Chrissie stared at the pregnancy test and could feel the tears welling up in her eyes. Her and her husband Rob had been trying for the last year to get pregnant. From keeping up with her ovulation to using fertility lubricant to hell, just reading every little piece of article on the internet to see what the best way to get pregnant was.
That was actually how she found out about fertility lubricant…google.
Quietly, she stepped out of the bathroom. Rob looked up at her. “Well? Do we have good news to tell your parents at dinner tonight?”
Chrissie shook her head showing him the pregnancy test.
“Damn.” He muttered.
“Do you think somethings wrong with me? I mean…” she shook her head, just completely confused by the whole thing. They’d done literally everything by the book.
“What? No! It just hasn’t happened yet.” Rob wrapped his arms around her and kissed her neck. “let’s go meet your parents at the restaurant, hm?”
“At this point we might as well get a sperm donor…” she sighed and tilted her head to look at him. “Ugh, maybe we can reschedule? I was fine when I thought we had news about a possible baby on the way but with no baby news that’s just one more thing for my dad to pick on you about.”
Chrissie didn’t exactly have the best relationship with her dad. He’d never exactly been father of the year nor had he been the best example of the type of guy she should marry. She was pretty sure at one point he’d cheated on her mom or maybe her mom had been the one he’d cheated with, she didn’t know.
She didn’t exactly care to know either. She just knew of all the half siblings she had, she was the youngest and the only child out of her mom. At 30 years old, beautiful buxom blonde Chrissie Taylor (her married name) had made sure to marry up and not down or equal to her dad.
Rob wasn’t rich but he wasn’t poor either. He was a business man, an accountant for a small company in the city or at least that what was what he’d just been promoted to.
“No, no I think I’ll win him over tonight. I got a promotion so that’s some good news. Go get ready.” He smacked her ass and winked.
An hour later…
Chrissie came out wearing a pink skirt with a white top with a matching jacket. Her blonde hair cascaded down her shoulders and she followed Rob to the car so they could meet her parents at the restaurant.
She was definitely not ready to have dinner with her parents.
This was their traditional thing they did though dinner once a month, usually it was a home cooked meal but tonight it was have dinner at the restaurant and then they’d probably go back to her parents house for drinks where her husband and dad would get into the whose dick is bigger game …metaphorically speaking.
