Marc had just woken up. It was a sunday morning. light was streaming in to the room, some time during the evening he had kicked off the covers. pushed his lean dark body up and stared out the window, thinking of what the day wil bring. His ears pick up as he hears a nosie from just outside his bedroom.

"Damn cat" Trish muttered as she burrowed deeper into the bushes outside her neighbor's house. "Come on, Lucifer," she coaxed. "Just leave that yucky mouse. I've got kibbles at home........Ouch!!!" She pulled back, looking at the crimson streak that ran the length of her arm. Wouldn't you just know Lucifer would find a bush with thorns to hide in.

Marc heard a commotiona nd a yelp of pain from outside his first floor bedroom window. He picked up rather heavy copy of websters english dictionary and pulled on his robe, peering out the window he sees a woman rummbling around his bushes, her arm bleeding. He opens the window cautiously. She could be crazy or in trouble, "Are you ok Miss?"

Trish looked up and saw a man in a robe looking out the window. He was holding a large, heavy book. Either he had been studying, or she had disturbed his sleep. She blushed. "Sorry. I live next door. My cat just ran into your bushes with a dead mouse." She shrugged, "they always make him sick later."
