Is there such a thing?

I've scanned a couple of my favorite lesbian writers and their offerings in hopes of finding the answer but have not found anything that answers this question...

Has anyone ever put a story in the Romance section involving two women?

Can you do that? I don't see anything that says you can't but I haven't found any and don't really want to read all of them.

What do you do with a lesbian story that isn't really stroke material but doesn't fit the non-erotic mold either?

I hate misleading readers because I know how I feel when I get led into some area I'm not interested in, but I also think that sometimes I put too many warnings and disclaimers in the openings also.

I think that pretty much all Lesbian stories get put into the cat even if they really aren't stroke.

To put a lesbian story in the Romance cat I think would be just begging for onebombing.

I recall reading a handful of lesbian stories here that would probably had gone into Romance if it hadn't been girl on girl.

So yes. That's where they hide.

I've read straight Couplings stories that would fit better in Romance too IMO.

It would be difficult to put a lesbian story in the romance section I think. If you submittedit as such, I believe the site owners would kick it over to the les Cat. For the reason CD said, you would be geeing one bombed more thna likely. At least one of mine, could have gone in the romance cat. I just didn't consider putting it there.

In the end, the central theme in the romance cat might be the same theme in a story n the les cat, but the sexual action or innuendo and tension are going to be les. I think even a story written as a romance with les characterts would go better in the les cat tahn the romance cat.

Hate to sound like a goober here, but what is onebombing?

Having a troll vote a one or several ones on your submission simply because he (or she) doesn't like your subject, your name, your shoe size, whatever.

But it's the inside that counts. Or so my momma says.

Pretty much all Lesbian erotica includes romance- have you noticed?

Still, it would be nice to include a "romance" subcat inside the lesbian category itself.

WOW. I'm learning a lot today!

Is there anyway to guard against trolls?

Not unless you're into voodoo or old slavic curses.

Troll guarding is easy.

Don't write.
Failing that. don't allow voting.

As for the original question, I thank you all so much for responding. :)

Yes but some of the folks here get impatient with too much romance. I got one anon pissed at my previous lesbian attempt because there was no sex until the third page. and another was disgruntled because I did not mention bra sizes at all. You can always tell someone who has never been with a woman because they put such emphasis on numbers and letters that have so little relevance.

Certainly, there are lesbian romances. I have lesbian couples as friends who I think have very romantic stories and relationships. Perhaps they just don't come through well in stories that are written on a porn board for mass consumption.

Bra size????
Isn't there a tits category?
It like, totally cracks me up, how obsessives see the world filtered through their own fetishes- didn't you KNOW he wanted the bra size in every one of your stories???????
WELL, WHY NOT?
huh?

A lot of minee take a while to develop. My readers seem to enjoy the build up to sex almost as much as the sex. One reason I adore the catagory and readership is they like the style I write in.

I would suspect an Annon harassing you about bra size was probably a guy. Most of my readers don't put much emphasis on something that superficial. Of course I tend to over describe so hoepfully you have a good idea of what a girl looks like without her measurements.

A lot of Lesbian Stories should be put into the Romance section but aren't because of the general mood towards Homosexuality in the readers. (You won't find any Gay Male stories in romance either.)

Maybe we should do away with all but two catagories, just have erotic and non-erotic stories.

Oh, yeah, right. Can you imagine the screams of rage from the fetishists?
"WHy didn't you put BRA SIZES!?
..uh, because gay men don't wear bras?...

Absolutely right. I was referring to the best area to put such a story here.

If you are planning on it, I would highly recomend an authors note att he begining. it won't stop the determined trolls of course, but it will cut down on the "I didn't expect this" one votes

They don't?

LOLOL But maybe it would be worth it?
Maybe it's time some people woke the hell up and realised that thier way of thinking isn't the only one out there?

Oh yeah, that might hurt their feelings and we can't be politicaly incorrect now can we.

Well, I thought I did a decent enough describing job too, but what do I know? There was also an anon would told me that it was great until the sex started and then it seemed rushed (guilty, I enjoy the buildup even more than the main event whether reading or involved, which is why I think your work is so great). He suggested I read your how to. I had already, which makes me shudder when I think of what he would have thought without it. Hey, the story was around 4.69 the last time I looked, so I'm not complaining about 3 guys opinions. Wait a minute... yes I am.
