It's cold out when Suzy steps out
side. She pulls the thick winter coat
more firmly around her slim body and
looks up and down the streets. At 18 she
was living on the streets. Having been
kicked out the day after her birthday.
her step father no longer wanted her in
their home. her mother had handed her
a back pack with some clothes in it
and 50 dollars in tens and fives with tears
in her eyes she watched her mother shut the front door in
her face.
it was 6 monthes later and she has moved on
having hitch hiked to dallas texas.
she stays where ever she can at night. mostly
under bridges or in forested parks. once in a cemetary.
the weather had changed and a lady at the out reach center
where she goes to get lunch had given her
an old winter coat and suzy couldnt have been
more thankfull for it as the wind whiped around her.
shivering she makes her way down town where her friend
nate was pan handling trying to get enough money to get them
off the street tonight.
walking over she joined him just as a man in a limo
pulled up and rolled down his window.
she could not see his face but he was dressed in a fine and costly
tux. she huddled close to nate trying to get warm as he leaned down to talk
to the man inside.
when motioned to come closer he pats her hand and she lets him go
nate talks to the man in the limo for several minutes before turning back
and smiling at her.
looking at her friend with his short spikey hair of many colors and his
dark brown eyes she frowns.
" whats going on nate.. whys it taking so long?"
nate steps and wraps his small but musceled arms around her shivering body.
" i found us a warm place to stay and some hot food for tonight suzy q honey."
looking at the limo from the corner of her eye she scowls at nate.
" we dont sell our bodies nate.. not even when its cold and we're freezing."
nate laughed and huged her tighter.
" i wouldnt ask you too eithor. he doesnt want sex suze i promise.
he just wants some company thats it. we leave when ever we want."
suzy looks back to the limo its windo still down.
" how can you be so sure he isnt going to kill us or something nate. i just dont know about this."
nate shakes his head and steps back from her.
" babe not every guy offering kindness wants to slice you into pieces. lets just go and see. if you dont like it

sighing she looks up and down the streets. the sun was setting and it was getting colder.
" ok but if i dont like it we split. no arguments."
nate smiles and hugs her. " you got it"
nate ran back to the limo and nodded then the door opened
and nate steps aside and she got in.
sitting in a seat across from the man she pulled nate down next to her as the limo begins to move.
looking at the man she is hit by how handsome and young he is.
she scoots closer to nate her face nearly touching his shoulder.
the man is big. he looks sqwished even in the limo. tall and wide but not fat. she shivers when she looks into his eyes.
they are bluer than blue. almost white in the dark limo as he studies her.
his hair is long but she cant tell how long becuase its praided behind him.
its dark auburn from the looks of it but its hard to tell with the dim lighting.
he's so pale but she can feel the heat coming off of him in waves.
then he smiles at her and she feels as if her breath has been stolen from her lungs.
he is as beutifull as an angel.
