(Need one female, pm me if interested)
Houston, Texas
"You did what?!" Nate Hanson yelled at his friend and partner.
"You know i don't keep any secrets from Julie. When she asked me about you i just told her that you had to figure stuff out." Jack Stanton couldn't really hide his smile.
Nate lowered his head into his hands as he figured it was out in the open now.
"After i said that." Jack paused for just a moment. "My wife are a bulldog. She would have tortured me to reveal what i meant." Now he had a grin on his face.
Nate looked up and sighed in defeat. "So you had to tell her that i was thinking of moving to Chicago?" He said in a lower voice.
"Yup, that about covers it." Jacks grin got wider. "It is not the end of the world you know."
If looks could kill Jack had dropped on the spot. "You told Julie." Nate looked down again. "You know that you started a chain reaction do you?" Damn Jack he thought to himself. This was not what Nate needed right now.
"You told her last night and this morning Samantha invited me to dinner at her place." He looked up again with pain clearly showing in his face.
"You have killed me. I hope you realise that."
Jack laugh at how silly his friend was acting. "It cant be that bad. I know you have had dinner with Sam plenty of times."
"Yes, but now it is at her place. She will cook." Nate's painful expression was still there as he looked at his friend.
"She obviously want me dead as she didn't hear of my plans from me but from her best friend. Your wife." Nate sighs again. "You must have known that Julie would tell Samantha."
"Yeah, well... I am rather fond of all my vital parts." Jack laughed again. "I better leave. I have an appointment with some potential clients." Jack say and walk over to the door. "I wish you luck though." With a wink he leave Nate alone in his office.
What a mess Nate thought to himself as he stare at the closed door. He couldn't blame Samantha if she wanted to kill him. But food poisoning? He could think of more pleasant ways to go.
Samantha had been his best friend for the better part of four years now. They held no secrets from each other. They comforted one another when a relationship went to hell. They even dated occasionally. Nothing seriously. Just when none of them was involved with anyone else. They rather went out together than with any of their other friends. Most of them was married anyway. It had happened once or twice that they had made out. Nothing they ever mentioned as both were drunk at those times. Nate assumed both of them choose to act as they didn't remember it because they were drunk.
Nate stared down at the papers in front of him on the desk without really seeing them. With a sigh he opened the desk drawer and put them there. He was really nervous. In this mood he would get nothing done so it was no use of trying. Instead maybe he should get prepared for an evening at Samantha's. With a grunt he lowered his head to the desk again.
