A Little Over 5 Years in the Making....the Tigress is finally looking for a NEW job!

Yes, you heard right, folks!

Heading into NYC tomorrow for a job fair........which will be
focusing on jobs in the magazine industry........

Will see how it goes.........this is my first time in a little over
5 years since I've looked for a new job in general....and at this
point in my life, I need something entirely new, and *away*
from the human services field.....which burnt me out long ago......

As much as I love the residents who I work with at the group
home, there have been a LOT of changes (new staff, etc.) ever
since late June, and many of you have heard about it thru me
talking about it in PM, phone, email, and/or on any of the
threads.........I made a goal for myself to get out of my current
job by the end of this year or the beginning of next year, and I
am going to keep to it no matter what.

Wish me luck tomorrow.....I am excited but very nervous at the
same time!

Things went well today...handed out quite a few resumes
but from the answers I got there are really no jobs
available in what I was interested in.....but we'll see......

Since the job fair represented the magazine industry.....
I was quite flexible in my job possibles such as editing,
writing, marketing, promotion, PR........

I agree...the economy is shit.....and good jobs....at least
GOOD paying jobs w/ bennies are hard to come by.....

And yes....will keep ya'll posted
