Glossary of gender identity terms
This guide was created with help from GLAAD. We also referenced resources from the National Center for Transgender Equality,
the Trans Journalists Association, NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ Journalists, Human Rights Campaign, InterAct and the American Psychological Association.
This guide is not exhaustive,
and is Western and U.S.-centric. Other cultures may use different
labels and have other conceptions of gender.

Are we making the topic more confusing by trying to identify every segment of this segment of the population?

Thanks for posting and I thought I'd chip in ahead of the trolls. Most of these terms are niche ones and Jo Public needn't stress over them.

Occasionally in a bar with like-minded people, you might here people use such terms, in a jokey way "Hi, I'm demi trans aromantic" and it's not different to soccer fans talking about the offside rule or folks reading out their horoscope. Yes, they have a role to play in diagnostic or counselling scenarios where it's a shorthand to a more lengthy explanation.

Mostly trans folk or 'non-binary' ( don't shoot the messenger ) people just want to be left alone to get on with their lives. Sure there are serious issues of basic human rights for marginalised people that have to be fought out in the courts, but for the most part there's 'nothing to see here, move along'

I resent having to learn different words for every fucking person I come across, just because they want to feel like a special little snowflake!

And that's why I don't bother remembering any of your names, and simply refer to you all as cunt.

I call everyone, "Ole Buddy"

It's not that i don't know your name, it's that I don't care.
