adapting to what the kid is able to do.

For example, one boy I work with loves bowling on the Wii, and in theory, you're supposed to make a regular "bowling" motion with the controller. He can only sort of flick the thing overhand, yet he kicks my ass EVERY DAMN TIME.

Love that thing.

Star Wars - The Force Unleashed is a Wii game that is played with one hand.

Hours of fun, especially in single combat mode with the light sabre attachment. :D

Thank you, knot sweet! I could definitely see Stan liking that. I know he'd like to kill a few pixels now and again. :)

Looks like the Wii may be the way to go...

The wii is great for this. The play station has similar remote controls these days, and a camera that shows you playing the game?
