I have a children's book (geared mostly towards girls in the age bracket of 9-12) that I have partially finished. It's for a contest, but I can't decide if it's good enough to even bother completing in order to get it sent off before the deadline.

Would someone mind giving what I have a read and letting me know (honestly) if they think it's worth pursuing? I will gladly do a read over, edit (of a short story), or RCV a couple stories in return. Thanks in advance!

How long is it?
I've got a 10 yr. old girl at home. I'd be happy to give it a look and have her preview it as well, if you're interested.

The part I have finished is a little over 2,000 words. It's not been edited or anything yet. I just need to know if what I've got is good enough to continue.

Do you have my email?

Sorry about the delay. Had a bit of a puppy emergency and had to run her in to the clinic.
Will send in PM.

Not a problem. I'm just glad someone responded. (well, 2 someones, lol, got a pm response too) :) PM received and email on its way. Thanks again. :)

I'm glad I responded! :)

It's a fun story, and I know a whole slew of little girls in that age bracket that would enjoy reading it. I do hope you continue.

A return email is on its way as well.
