No, he's not her father. Sorry, i can see why that might be a bit confusing. The woman crashes her car into his car. They're complete strangers. The Just doesn't have insurance, so the guy blackmails her into sex in return for not call the cops. If it helps, I think the girl had red hair, but I'm not entirely sure about that.

My wife councils victims of abuse. 15 years, countless women, she hasn't run into one yet.
