"The Mantis Drug"

A drug company is researching "Female Enhancement" drugs. One of the attempts is shown to cause human females to become very arousable in short order, but despite rather some extensive testing, no way is found to get around the side effect that follows the intended effect of the drug: It boosts IQ but alters personality such that the woman becomes homicidal, uninhibited, and cannibalistic for some random amount of time.

While this is a major defeat for the drug company, someone steals it anyway, to sell on the street for quick profit as a date rape drug. Unhappiness follows...

Presumably this "mantis drug" isn't the one that created the crime fighter "mantis?"
Okay, negative two fanboy points for me, for suggesting it was a drug that made Mantis into a crime fighter and not that he was an alternate version of Batman.

"Cannibalistic" makes for a very different kind of sex story. While semi-factual (only 25% of praying mantises enact cannibalism), unless your intention is to make a serial killer series (or lengthy single-story) about one enhanced female, it also might run head on into one of Literotica's rules.
I'm paraphrasing because the story concept was foreign to me, thus my lack of interest remembering it:
I believe you can write a straight murder story, but a sex and murder story has to have comeuppance for the murderer, by the story's end. Whether you are allowed to do that across several chapters of posted stories, is unknown to me, as, again, I lack interest in the subject matter.

Also, technically speaking, if you want to base the story around the mantis concept, that means she has sex to get pregnant. So, if every time she has sex, she kills her lover, and then gets preggers, (and if you do make it a serial killer concept) the story timeline will stretch out over YEARS.

I had honestly thought it would be various date rapists that would be getting their comeuppance. I hadn't thought that the drug would last for more than sex-followed-by-murder. Were it a series, I thought it would be about the various rapist/victim combinations. Suddenly-extremely-brilliant women who would very quickly realize what had likely happened, while having their normal morals suppressed, and a few very strong urges added.

Not saying your idea was a bad one, just that theme doesn't appeal (if you can see the difference). I like the twist that the murderer is an extremely intelligent woman, which suggests she gets away with it.

It has been theorized (no cannibalistic female mantii have been interviewed to date; to ask "why?"), that the reason the female mantis kills, then eats her mate is for increased egg production. It seems females that don't eat their mate are more likely to have low egg production (that and have cigarettes afterwards, probably. Bad Mantii! No cigarettes! Now go eat your mates!!).

Sorry, I don't think I'm helping here.

It's the "theme doesn't appeal" that I don't get. Surely there is plenty of injustice in the world. This would be a story (or stories) where someone that would willingly rape women is visited with fast and accurate karma.

It could be fun story, even one with sort of hammered in moral (perhaps literally, lol), but...

All my knowledge about that is secondhand at best, but as far I understand rules of this site, it wouldn't likely publish here. Neither snuff (a sex resulting in death, or death as part of the pleasure of sex act) nor even true rape are supposedly allowed here, only reluctance, "she loved it at the end," or the abhorrent concept of rape gone right is (well, from what I have read, serious rape can slip try if is offscreen or side event in a longer story that isn't posted to non-consent category)), and rumor is, the editor doesn't like mayhem at all and can easily reject gratuitous violence just for that.

My suggestion would be a Cabin in the Woods type of theme. Just think the whole government manipulation and multiple choices for villains make it interesting.
