Eve Wolf was the king of girl who was very resourceful, she was smart and rather beautiful. But she wasn't a people person really, something she couldn't help with her line of work. She hated this part of her, but it was something she couldn't stop, she made a vow to protect the innocent from the creatures that go bump in the night, and its something that she hated to do. She was born into the world of darkness, into the world of death. Some didn't understand what it meant to be a hunter, and she had no choice in the matter. She was trained to kill, trained to be ruthless and it really was not her. She wanted to share the world with the creatures that valued the lives of humans, not all were horrible monsters.

Not all were bogeymen that wanted nothing but death of those weaker, Eve had watched her parents die before her eyes when she was ten years old. Taken down by the supernatural, and it almost broke her down. But she kept an open mind, she found out that her parents had taken out a child and that caused the supernatural forces to kick some ass. Her parents dying was the result in a bad choice but it was hard to speak for what wasn't human, and it really sucked and hurt a lot. But she moved beyond that, not quickly it took a lot of time but she ended up loving something after all. She tried to keep away from everyone but that wasn't going to happen.

She had met a man a bit older then her, he had become everything to her very quickly. She had to keep this part of her hidden of course, something she really didn't want to do but had no choice in the matter. She wanted to keep him safe, because she loved him more then anything. If something was to happen to him she would forever regret it and so kept him at arms length when it came to what she did. He meant everything to her and it was kinda hard to stay away from him. She vowed to be true to him and keep him safe. But she had no idea he had a big secret of his own. She had no idea what she would do without him, when they met she had been hurt badly on a hunt.

A hunt that went very bad and it was kinda hard to shake it off, but with his help she mended and for the first time trusted someone. Which felt nice to trust someone for once. Every time they touched it felt like her skin was on fire, his touch gentle and very loving. When he asked her to marry him she said yes in a heart beat. Now when she goes out hunting she looks down at her engagement ring, every time she hunted became harder to lie to him. If she lost him then she would lose everything. But trust was going to play a very big part, and the love they had for one another. Because he was forced to go on a hunt, the night they were meant to have a date.

What most people called "supernatural" Alexander Weston, called "his life". His family was one of the oldest and strongest werewolf clans on the continent. As such, great things were expected of him, something that was made quite clear to him at a very young age. The name Alexander was a very old and powerful name, and was not given out lightly.

One of the many things that was naturally expected of Alex was his future mate. Lesser werewolves had the freedom to pick and choose their mates as they wished. He was not so fortunate, however. He was expected to mate for political reasons and gain, nothing else. It was an old custom to be sure, and one that many a noble hated. He was glad that his family had yet to find him a suitable match, though, because it left him free to do as he pleased until a suitable match was found.

Alex had had many a woman in his one hundred plus years of life, but none had effected him as much as Eve Wolf. He fond himself particularly fond of her last name, for the sake of it's inherent irony. He hadn't yet told her the truth about himself, but that was far from uncommon. Most people wouldn't believe him even if he told them, and others would consider something stupid like trying to go public with the knowledge, an act that would lead to unsavory consequences. As such, he was forced to keep his secret from Eve, despite how close the two had become. Hell, he'd even proposed to her in secret, hoping to run away with her one day after he turned her. Until such time came, however, he was forced to both keep his secret, and take precautions. He tried to make sure that they didn't have any dates during the three nights of the full moon. Though the moon did not hold the same sway over a natural werewolf as it did an afflicted one, it heightened all of his senses and abilities. As such, his sex drive went into overdrive during those three days, making it incredibly difficult to not literally throw Eve down, ravage her, and turn her.

Despite his precautions however, he still found it very difficult to say no to his future mate. So when she had insisted on them going out on the anniversary of the day they'd first met, he'd eventually given in. He gave himself one final look in the mirror before he grabbed his car keys and his wallet and headed for the door. He knew that he would be spending the entirety of the car ride trying to mentally prepare himself for the internal struggles that he was about to endure, but deep down, he knew that it would be worth he wait...one day.

Eve always thought of Alex and sometimes it seemed like he wanted to tell her things but didn't go through with it. Everyone had secrets, hell she hadn't told him she was a hunter. Most of what she killed was werewolves, but when she killed them she killed them fast, with mercy something no other hunter would be caught doing. Some hunters loved to capture and slowly kill them, but Eve's heart wouldn't allow that. Things were hard with her skeletons that were in her closet, she needed to tell Alex that much she did know. She most likely would be excommunicated but didn't care to much it would mean she didn't have to hunt any more. But for now all she knew was hunting, that was her job and it paid well. But there were times she didn't want to hunt, to tell the league to go fuck themselves.

But she never did and she didn't even know why, all this went through her head as she got dressed for her date with Alex. She wore a black dress that was slit on each side showing her legs, was a bit low cut. A necklace lay against her bare chest. It was of a wolf howling at the moon, something he had given her and ever since he gave it to her, she hadn't taken it off it meant that much to her. Her hair was in a braid with her bangs laying on each side of her face, she looked at herself and smiled, liking what she saw. She grabbed her keys, and small purse, making sure she had her custom made weapon on her bag. Made to be able to be put in a purse in case she needed to go hunting last minute. She hoped that tonight wouldn't be ruined because of hunting.

It seemed quite, which kinda worried her because it felt like the calm before the storm. Eve locked her door behind her and drove to where they were to meet. She was a bit early but wanted to enjoy the night. She was sitting on the hood of her car when she heard a blood curtailing scream. She sighed thinking of Alex as she took out her weapon, she pushed a button that was on the hilt and out came a blade, to expose a sword with a gun attached to it. It was known as a gun blade. She followed the screams and found a woman and a toddler no older then two years old. She saw a man with the same sword she had, noticed it must have been a hunter.

When he threatened the life of the child the woman turned right before her own eyes, into a werewolf and now she understood. After several minutes the mother collapsed on the ground horribly wounded, but the mother looked at her. And a chill went right down her spine, still in werewolf form she heard her speak to her. It was a request she would never forget, and that request would come with a face and a voice to haunt her. Her blood went cold and heart became rather warm for the woman. "Protect my daughter...please" With that request the hunter was going right for the toddler, the look on the woman's face made Eve snap. She had her sword right in her hand.

When he was getting ready to plunge his sword in the heart of the child, she acted fast and thrust her sword through his back and out his chest. Killing him and showing the mercy she had shown countless lives. She removed her sword and the hunter collapsed dead onto the ground. She wiped the blood off her blade and pushed the button allowing it to go smaller and knelt over the woman, she put her hand over the wound as her blood drained quickly. Her child was crying cuddled up to her mother. For the first time ever Eve showed a lot of emotion, tears forming into her eyes.

"Protect....My....Daughter..." The mother managed to say to her before she died, Eve felt cold all over. Had she gotten there sooner the woman would be alive, she didn't know what she would do with a child with the blood of the wolf. But she couldn't kill the child, for the child was innocent and hadn't done anything wrong. When it came down to it she started to cry over the woman's body. She closed her eyes and her head was bowed she was filled with a kind of rage she had never felt. When her eyes opened she looked at her hands, covered in the woman's blood. Looking around she found a puddle of water and washed her hands off. She walked over to the child, which cowered and whimpered at her. She couldn't kill this child, she wouldn't kill. Without a word she shushed the toddler and cradled the baby in her arms. She looked at the mother.

"Rest well young mother, I will protect her" She didn't know what to do with the child

When Alex pulled up to the small restaurant, he saw Eve's car, but knew immediately that she wasn't in it. He turned his car off and stepped out, expecting that she would be standing nearby. When he didn't see her, he pulled out his phone to look for a message form her, perhaps telling him to meet her inside. When he didn't see any message from her he turned towards the door of the restaurant. He stopped when he reached the door, though, because he knew from the lack of her scent that she hadn't gone inside.

With Alex's mind thinking the worst, he headed back to Eve's car. He picked up her unique scent when he got close, and immediately started to follow it around the corner of the small building towards the woods behind it. With Eve's scent getting stronger with each step he took, he entered the woods without hesitation. A sudden howl echoing through the woods immediately caught his attention. An average person might have mistaken it for a dog or maybe a wolf, but werewolves could recognize their own in any number of ways, the howl included. He immediately burst into a sprint, his eyes easily being able to see where he was going, despite the low visibility. The scent of blood in the air only added to his pace, his body threatening to transform. It was only because he knew the blood didn't smell like Eve's that he didn't transform here and now with the intent to explain everything to her later.

The last thing Alex expected to hear as he ran was the death cry of a werewolf. It came just as his sharp eyes picked up a hint of movement in the distance. He slowed his pace to minimize noise as he crept forward, wanting to see what was going on before his presence was known.

Noting could have prepared Alex for what he saw through the darkness. There was a dead woman on the ground, leaning against a tree, bleeding from several stab wounds. At her side was a child, clearly her child from the scent. Though the child as too young to show any signs of it's true nature, scents didn't lie. The child was a werewolf, no doubt about it. A man stood over the child, a silvery gun blade in his hand. Alex had to suppress the growl that threatened to escape his throat as the hunter approached the child with his weapon held high, his intent clear. It was then that Alex saw Eve. She darted out from behind a tree and ran he man though...with her own gun blade.

There was no stopping the growl this time, and though he knew that Even wouldn't be able to hear it, it's intent was there all the same. He knew what Eve was now, knew the secret she'd kept from him. Though he couldn't blame her for that secret, if she made a move against that child, too young and innocent to be a threat to anybody, he would do what had to be done.

Nothing had to be done, though, he watched from a distance as Eve actually cried over the dead woman's body. Even when she eventually stood and moved to wash the blood off her hands, he continued to watch. It wasn't until he saw her cradle the child in her arms that he finally felt comfortable to turn around. He wanted to go to her and tell her everything, but sadly her actions didn't change what she was, a hunter and killer of werewolves.

With his mind going a mile a minute, he first walked, and then ran back towards the parking lot. As much as he wanted to approach her and find out what all she knew, it would not do for him to tell her what he had seen. He had to keep his knowledge of her secret hidden from her until he could find out what all she knew about him and his family. Her ignorance of his knowledge would make it easier for him to follow her, and that was exactly what he intended to do.

When he got back to the parking lot, Alex pulled out his phone. He didn't know if she had any reception in the woods, but he had to try. If that didn't work, he would call out to her, but he needed to cover all of his bases first, lest she suspect that he might have seen her in the woods. As he waited to see if she would pick up, he started to brush the dirt off of his otherwise black tuxedo. He could only do so much about the wrinkles, and did what he could, hoping that when he eventually saw her, she'd be too distracted by everything that had happened to notice the fine details.

Eve didn't know what was going to happen she didn't want to leave the child any place, while she held the infant in her hands she thought she sensed someone watching her but she didn't see anyone so perhaps it was all in her head. She had no idea what she was going to do but leaving the baby was no option if the mother was a werewolf so wasn't the child most likely. So she knew that everything was going to get complecated with the child and when it came to the love of her life she didn't know how to tell Alex about this baby, but she knew if she left it some place that the little bundle would be taken in by someone who would have no idea what she was getting into. Hell he didn't even know what she was getting into since she was suppose to kill there kind not love them, befriend them and no way in hell guard them. But deep down Eve always hated the hunter part.

She was thinking deep down about Alex when her phone rang, so she held the child close to her chest and began to walk fast back to the car while she answered the phone. "Hey Alex I am so sorry something happened and I need your help Alex, I will tell you when I get there thought it will be easy to tell what the problem is" She loved to hear the sound of his voice, she hoped that he would know what to do and right now she wasn''t about to leave the sweetiest baby she had ever seen. She made it back to the car within a few minutes. Her weapon was in her bag hidden in a very small bundle that she had put in a velvet bag inside her purse that she took out on dates. Everything went through her head a mile a minute, she was worried perhaps she did the wrong thing. She had to tell him what happend to some extent she had no clue what to say to even start this.

She saw him and smiled, she had the little bundle in her jacket to keep her warm. Right now she sighed a little bit. "This is what I mean" She opened up the jacket a little to show what she was sheltering from the cold night. "A ran into the woods because I heard something, there was a woman that had been hurt badly by someone and this baby....I couldn't leave her behind the woman is dead Alex. I didn't know what to do but felt I had to protect this child and not sure why"
