A link problem

Does anyone out there know why the digit IDs in some links get blanked out with *** instead. It does so when I try to include the URL to my profile page in the sig:

http://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=252***

See? It doesn't matter if I use HTML, vb Code or just type the darn thing in. I save it, and my ID is messed up with dots in the end instead of the right digits.

I've search old posts, and so far I haven't found any good answer.

Anyone?

I'm sorry, I don't have an answer for you. But I did click on the link and it led to an empty profile. It has a link for reporting problems with profiles, so I clicked on it to report it. Maybe that will help....

No worries, I found a workaround.

For anyone interrested, at http://www.shorl.com you can type in one URL and get another handy url that you can use instead, redirecting you to the place you wanted to link. And that one was no problem using here on the board.

So the link to my Lit profile page is now:

http://shorl.com/bydogragrydibo

Just found this in the FAQ on the matter:

It's some kind of censor function. Why certain number combinations are included in the filter is beyond my understanding though. Oh well, no major harm dome.
