I notice that my on-line shopping purchases are arriving 2-3 days after I place the order. Six months ago the orders took 2-4 weeks to arrive. I cant imagine USPS is better, I suspect the volume of mail has crashed.

I ordered something from Amazon about six months ago and got it in two days. I haven't noticed any difference at all.

There are significant differences in delivery times based on the route the package takes. It sometimes takes 10 days for a package to travel to me across town (because the package goes 200 plus miles to the parcel mail center, then comes back). Shippers know better than to send media mail to Hawaii or Alaska, because the packages spend weeks waiting in California).

Most things I order come from Atlanta, which is, at most, two hours from me. *shrug*

Hmmmm,

I did notice when I ordered my wifes Christmas present they said it would take 14 business days. It showed up in the mail box in three days.

Same here. I figure it was the company just being careful. For the most part, anything I've ever ordered online took only a few days, a week at the most.

Dunno why it might seem to be going faster for you, JBJ. Maybe, six months ago, you had bad luck.
