Okay, peeps. I've got a big favor to ask. A VERY nice person (who writes for this site and hangs in the AH) needs your help. SweetSubSarah's husband is going through open heart surgery this very moment, so follow this link and light a candle for him, K? Thanks.

She is a lovely person. I remember reading a wonderful poem she wrote here (about a visit to India) years ago.

Candle is lit and best wishes to her and her hubby. :rose:

I know OHS must be very difficult from the family's side of the sheet. The patient gets to sleep through it and their recovery is remarkably fast. Thanks for directing my positive energy Suzie. I offer mine 100 fold ... to the surgeon, to the OR team, to sss and family and then, perhaps most importantly, to the patient that their road down the mountain he's climbed doesn't have any more Mack trucks to hit him head on ...

:rose: and  <<< my sign :)

Any news on this?
There's a thread over in the AH that sss is posting updates on. Heart catheter? So far, there's been a couple of scary (but very brief) setbacks to Mr sss's recovery, but from what I've read, he's doing amazingly well. This is a very dangerous event that he's been fortunate to survive. John Ritter and some other famous folks have been killed by dissecting aortic aneurysms but this family followed the recommendations of the American Heart Society by getting to ER as soon as he felt his symptoms.

Please, everyone, when you're experiencing even doubtful signs and symptoms of heart disease go to the emergency department of the nearest health facility you can. You may just save your life.

Thanks Champ and for the advice I'm glad somebody looked after you :rose:
Me too! I have a fine family and a fantastic cardiologist and surgeon. Makes a world of difference. It helps to have friends, as well; online or close enough to touch, it helps a lot.
