Now, I'm not wanting to get into a "mine's bigger than yours"-type discussion, but I like my toys... and I figger some of you have some you're fond of, too. I haven't *noticed* a thread here focusing on the tools of our avocation, so I thought I'd start one and see if there was any interest.

I apologize for the quality of these pictures - that's what happens when you take a picture with a hand-held webcam... if my former partner hadn't *twice* dropped our good 3.2mp camera on hard floors, I could take better pix. :-(

First pic: a lovely elkhide flogger - approximately 28 inches from tip of grip to tip of falls, weight almost two pounds. Lovely in black and blue, it delivers a hefty thud. (Gee, should I get a job announcing for fashion shows?) (Isn't black and blue a great color scheme for BDSM toys? lol)

Next up on the runway (continuing that ridiculous analogy) is a pair of matched floggers, again in our signature color scheme of black and blue. These are designated "Floggers Light," both because they weigh in at less than a pound each, and because the acrylic handles each have a flashing light inside. Very nice for work in dark places

I'm getting too lazy to type in the whole name of the thread.

This pic has two contrasting toys: a heavy paddle with heart-shaped cutouts, which can leave a pretty pattern on the cheeks of one's favorite submissive; and the Viper, a quirt/tawse type. The Viper can: with a *very* light flick of the wrist, sting mildly; with a slightly quicker flick, sting harder and leave a pair of matching red streaks; a little more vigorous wrist action will leave light welts (20-30 minute duration); a "slapping" motion of the wrist will leave 3-4 (sometimes more) hour welts; a full swing would undoubtedly draw blood. I have *never* given the Viper a full swing on a person - however, I did on a pillow... and tore the pillow case. It's a vicious little bugger - and aptly named.

Up next, some of my favorite toys - paddles and kitchen implements... and a fiberglass police nightstick. Starting from the top, the nightstick is a nice, thuddy impact that can merely shake a submissive, or leave deep bruises. The black paddle on the upper right is leather on one side - somewhat sting-y - and fur on the other - thuddy. The pingpong paddle is *fun* - the rubber tends to pull a little during the stroke. Previous submissives have reported that it's a different sensation than any other paddle. The matched paddles on the left are good for alternating strokes on each cheek You don't have to swing your arm from one side to the other; just alternate arms. More than doubles the amount of strokes before you begin to tire

Up next, a varied collection of paddling devices. The brush (upper right) can be used to smack (flat side), or to torment - those little rubber "bristles" create some interesting sensations drawn across a recently-spanked bottom, or even up/down the length of the labia...
The milled aluminum paddle just below the brush I love to stick in an a/c vent while paddling, flogging, etc., then rub across the bottom. At 40-50 degrees (F), it imparts a shocking cold.
The wooden spoons are fun, too. One side smacks - kind of sting-y - and the other, cupped, side provides a curious light "thud" due to air being trapped between it and the receiving flesh.

Last Toy Pic for Now...

Another set of floggers. The top (matched) pair were created especially for my last submissive. They are made from 5/8" aluminum chain, doubled over from 10" lengths and attached to a 3" keyring, which in turn is attached to the flogger handle. Very, very thuddy, and cool (in temperature). Almost impossible to Florentine for more than a minute or two, and care is necessary - a missed swing could cause the heavy chain to hit the tailbone. Mostly, these are swung either underhand or sort of side to side, though I have done Florentine with them for demos, for *short* periods. The other flogger is a very light nylon/cotton string. It has been reported that this one feels like being flogged with a silk scarf!

Good lord! Too scary??? Looks just about right to me. Of course, if that gag were reversed, some (but not all *g*) of my previous submissives might consider it very scary, since they were never able to learn to relax their throat muscles. *sigh*

That elk flogger looks like so much and I am so jealous. I don't have any toys of my own to take pics of but I might try to find pics of a Buffalo hide flogger that I tried awhile back, now that gave a thud.
