The Hillcrest reality company was one of the most sought after places to work for anyone who wanted a chance at the big bucks in real estate. When Oprah wanted a fifty million dollar Hampton beach front home. Hillcrest was called. When An oil Barron wanted to buy a hotel in downtown Manhattan it was Hill Crest. If you lived in New York and you wanted property you called Hill Crest.

Cole Bryant was just one of those people. He was 27, good looking had a hot girlfriend and was easily the most popular realtor in the bullpen. A name coined for the agents that hadn't quite made it. Hillcrest did not give advancement easily, so when word came that a senior agent was retiring and opening up a spot in the big leagues, where the multi million dollar properties were sold Cole jumped at the chance.

"I'll tell you Pete that job is so mine!" Cole said to a buddy who was also one of his support pillars in the company. Cole hated to do grunt work, so he used cunning, bribery and even black mail to get people to do that for him. Most didn't even know he was tricking them and they did it willingly.

"Well there's Malcolm and Sydney I don't think they will just step out of your way willingly!" Pete said with a smile. He to should have gunned for the spot but left it to Cole. Cole gave a derisive laugh.

"Mal is a coke head and Sydney is a chick!" Cole said waving a hand as if swatting them out of the way. Pete like the good little lap dog he was just agreed with Cole. "No it's the old man. William that is who I need to impress. He's eye fucked Nikki as well as... Well you know, at every company event yet he barely knows my name. The juniors all like me but they have little to do with promotion! If they did I would be looking out my 30th floor office window right now!" Cole said with a sigh.

Sydney Fancher

http://a3559z1.americdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Must-Have-Clothing-Items-for-Professional-Women-3.jpg

Sydney Fancher stared at the paperwork on her desk. She was so close to stepping into her dream position her at Hill Crest. She knew everything that was needed to do a fabulous job, if the power that be that be would just look beyond the usual options and think outside the box.

She knew just who her adversary was. Cole! Cole Bryant. Just thinking about him set her teeth on edge. Such a waster. He was someone who always made light of everything. All the ladies in the office thought he was cute though she heard that he had a significant other. There was also Malcolm, but he was always falling short. No, Cole was the real problem.

She personally didn't trust the man. He never seemed to put in the work yet he had climbed the ladder rapidly since his arrival with the company. If it wasn't for his SO, and the fact that all the all the officers of the company were men, she would gave thought that he must be bedding someone. That still could be true, she guessed.

She leaned back in her chair, stretching. She had been working hard on this proposal and felt that it could be just what would help her break through the glass ceiling that this company still had. She hoped to change all of that.

She had found the perfect project - 2330 Westminster Street. She knew that a certain business was looking to expand, and she knew that this particular building would be going up for sale soon. If she played her cards right, this could be her opening into what she desired. She knew that no one knew about 2330 Westminster yet.

She chewed on her pencil making copious notes. As she heard footsteps approach, she casually covered her pad. She didn't want to draw attention to anything.

Looking up, she saw Pete walking by. She watched him, the idiot grinned at her and she just watched him. She trusted no one. No one! Until she could work the deal and show Mr. William Hillcrest that she had what it took for the job.

There would be the usual mad dash to impress, it had been well before Cole's time since the last promotion was given. He had befriended several of the older agents, who seemed unable or unwilling to push for seat at the table. They had told him all about the way the office turned into a cold war, spying, deceit and just good old fucking over your fellow man was common place. William turned a blind eye, he liked his staff hungry and liked the ones willing to do what it took to close the sale.

Going into his seventieth year he was still sharp as a whip and deadly as a heart attack. Cole knew he couldn't bully or trick the 'old man' as everyone called him. He would have to prove actual worth to him.

With a month to go before Jennings was to walk out, leaving a gorgeous office with a window view and a membership to the prestigious Piping Rock Golf and Country club. Membership to the Equinox Printing House health club. Not a lot of time to get your name in the ring and show William why your deserved it. But it would be worth it, and all the perks man the list was endless. Once in you were set, as William Hillcrest would have to admit he made a mistake if he fired you. And everyone knew William never made mistakes. He and Nikki could move out of their dingy apartment in Brooklyn and maybe get a place in the upper west side of even near Washington square. Nikki was going to school at NYU and would love to live closer to the campus.

It seemed that it was go time. He looked through his list of properties, they were all small and shit. None would turn a head. He needed something grand. It couldn't be to big, or one of the senior agents would just take it over and he would be pushed out. That shit went on all the time. It was just another reason he needed this promotion. "I wonder what Sydney and Malcolm have up their sleeves." he thought as he closed his open files, on his computer. Hey leaned back in his chair and looked around, Malcolm was gone from the office. Malcolm was not a threat, if it looked at all like he was going to get it Cole would just let his coke habit leak. Sydney was the issue though he would never say it out loud, she scared him. She was smart, hard working and beautiful, she was also a woman that couldn't be bullied. She was the threat to his advance.

Getting up he walked over to Malcolm's assistant. Tracy, a thin brunette with big eyes and next to no chin. She was by all accounts pretty but she didn't know how to dress or act the part of a high end assistant.

"Tracy. Beautiful Tracy." Cole flirted. He flirted and did his best to be everyone's friend. This worked on most of the staff seeing he was charming and good looking.

"Hey Mr. Bryant." Tracy said blushing a little. Malcolm had made a cardinal sin with her, he ignored her and treated her like the hired help. Where Cole talked to her like she was an important part of the Hillcrest team and paid attention to her. He truly didn't care one bit about her but he knew the value of keeping friends like her.

"Cole; please call me Cole. So what's ol' stick in the mud working on?" He asked sitting on the edge of her desk. The junior staff didn't have offices, but instead they had cubicles, they provided some privacy but not much you still had to watch your back and keep shit locked up. Only a handful of agents kept assistants as they were not cheap and you had to share your limited space with them. Cole just had his underlings, his little gang do his work for him. He would cut them a small percentage of his close to help keep them happy, he would even throw them accounts that were so small and shitty that he wouldn't touch them. They in turn were his loyal little minions.

"Oh Cole you know better then to ask me that. Mr. Riess will fire my ass if he even catches me talking to you. Especially with the looming promotion." Tracy said shaking a finger at him.

"Alright, alright your right! I wouldn't want you in trouble. Just I happen to have two tickets to the Knick's, Heat game this Friday. I know your boyfriend loves basketball!" He said tempting her with his bribe. This was what Cole did best, find out peoples weakness and use it to his advantage, either through bribery or blackmail. Tracy went red, the game was sold out and her boyfriend would love to go to it. She seemed to be thinking hard on what to do.

"2587 Church st in..." she began.

"Brooklyn. That shit heel, doing business in my back yard. Not to worry my dear. I found out through an aquaintence who happens to live on Church. Here you go and mums the word on this conversation." He handed her the two tickets, which he got through black mailing a poor sap in accounting, who he caught stealing the company's older computers. Cole stood up and looked over at his beautiful rival. He winked and made pistols with his hands at her.

KC

She watched Cole brown nosing Tracy for information. The dirty rat! The way the scum's face lit up, it had to be something juicy. And the way he fired his imaginary guns at her, like he was shooting her down. Damn! It had to be good. Malcolm couldn't keep his nose off a coke line if his life depended upon it so how did he get a good lead? Damn!

She had one good lead, but a woman had to work twice as hard as a man. So she needed a backup plan, or an alternate.

She saw Tracy get up and go to the ladies room. She knew what the woman was up to in there, especially after having just talked to Cole. She had gone in once after seeing the woman talking with Cole. If she was going to finger herself, she needed to be quieter about it.

She walked over towards Tracy's desk. No one was looking at her. And she didn't see Cole around anywhere. She pretended to look for Tracy and not seeing her, picked up a sticky pad, writing the girl a note. About the time, one of the other girls walked by and noticed Sydney.

"You looking for Tracy? I just saw her heading for the ladies room. She be back in about 20 minutes."

Sydney looked up at the girl. "Oh, drat! I'll just catch her later then. It wasn't that important." She smiled and thanked the girl as she crumpled the note and threw it in the trash.

She walked back to her desk and sat down. Picking up her pencil, she looked down at the blank top sheet before lifting it showing the writing underneath. She looked around and seeing no one watching her, she smoothed out the crumpled note she had palmed in front of her.

"2587 Church St." She smiled.

This was just the luck he needed. Now he had to usurp that deal from Malcolm, land it and then he would be ahead of little miss prim and proper.

Cole was now riding a high. He sat at his desk and looked up the property and took some notes. Then he called Nikki to secure a link between Cole and the property owner, this was to keep Tracy in the clear. He would still need to deal with Sydney though, she was no push over and left unchecked she could and surely would fuck with his advancement. After a very short time his ADD kicked in and he got up. "No need to comb through the shit stack today!" he almost sang to himself as he grabbed his jacket off the back of his chair. The shit stack was his name for the files that were handed down to the bullpen. 3/4 of a million dollar transactions at the very most. It put food on the table and afforded a decent social life, but did nothing to impress the boss.

He headed out to the deli attached to the lobby. He called up the owner. It took a little bit but managed a first meeting with them. Now happy with all the hard work he had done, this was just the start he needed.

KC

2587 Church St.

2587 Church

2587

Shit!!! Sydney grabbed the files that had come in the bullpen that morning. Every morning she diligently scanned the files that were passed down. There might not be anything of interest but she believed in at least knowing what was out there.

She found the file and tried not to show too much glee as she headed back to her desk. Her hands almost shook as she looked at the address on the folder tab.

2585 Church St. Yessssss!

She checked the records. There was only 4 buildings on that side of the block. 2581, 2583, 2585, and 2587. So what were the chances of two buildings, next door to each other, up for sale. And she had the file for 85!

Sydney jumped on the phone and started making calls, setting up appointments. Set an appointment with 85 for ASAP. She grabbed her laptop, the files for 85 and info for 87 and stuffed it in her briefcase. Loaded up with everything she headed for the elevators, giving the receptionist the high sign that she was out and available via phone.

Once out on the street, she snagged a cab and headed for her meeting while trying to set up something for 87.

So much for lunch.

He met up with Pete and few of the others for early beers, they talked about the day and keeping mum about his new find Cole asked the boys what they were up to. You would think after a few years working with Cole they would have learned what a snake he was. But no they all blabbed about their accounts and most were of little interest. Then Pete said that Sydney had left the office early too. This news was not good. Sydney was as he remembered a number cruncher and rarly left the office early, choosing like many of them to have meetings in the late afternoon. "Do you know what's up with her?" Cole asked trying to be casual.

"No clue! She was happy though! Ever notice how good looking she is?" Pete asked in the same tone one might talk about a crush in high school.

"Keep it in your pants Pete, she is clearly a dyke!" Cole said not really paying attention to his friend. Why did he leave so fucking fast today. He needed to be smarter, keep an eye on her. He was stupid to think this Church street was a lock. It wasn't, there was still a good chance that Malcolm would be able to keep the client, or that the whole account was a dud. A tire kicker. "Fuck me!" Cole blurted out. His boys looked at him.

"What's up?" Pete asked.

"That fucking saucy minx. She's on to something, Pete I want you back at the office and maybe do a little snooping!" Cole ordered. Pete looked a little pissed but Cole shot him a look. Pete got up and walked out of the pub. Pete had made the mistake of cheating on his wife, then made the bigger mistake of letting Cole know. Though he never outright black mailed him or held it over his head. Cole's look told Pete that he wasn't afraid to. Cole got up to, he put a fifty down and took change from the pile of bills from the agents that had left the table. When ever they would leave they would drop money for their share and tip, Cole was quick and took back seventy. "See you boys tomorrow!" He said and ran to hale a cab. "2587 Church and there's a twenty in it for you if you make in under 30 minutes." He told the cabbie. Who nodded and raced for the Brooklyn bridge. Cole made several calls to the owners of the property. He needed to get them to sign on with him asap, he couldn't waste any more time. No more fucking around.

Sydney walked into the main office at 2585 Church. She gave her name to the receptionist and in short order was shown into the office of Richard Gleason.

"Good day Mr. Gleason. I'm Sydney Fancher. I'm with Hillcrest Realty. I understand that you are interested in selling this wonderful building. I'm very interested as to why you would wish to do so."

"Good day Miss Fancher. I've certainly heard of Hillcrest and am impressed to hear from you. I have to tell you that from what I understand, the building next door may be going up for sale too."

For the next hour and a half, Sydney met with Mr. Gleason, discovering just what was going on. By the end of the meeting, she had his signature on the dotted line, and a lead into just what was happening in this little twist up. She thanked him and left, feeling proud of her deduction that had paid off. She looked at her watch as she stood outside the building. She eyed the two buildings. It was too late today. Tomorrow she would have to hit the county clerks office first thing in the morning and check with the county recorder.

She smiled. She knew she was on to something. Something hot!

When Cole got to Church street he walked up to the building. He tried the door. It was locked. "Fuck!" he swore. A man was walking out to his car from the next building. "Excuse me Sir. Do happen to know the owner of this property?" The man eyed Cole with distrust. "Sorry, I'm Cole Bryant I work for Hillcrest, the people who own this building are using my firm for the sale. Well wouldn't you know it I went and left the file at the office. Scatter brain!" Cole said with his best charming smile. The man was a little more relaxed at hearing this, the charm was working once again.

"Hello. Well to tell you the truth we were just in a meeting with a lovely young lady about our building, not as grand, but she feels she can get up a good price for her!" Mr Gleason said, he clearly didn't know just how underhanded the world of realty was.

"Yes Sydney, she and I work together, Did you sign anything with her?" Cole asked.

"Yup signed a good contract for us. Say she didn't mention you though!" Mr Gleason said getting a little suspicious.

"I am sure you did, no she wouldn't mention me. Listen we at Hillcrest are one big family, Most agents team up and pool resources, some agents like to go it alone. But not to paint Sydney in a bad light but she is just one of those who like to go it alone. Listen I am sure she'll get you the 3 million you deserve." Cole knew this was balls higher then what any agent could get for this place, and he knew from the look on Mr. Gleason's face that it was higher then he thought he could ever get. It would also put her on the spot to get that for him. This he hoped would slow her down a little!

He called Pete to see what he found out. "Nothing man. She keeps her shit locked up! And I am getting really strange looks around here."

"No problem, just get me everything you know about 2585 Church and meet me at my place in an hour. Sushi is on me. Nikki will be there. I might even get her drunk for you!" Cole said. Nikki was a total exhibitionist when she was drunk and all his friends loved being at his place when this happened.

"Deal!" Pete said and then hung up.

KC

Sydney stayed up late working on the deal. As she munched her salad, she made notes on what she had planned. Tomorrow morning's trip to the county clerk's office should give her the information that she needed.

She set her alarm clock for an hour earlier and headed for bed.

Next morning, she got up, showered and dressed. She decided that she was going to win this fight. Power dressing!! She grabbed her straight black skirt and red blouse. Out of the closet came her black boots. Under her breath she kept humming that old song from the 60's, or was it the 70's?

"These boots are made for walking
That's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots, Cole,
Will walk all over you!"

She was in the county clerk's office when they opened. As she waited outside the office waiting for them to open, she called the office and told the receptionist that she was in meetings but would be in later today.

Two hours later, she had the copies she needed and was heading for the office. She rode up in the elevator, humming that little tune under her breath as she picked up her messages and headed for her desk.

That night Cole and Pete poured over everything he found on the property. It was in poor repair and though could be turned into a gem, the new owner would have to tear her to the ground and start fresh or dump a ton of cash into her.

"2 mil tops, even that would be a stretch. How much did you say you could get?" Pete asked. Cole gave a laugh.

"I didn't tell him I could get anything, I told him Sydney should get 3 million for it, planted the seed is all, this will put her on the spot and cast doubt on her ability. With luck he will call the office and put in a complaint against her. Who knows." Cole got up and grabbed his set of shit stacks.

"Next I want you to call all these shit zippers and tell them you work with a Ms Sydney Fancher. Get them excited about making more then these are worth. Use her desk line after the office clears out. This should bog her down with a million calls and will again make he look bad." Cole said handing Pete a stack of properties that were in the worst part the Bronx. Even his minions wouldn't touch these files.

"Cole bro don't you think you are taking this a little to far!" Pete asked tentatively. Cole shot him a look.

"This is war Pete, trust me if I don't do it! Mal will or she'll do it to us. Sink or swim my friend. Then he turned to Nikki. Hun isn't this the song you and your class mates are always grinding too?" He asked, Nikki who just like Cole said she would be was smashed. She stood up and cheered.

"Fuck ya baby." She grabbed for Cole but he shook his head and said he was tired. Then offered Pete to dance with her. Pete doing the awkward white dance, while Nikki ground her perfectly curved ass on his junk. Cole just watched and smiled. This would get Pete thinking straight.

The next day Cole poured over the files looking for anything to sink his teeth into. There were a couple that would help but not to much really. He looked over at Sydney. "Morning Fancher! How was your night?" He was hoping to see her stressed but it didn't look like it, his stunt may have misfired.

KC

Sydney walked past Cole's desk on her way to hers.

"Morning Fancher! How was your night?"

She walked with a definite kick in her step.

"Why, good morning, Cole. My night was just fine. And yours?"

She continued on to her desk, humming her little song. Once she reached her desk, she sat down her briefcase and purse, turned back to Cole, winked at him and made pistols at Cole. Then she pretended to blow the smoke off the barrels before picking up her phone. She made a call, looked at her watch as she talked. At first, what she said could not be heard, but then a lull in the office noise made her next words heard.

"Yes, I believe that I have a deal that will satisfy all parties involved." Pause. "I can be there in 30 minutes."

Hanging up, she unlocked her desk, got some papers and put them in her briefcase. Locking her desk back up, she grabbed her purse, briefcase and started for the elevators.

As she passed Cole's desk, she was singing softly,

"One of these days these boots, Cole,
Will walk all over you."

This was not the state he was hoping for. Cole didn't show it but he was beginning to stress a little and it had only been one fucking day. She played coy and did her thing then she walked past him singing.

"One of these days these boots, Cole,
Will walk all over you."

Cole smiled. "I hope so Syd!" When she left he swore loudly. He picked up the phone and called a few potential clients, he had moderate success with setting up meetings. He spent the rest of the day trying to think up a plan to make Sydney crash and burn.

When the office was all but empty he set Pete to task while he and a couple of the other 'Boys' kept watch. It didn't take long most people hung up while a few didn't answer, but he got a few very excited about the possibility over a sale amount much higher then projected value. This was known as a suicide pact, when you implied a sale amount that was higher then the projected cost. Some times it worked most times you were left with your dick in one hand and walking papers in the other. Though Cole knew Sydney would clear up the "Misunderstanding" it would still waste her time and could make her look bad to the boss. Which was why he was doing it. She would know it was him but whining to William was another well known Suicide move.

Within 30 minutes, she was back on Church Street, meeting with the owners of 2587. After a meeting with them, she reached an agreement with them as well and it took 2 hours for that.

Leaving there, she headed for her last meeting today. This one went well, and she left with a briefcase full of signed documents. She called 2587 to set up an appointment for tomorrow at 9:30 am.

Next, she called 2585. She talked to Mr. Gleason to set up the appointment for tomorrow at 11:30.

"Sure. Sure." Mr. Gleason agreed. "Oh, I talked to that nice young man that you work with."

Sydney held her breath. "What young man?" She felt a chill crawl up her spine.

"That young man you work with. Mr. Cole, I think he said his name was." Sydney was seething though she kept her voice even and light. "And just what did he have to say, Mr Gleason?"

"Oh, he was a bit put out about missing his appointment with the people next door. And he said my building should bring 3 million." Sydney was mad enough to spit nails.

"I see," she said. She changed the subject. "Well, I'll see you tomorrow at 11:30."

She hung up and counted to 10 before she dialed again.

"Cole, please meet me downstairs in the deli in 20 minutes. Please." She kept her voice light and sweet. But she was going to let him have both barrels.

Cole listened to the message and smiled. "So it begins!" He said to himself. He grabbed his coat and told the main receptionist that he would be out of the office but had his phone.

He got to the deli and ordered a coffee and took a seat near the washrooms as it was the only one free. He called Nikki and had her talk dirty to him. His ego loved to have her do as he asked. Then he called a few more clients all the while keeping his eye on the door.

When she walked in he raised a hand to signal where he was.

KC

Sydney waited until she saw Cole enter the deli and take a seat. She gave him exactly 6 minutes before unbuttoning just enough buttons on her blouse so that her bra peeked through the opening, along with plenty of cleavage.

Everything was planned. She walked through the door and stopped, looking around the deli as if trying to see if he had arrived yet, and where he might be sitting. Once she knew that he had seen her, she slowly and sensually walked across to his table, her high heeled boots making a slow clicking sound on the tile.

She slid into the chair next to Cole's and gave him a smile. Placing her briefcase and purse on the table, she made a big deal of looking to the side to see if there was something wrong with her boot heel. As she bent over to the side, she gave him a good peek down the front of her shirt. She knew he would look.

"Cole, Cole, Cole. You have been a busy little bee, haven't you? " A little smile played around her lips.

She leaned into him and motioned for him to come closer. The closer he got, the better look he had down her blouse. She waited until her lips were just inches from his ear.

She slid her hand under the table. What she did next was hidden from the rest of the deli by the table and the way she sat. She placed her hand in his lap, fingers searching and finding his cock. In honeyed toned, and never showing one trace of malice, she whispered, "Don't fuck with me, Cole, or I'll cut your dick off and cram it down your throat."

She smiled, withdrew her hand and sat up straight. "I know what you did."

Cole saw her and his mouth fell agape. His eyes danced over her. this was the same woman he saw but an hour ago yet she looked transformed. Her boots were making him hard, her cleavage was making him hard, everything about her was making him hard. She sat down and fussed with her boot, Cole taking the opportunity to look down her top, What a rack. He was casual about it, years of looking where he shouldn't taught him to be subtle. Little did he know. Then she placed her hand on his lap. This was something new he thought.

"Don't fuck with me, Cole, or I'll cut your dick off and cram it down your throat."
she whispered. His smile faded for a second. Then he knew.

"I know what you did."

He was shocked. It took him a second to recover. Anger rising with in him. He may be an arrogant lazy narcissist but she was play ball in a court she knew nothing about. He leaned back and smiled. "And here I thought you saw sense and were going to ask me to the ball! Baby I've been to this rodeo before you literally and figratively do not have the balls to take me on! I will admit you work harder then the rest of us, but you are no better then us! You want a piece you come and get it!" He said, keeping his anger down was proving difficult.

He stood up and walked past her. "Excuse me but I have work to do! By the way nice bra!"

He couldn't believe he was spiraling like this, it was time to bury her!

KC

Sydney saw the brief second of fear and surprise flash across his face. He had pegged her as a stupid woman. That would be his downfall.

She gathered her briefcase and purse and headed back outside and up to the office. It was getting near the end of the work day and she still had a lot to do to put the proposal together.

The phone calls started. A gentleman working with Miss Fancher had called about their property and how she wanted to handle it.

She let each caller tell their story while she looked up the property. Each phone call had the stink of Cole on it.

Each caller got the same story, though each telling of it had its own twist.

"Oh. Mr. (Blank), I certainly do remember your property. It was decided that they wished to fast track your site. Therefore, it has been reassigned to our best agent, Mr. Cole Bryant. It is believed that he can get you top dollar for your property. I know that he has been reviewing your file and is looking forward to giving you his full attention. Let me give you his number."

Each of these weird phone calls that she received got some variation on this script.

As the office cleared out, she had handled a number of such calls. At one point, while talking to one of these hopeless cases she saw Pete go by headed back to his desk before leaving. She knew that shit - he was Cole's lapdog. The man didn't fart unless Cole told him he could.

She added at the end of her dialogue. "I do believe that Mr. Bryant's assistant is expecting your call. His name is Pete and he and Mr. Bryant are prepared to give your property the full attention that I am not as experienced to give you." Pause. "Yes sir, one of the top agents in our office. Let me transfer you."

She watched the phone ring on Pete's desk and the young man pick it up. From across the room she watched as Pete listened, the look on his face was priceless. It was even better when he suddenly looked over at her with a shocked look on his face. She blew Pete kiss before picking up her briefcase and purse. She headed for the elevators, leaving the flustered young man talking to the client of a shitty piece of property.

She decided that she deserved a great meal. A quick call as she waited for the elevators and she had a table at Restaurant 123. She was ready for a good meal.

Cole decided that he would have to hit her where it really hurt! "Malcolm. I was talking to a good friend of Nikki's and she was telling me that Church st has a little three story walk up for sale. Rumor is Sydney got her hands on it. I thought the grapevine was saying that was your sale." Cole said to Malcolm on the phone. The effect was the one he wanted.

"That bitch! How... What... I was sure..." He stammered.

"Well I don't know but it looks like she will stoop to any level to get that job. A job if you don't mind me saying belongs to someone who fits in around here."
Cole said smiling. Mal was such a puppet. Easy pray. After he swore and spit out a few more incoherant words. Cole knew he was probably doing lines with one of his worthless friends or his useless wife. "Look man, here is what it is, she's stepped over the line. Now I know the old man hates whiners but if you talk to a few of the junior men about her lack of moral code or any ethics at all. Maybe they'll get her to fly right." Cole said. He knew this wouldn't work but with luck she would have her pee pee slapped and Malcolm would be vilified as a rat.

Soon though his phone started to ring. Names he knew and he knew this was not good. This is where having an assistant was a good thing. To bad he preferred to save the money. "Fuck." He had to smile at her balls and creativity. Actually he was starting to like her.

"Cole Bryant!... Yes Mr. Ketchum. Why yes Sydney does work for me. I know there was a little confusion. No no I am sure your property will fetch what it's worth... I will put all my effort into it. You will of course understand that people are not buying just now! Give it a few weeks sir and I promise you will see results better then anything you could get now! Yes sir four or five weeks. Thank you and my self or one of my team will be in touch." He hung up and sighed. The phone rang again. Shaking his head, he answered and repeated. Enduring several pissed off clients he managed to keep most happy with his bullshit. Others hung up on him. Pete he saw was having no better a time. Pete gave him a pathetic look. He knew to keep Pete on board he would have to make it up to him. He knew several hookers that were cheap enough yet classy enough to be worth it for Pete.

He picked up his phone and texted Sydney. "I think you and I need to lay down some rules before one of us goes to far! Drinks at the Plaza 7pm?" It was a risk but he now knew she was willing to hit below the belt and hit hard.

Sydney was doing some last minute shopping. Her appointment for Restaurant 123 was for 8:00 so she had some time to spare. While trying on a dress in the dressing room, she got the text from Cole and raised an eyebrow.

"I think you and I need to lay down some rules before one of us goes to far! Drinks at the Plaza 7pm?"

Really? Someone must be feeling the heat. She texted him back.

"I think that I can squeeze you in. I will see you then."

She decided to get the outfit and wear it from the store. By the time she had paid for it, it was time to head for the Plaza. It would be interesting to hear what Cole's rules would be.

7:01 she entered the Plaza, wondering what was up with this. She trusted him about as far as she could throw him.

Cole had thought a lot about how he would handle this whole Sydney problem. Monica the woman he had paid to give Pete a wild night was probably now doing her thing for him. Pete had been pissed at all the calls he had over worthless accounts. Cole reasured him that all would be ok then he called in a few favors from some of the other minions to take some of the work off Pete's plate, he also mounted them with all the shit he had inadvertently piled on to him self.

He was in the pretentious lounge sitting at a high table, sipping an aged scotch on the rocks. When she walked in again his jaw dropped, who was this woman. Again he motioned to her. When she sat he thanked her sincerely for meeting with him. "What are you drinking? I'm paying. I closed a ton of shitty files today, everyone seemed to think today was a good day to get in touch with me." He smiled at her. "Look I know I started this all, but we should probably make sure neither of us cause any real harm. I want that position, so do you! I get it, now as bad as I want it I don't want to see you or I with out a fucking job when the dust settles. Agreed?"

Cole found it hard actually hard to concentrate on what he needed to say with her wearing that dress and those boots. He smiled then changed tact a little. "You know I don't know anything about you! I know your name and that you are not afraid to get a little dirty at times. I must say I like that about you!" Cole was now thinking more with the little guy then the big guy. He smiled at her, the smile that had won over the office and Nikki and every other woman he knew.

"You're buying? I'll have a Lavender Collins please " She looked at him. It was too bad that Cole was such a jerk. She had to remember that he had already had someone. She couldn't remember the woman's name but they probably deserved each other.

"Busy afternoon? I'm sorry. I just gave back to you what you tried to give to me." She could feel his eyes all over her, and she got a kick out of it. 'Stop it!' She told herself.

"Cole, you're smart. If you would just knuckle down and actually work instead of fucking around, you would probably win this hand down. But instead you want to do dirty deals."

She sipped on her drink.

"No, I don't want you to lose your job. But I'm not going to sit by and watch you screw up this position, and screw me out of a job that I deserve."

Another sip. "So, what do you want to know about me? I'll decide if I want to answer you."

She was direct with him, this he both liked and hated. Having made a career of small talk and misdirection and innuendo it was refreshing to not have that, but it was also a game he was good at. She took that weapon off the table and it left him exposed that he hated.

He watched her enjoy her drink he was not cultured enough to know what it was but he was sure it was wickedly over priced.

"What do you want to know about me?" She said.

"What don't I want to know about you! Are you seeing anyone? You don't wear a ring and never bring a date to the big dinners or at least not the same guy twice as far as I can remember. What does someone like you do for a good time? Would you like to have dinner with me this Friday? Sparks steak house my treat!" He asked smiling. He was finding her irresistable. Nikki was hot but she was really a bimbo, there for the eye candy and it made him look more stable to the upper management in the company. Sydney was just as good looking but also sophisticated and was able to talk about things other then the clubs or what the best weed to party with was and he found her area of study which was Hotel management to be about as interesting as watching the earth shift.

"I have lots of interests and enjoy doing lots of things. I have a very active life outside of work. And no, I am not seeing any one guy right now."

She laughed.

"Cole, you have someone, though I can't remember her name. I recall you bringing her several times to different office events. So why would you need me to go out with you Friday?" She looked at him, sitting there smiling at her. "Tell me, does that smile get you in every woman's pants? Hmmmm?" She leaned into him resting her hand on his thigh only about a hand span below where his cock was hidden in his pants. She could feel the heat from his leg through the material.

She gave the short a sweet answer, non committal and safe. He smiled at that, he did like that she used the line "Any one guy!" this let his mind think she was a player, and he liked players. She brought up the fact that he was in fact taken. She couldn't remember her name but did remember seeing her at functions.

"I wouldn't need anyone with me! I'm asking you because I want to go on a date with you! Nikki is great but she is more a room mate I fuck a lot then a girlfriend. She also serves a purpose with the company. She is hot enough to get eye fucked by the big wigs and friendly enough to fit in with the bullpen. And we have an... understanding! I guess you could say." Cole said his confidence steady. He needed her to see that if she were to refuse him he would be bothered by it at all. That he could get a date in the wink of an eye. Sydney must have caught on because he called him on it.

"Tell me, does that smile get you in every woman's pants? Hmmmm?" she asked her hand on his thigh. His excitement was starting to show in his erection.

"Well let's just say it rarely fails me!" He said in a cocky tone. "Can you honestly tell me that getting to know the me outside of the office doesn't interest you at all? Cause I'm dying to know you!" Cole said and swallowed the last of his scotch and put a hand up signalling for another. "You want another drink? Are you busy tonight any big plans with some hedge fund manager?" He asked staring at her cleavage a little harder now. He had pretty much forgot why he called her there in the first place, now he was just thinking of getting into that dress. This was always the way with him, though never meeting with any catastrophic disasters yet he had let his pecker get him into a fair bit of trouble.
