Well it is Friday the 13th which for me has always been nothing short of a national holiday. This Friday the 13th is more special than usual however. Looking at my submissions page the other day I realized that my first literotica story "Almost Perfect (vanilla BDSM)" debuted on 5/13/2010.
So seeing that, I stalled a few days on submitting my latest chapter and submitted it Tuesday, gambling I would get posted in the usual three days. Well I did, so today on my one year anniversary, my 43rd story came out.
It's been a year and I want to thank all those who have helped me, from the editors I've had, to the people here who have answered my questions. Just like anywhere in real life I've made some friends and pissed some people off but well hey thats life.
It's a big deal for me because after a lot of wrong turns I did not think I would ever be able to write but the wife encouraged me and finding Literotica was the best thing for me. I saw some real good material here that inspired me but also saw some real crap that made me say "Shit, I can do that!"
I still get a kick out of positive feedback (and negative as well especially the really nasty ones) and still find it exciting that people are reading and getting into my characters. I hope I always do. I had also owned a comic book store which had been an ambition of mine but after five years it closed and I became so bitter I sold all of my own collection and would rather read a technical manuel than ever pick one up again.
I vowed I would always keep the writing as fun, and a year later, I still have. it's a hobby and a release and I've met some very cool people here. So just wanted to put this up as a bit of a thank you to the Litsters here because although I come across a little whacky sometimes I do enjoy it here and appreciate the fine people who post here. Even you JBJ.
P.S. I'd thank SRpilot as well but he would just say I was baiting him
