Walk Down That Road Slowly
Walk down that road slowly, Dear Strom
waving goodbye, shaking hands, smiling,
Thank you for your courage, your kindness
and your lifelong dedication
Walk down that road slowly, Dear Strom
on the way to your promised land
The grounds are hallowed where you still stand
in our grateful hearts and minds.
Walk down that road slowly, Dear Strom
the one you paved with diligence and loyalty
Honorable Statesman, man of the people,
You will not be placed in the back of our minds
Walk down that road slowly, Dear Strom
so we all may say goodbye.
Thank you for your legacy,
thank you for your time,
God Bless You

To those of you who did not know him, or only knew what was said on the news, I want to say, he was truly a great man, loved by people of ALL races and political persuasions. He spent his entire adult life serving this state and country, and if a person, anyone, needed help, he would do his best. He actually took calls from constituents and returned messages..he was truly a man of the people and will be sorely missedhttp://www.wltx.com/news/news19.asp?storyid=11956
