Since I do not know what your question is, it is hard to come up with an answer.

Like most virginities, it goes away with time and use.
I think it is something like 50 posts, before you are considered to be forumally deflowered, and your rank will automagically change.

Likewise, it takes 100 posts before you can set up an avatar (the little picture under your name).

When you went to the "How To" forum, and pushed "New thread"..... You made the first posting in a new thread.

When someone (me ) read that post and pushed "reply", I replied to your post, and the fantastic forum software linked our posts together, like pearls on a thread.

Another guess:

You want to post pictures (beware of the forum guidelines!).

Push the "postcard" icon, and paste the URL to the photo into the little pop-up window.

You will see this in the window where you write:

[IMG.]http://rebecomingarunner.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/unhappy-wet-cat.jpg[/IMG.]

And it will show up as this:

You can also attach and upload the file you want to share.

Go to "manage attachment" a little longer down the page.

But it will not show, only as a link:

A good headline will give you better answers.

Rather than "a dumb blonde" a headline along the lines of "what is the difference between posts and threads?" Would make it easier for others to see what you wanted.

I was struggling earlier with the same question. I just closed it up and backed away for a bit. Especially bad since I'm a brunette--just makes me look sort of jelly to post blonde jokes.
