As everybody knows, all religious Jewish men must be circumscised after eight days. I'm Jewish; but I personally don't agree at all with this practice; but that's not the point of this post.

Over the years, I've come to realise that few people outside of the "frum", i.e. religious Jewish community are aware that Jewish women also are clearly identifiable due to a widespread, but fortunately not so barbaric practice among them.

RIsking the wrath of the frummers, I've decided it's time the outside world knew what a religous man hopes to see on his wedding night (but usually can't, becuase the laws on modesty forbid them to see their nakedness):

That is funny.

I may be wrong, but aren't those called praying locks?

:D

Praying for what, one wonders.

They're called "peyas". Some passage in the O.T. stipulated against cutting hair -- I forget the details. I think the rastas keep their hair long for the same reason.

Religious Jewish Men tend to wrap them around their ears so you don't always see them.

They do the same thing with the "peyas" in the photo -- wrap them round their ears. This gives better traction.

I should think you wouldn't be able to see their whole head, nevermind just their ears.

Nice touch 'aka' ;)

First thing I thought: Tie 'em around the back and pretend it's a fur thong.

This whole thing got me thinking about body parts. (It doesn't take much to get me thinking about body parts). I read that the navel is regarded in the some cultures as more sexy than the genitalia.

I can see why, in some cases:

Jeez I'm a closet Jew, and mum said it was hacked off for medical reasons.

I think the permed pubes hanging like that are for really short Jewish guys, they can swing in on them.
