seraphina was 6 when her mother died leaving her and her father alone. Her father was a inventor and at one point was a very wealthy man but then things had come to an economic collapse and they were broke. 'they lived in a small village in the country of France. quite a few years ago the young lord who governed the land had just went missing. No one had seen him in years and soon he was forgotten but everyone still paid the taxes and sent money to his castle.

One day her father was going to go to the castle and talk with the butler there and explain his situation and also had to make some errands into town." my darling girl is there anything i can get for you while i am in town." seraphina looked at her father and smiled." a single red rose" Her father chuckled and waved goodbye.

A few hours later he came home depressed he had ten days to come up with the taxes he owed on there land or they would be evicted. he decided to keep it himself and figure out something.

About ten days later a guard and the head of the castle came to the door and seraphina's father was in town doing something." hello can i help you." The head of the castle told her everything and that there time was up. seraphina thought for a moment." take me as payment i will clean the castle and help in the kitchens i will become a maid and pay off my fathers debt please let me do this."

The guards just laughed but agreed and told her to hurry up and pack. seraphina wrote her father a letter telling her choice and not to worry she would be home when the debt was paid off.

It was a long horse ride to the castle and she gasped at the sheer size of it. she got off the horse and looked around and was brought in side. she was led up a stair way and brought to the servants quarters and she got her own room." you will start work in the morning and you are not to wander the castle at night" She nodded and went about unpacking her things. she looked out the window and saw this beautiful rose garden.

Lord Phillippe Laurant, had been a brash and arrogant boy. When his mother and father died of the plague at the tender age of 13. With no one to tell him what a ruler should know, he was unsurprisingly selfish, and self centered. By the time he was 19, he was ambitious, ready to find a queen. He was about to leave on a journey to visit a noble family in Spain and if all went well, he would find his bride to rule his lands.

He lived in a huge castle, at the top of a small mountain, surrounded by beautiful gardens dutifully attended to by his staff. He ruled the castle with little charity or understanding of the needs of his people. In his mind, they were all pawns intended to work for his benefit. His pride was beyond compare, and it was the week before he was supposed to leave for Spain, when the peasant woman showed up at his home with a most unique offer.

She had a beautiful daughter, Annette, who was her pride and joy. Her offer simple, that if the Prince found her daughter to be the love she knew he would, that she would be his wife, and the mother and the people of the village below would be taken care of by the appreciative Prince. When the Phillippe saw the beautifu maiden, he disingenuously accepted the offer and sent the woman on her way. That night, he deflowered the maiden as he assumed was his birthright, and when the old woman arrived in the morning, she heard the prince bragging to a stable boy of how he had repeatedly enjoyed the young maiden and the foolish woman who believed he would ever consider marrying so far beneath his station.

The old woman was no ordinary peasant, fluent in the dark arts she cast a spell on not only the prince, but all those in the castle who had unwittingly let him so callously take advantage of her daughter. She turned the Lord into a creature befitting the tortured soul that would have so treated her sweet Annette. He could leave the castle and feel the shunning of all those he encountered to his hideous form. However, the house staff would remain young and in present form only as long as they stayed on the grounds, should they leave they would become as old and withered as the old peasant woman. The men of his army were not affected and roamed the lands collecting taxes to support the Lord's needs.

The curse would last 10 years, in which time, should the Lord not learn and be able to earn the love of a maiden despite his beastly features, the castle would crumble and they would all wander the lands as disfigured peasants and the beast would keep his form until his death. Crueler yet, she gave him a mirror to look at how the rest of the world enjoyed their lives and how he repulsed all he encountered.

The beast became a recluse, long since having given up any chance of breaking the curse, much to the disappointment of the imprisoned staff. Therefore it was an unusually welcoming set of fellow house staff that Seraphina encountered as she entered the servants quarters. For none of them could break the curse...however this woman, not knowing of their plight, offered new and potentially the last...hope.

Seraphina was little happy with all the warm welcomes and put her things away and pulled her long blonde hair into a braid and looked into the mirror and saw her ice blue eyes look back at her. many men had turned her hand down for marriage because of her pale skin and yellow
she sighed and put on her cleaning clothes and had a maid names Yvette show her around." now we are going to the masters room. don't worry he is never in there during the day. normal he is in his study and the only one allowed to disturb him is Frances he is the head butler here. you already met him. don't worry he can be nice as well as long as you do as he says."

Seraphina nodded and took all this information and watched Yvette and how she did things. for the most part of her day here she just had people show her how things were done and how she had to do them a certain way or the master would be in a fit. Seraphina notice not many people mentioned the mast very often and avoided most conversation when she asked about him. So she just kept her mouth shut and mined her own business in the castle.

It was nearing dinner time when she had finally gotten to eat for the day. Seraphina took her dinner plate and took her food out to the rose garden and ate out there on the clear sky night. she smiled and saw a fountain in the center with benches and instantly fell in love with the spot.

Phillippe was in a rage, he checked the calendar and knew the date exact. He had 6 months left in his castle. The old hague had told him that at the 10 year anniversary, the castle would be reduced to ruins and he would be forced into the wild. He had been there once before, just after the curse. He had run away and had to live like a savage creature, killing to eat and fighting off other formidable creatures like lions and bears who were threatened by his very presence. He had learned much over this period, he realized how foolish he had been to treat that maiden so heartlessly.

In the beastly presence he found himself he longed for any display of kindness or warmth, and in finding none, became sullen and angry, usually taking it out on his poor staff, always feeling guilty later, but never able to control his immediate rage. He knew his days were numbered, he could feel the sand quickly slipping through the hour glass. He had spent the day in his study, despite the fact that he could not even ready, but it was quiet, and he could dwell in his sadness and the regrets that had put him on this path.

The room was musty though and he needed a break, he had so little time left, he had to figure out some way to enjoy his final days. The garden, that was it, the flowers were beautiful, even he appreciated that, and this time of year the roses, the beautiful roses were in bloom. There was never anyone out there, and so he would not have to once again look at the horror and hatred in their eyes.

Up he got and ambled down the stairway, he was shocking light of foot, strong and had the athletiecism of a lion or tiger, the strength of one too. He walked out, and as he knew, the flowers were in full bloom. Ahhh, he took a deep breath and then...(sniff, sniff) what is that...that shouldn't be...I don't recognize that perfume like...he rounded the corner, and their on the bench eating...was a girl...a beautiful white haired girl...a new girl ot again look at him in horror.

"Who are you?" he bellowed, much louder than he intended or needed to...it was just the shock. "Who said you could be out here...how did you get here at all...I do not recognize you?"

Seraphina suddenly heard this loud roar and she instantly dropped her plate from her lap shattering it in to tiny pieces. It took her a moment to take in the beast in front of her and realized he was not as scary as people had said." i am here to pay off my fathers debt and no one said i was not allowed here. the servants and your butler said i could go anywhere but your quarters and be out at night. i am sorry of i anger you i will leave you be."

Seraphina knelt down and picked up all the pieces to her plate and stood up." your garden is beautiful. so far its my favorite spot in the castle but it seems i have upset you and i will keep my distance since this place is so sacred to you. good evening my lord ."

Seraphina bowed quickly and walked back into the kitchens and threw the broken dish away and helped clean the rest of the castle and then retired to her room where she took her book and began to read.

She was flustered and he immediately regretted being so fierce, why was he always that way. She was here of her own free will, a daughter willing to do this for her father? Who was she. She didn't see it, but the anger in his eyes just seconds ago was replaced by a type of admiration.

"You broke your plate", it sounded accusatory, but he meant it sadly, as if she needed to get another one and refill her food. How could it be that a man who had once been so dashing and confidant was now the bumbling, creature who was so slow that she was gone before he knew what happened.

He went into the kitchen, but all of the servants were away tending to other duties, but then he saw him, "Frances" he yelled. He really only had a relationship with Frances, not a great one, but a relationship nonetheless. Frances had been the stable boy that Phillippe had been bragging to, and Frances new the details of the curse to the fine point.

"Frances...we have a new girl...who volunteered?" The still rakishly handsome butler nodded, "yes sir....she is a beauty isn't she". Phillippe remembered what he had thought when he first saw her...he had never seen a more beautiful woman. "She is...but I think I scared her, and I would like to apologize...please arrange for her to join me at breakfast at the table in the rose garden?" Francis smiled, but could hardly believe his ears. The master wanted to apologize, this he had to see, he had not heard the Lord apologize, except the one time to the old woman as he had been pleading for his return...that was summarily rejected. And eating with the help....but she was a beauty...and for the first time since that fateful day, Frances felt a ray of hope.

Seraphina Was finished with all her chores when frances came by.” The master would like for you to join him for breakfast in the rose garden.” Seraphina Thought on this And was about to refuse when she nodded and went into her chambers for the night.

Seraphina Got up early that morning and had put her long hair into a bun and put a blue gown on and for a moment she truly thought about not going. She didn’t come here to be some rich mans floozy. She had a debt to pay and the sooner it was paid the sooner she could have her life back.

Seraphina decide not to go to the breakfast and so she started her daily chores and had walked to the masters room cleaning his bed and changing the sheets. She had seen what a mess it was with wine glasses and books and papers all over the place. She had neatly cleaned the place up and made it look nicer.

All morning she was doing her chores and finally stopped for a late lunch which she had in her chambers.

Phillippe got up early and cleaned up to the best of his ability, a nice shirt, jacket and pants, covered his huge and imposing physique. She had no idea how much he missed the most basic element of human interaction and friendship, he had zero delusions that anyone could ever find him attractive, but he did hope they could appreciate his intelligence, how well read he was, and that he did have a keen wit and sense of humor no matter how well hidden he kept it.

For the first time in a long time, there was a bounce in his step as he headed out to the garden. He had been so excited that he had actually been early. Due to this he thought nothing that he was there before her, for this was just a casual chance to get to know each other, no more.

He had rehearsed his apology and had a list of things he was curious about learning about her background, and family, and why she had come here. He was even ready to forgive the debt and let her on her way, as a sign of good will. For perhaps the first real time in his life he was contemplating an action and sacrifice that was not in his own best interest.

So, he sat, a servant brought out a bowl of coffee, as his paws made drinking from a cup quite problematic. She then asked if he would like her to bring breakfast, at first he declined to be nice and wait for the young maiden, but as it became clear she would not be showing up, he declined out of depression, anger, and a sense of complete disrespect. "She wouldn't even do me the honor of a simple meeting...showing her boss a modicum of respect...I am truly hideous...and so a morning that had started with him feeling a sense of excitement he hadn't felt in years...ended with a sense of complete depression and rejection...he similarly hadn't felt in years.

As he slunked back to his chambers, he saw Frances. "She didn't even show me the respect to show up and decline my invitation in person...." He considered throwing her in the cells to pay for her insolence, but he just slinked off, shoulder depleted...and Frances realized...he not only has feelings...but is really hurt. He didn't know how to make the master feel better...but he knew somehow he must, for in this state...they were just playing out the string until all of their lives were destroyed forever.

Frances saw the young chamber maid soon after, "well my dear, I guess I got you wrong...I thought you were a person of kindness....or at least manners...perhaps I should reassign you to a role where showing at least some sense of respect to your employer is not a necessity...for the first time in years, he went out of his way to be nice to someone...he only wanted to apologize...and you deemed him not worthy of the most basic of human indulgences...courtesy"

Frances too walked away depressed and disappointed...'well there goes any hope of this girl being someone who might make a difference'

Seraphina sighed and knew Frances was right. she had been completely rude to the lord of the house and knew she had to find him quick and apologies. She went in search of the lord and checked everywhere and she could not find him so. she went back and sat in the garden knowing at some point he would come back here.

Seraphina sat on the bench and relaxed knowing it was going to be a long wait. she sighed again knowing she forgot her shawl and it was getting dark soon. but she did not want to miss seeing the lord and apologizing to him for rude behavior.

Seraphina had been out there for hours and it had just now started to snow and she was shivering but she was determined to stay out there and ask for his forgiveness for her rudeness.

He was in his room, a single candle lit the quarters...he had not had anything but a few glasses of water the entire day. He looked at the fading rose in the corner, scarce few petals remaining, the living embodiment of his bleak future. As the last petal fell the curse would be irreversible. He thought of the rose, and then he saw out his window the unseasonable snow begin to fall.

"The Roses!", they were in full bloom and perhaps the last bloom he would ever enjoy, "NOOOO", he screamed. There were few things that brought an element of joy to his life, but the beautiful peach, yellow, red and white roses did and he wanted just a bit more time. He wanted that for everything in the castle, his home, but most particularly his garden.

He grabbed a huge stack of burlap bags and rushed outside. It was hard to believe this was the same creature who had once only cared about himself, with no appreciation for anything. He didn't see her at first as he frantically slid and tied the bags over 30 bushes, and then he saw her and stopped. "You didn't join me...why?" He didn't wait for an answer, "never mind, I need your help, if we don't get all the roses covered quickly they will die...if you like these flowers like you said...please help me quick".

Over the next half hour, they covered over 100 rose bushes total, it was only then he realized she was freezing. He moved without thinking and came over to her, wrapping his arms around her, and tried to warm her in his strong arms and warm, soft fur. He held her for a second and then let her loose realizing what he was doing, "I'm sorry...let's go inside...I was just trying..." It wasn't worth finishing, she thought he was horrible, that was why she hadn't showed up that morning...it wasn't worth explaining, "thank you for helping with my flowers".

Seraphina jumped into action and helped the beast cover the roses and sighed at the question and was unsure of how to answer it. She could tell the beast thought it was his fault but it wasn’t.” I did not come today because there was no need for apologies you just wanted to know who the stranger was in your home plus I had so many duties that morning I was simply just to busy I am truly sorry if I had upset you or hurt your feelings truly I am.”

Seraphina was a bit shocked when she felt this mans arms wrap around her. There were butterflies in her stomach and her heart began racing and she just smiled and nodded.” I have been waiting out here for you almost all day and night. Just so I could apologize to you my lord.”

He had no idea what kind of detailed responsibilities each of the staff had, so he was surprised to hear that she had duties that had taken her away, and perhaps it was only because he so hoped it was true, but she did not seem completely repulsed by her. "You know, if I request your presence personally, that gives you the freedom to immediately push your other responsibilities to the back burner. "I assumed it was that looking at me made you so shudder that you didn't think you would be able to enjoy breakfast?"

He looked briefly into her eyes, trying to see any acknowledgment one way or the other, but only saw her looking down, obviously uncomfortable at looking at him directly. "You know...I am not just the beast you see before you...I am well read...in fact I have read every single book in my expansive library at least once. He tried to smile, he had two escapes, the gardens and his books and he had not told her about both. "Perhaps you might enjoy reading one of the novels I have there?"

He was trying to make small talk, but was jus horrible at it. He had spoken with so few individuals these last several years, he was simply out of practice in being conversant. "The invitation is still open, if you might like to join me in a meal sometime?"

He didn't wait long for an answer, not wanting to be rejected a second time today, so he turned and prepared to go back into the warm castle, perhaps build a fire...

Seraphina looked up and was now upset." you truly think i am repulsed by you. how could you ever think that i know i did not make a good first impression but i am the one who has been ugly i should have joined you. you don't scare me nor do i think your ugly. i find you quite handsome and gentle and kind."

Seraphina walked inside with Philippe and sat down near the fireplace and watched him start a fire." i am glad you are well read. most men in the village think i am strange because i have an education and most refuse my hand in marriage so i have accepted my role as a spinster."

Seraphina looked down after having said that and played with her fingers." i would very much like to read some of your books if you allow me i wont even take them out of the room. Books are such wonderful things. i love getting lost in a book."

He wasn't sure how she knew he had thought she would find him repulsive, he had only thought it, not said it, but he guessed his body language showed his insecurity. But he couldn't believe what she said next, "you don't scare me nor do i think your ugly. i find you quite handsome and gentle and kind."

As they walked inside, he knew he was moving into very unfamiliar territory, and all he wanted was to not screw it up...for the first time, perhaps ever...he might have found a friend. "A spinster...how is that possible?...you are beautiful". He turned and looked at her, the reflection of the fire in her eyes and making her face a soft orangish-gold hue, starkly contrasting her beautiful white hair. He tried to offer and olive branch, "well the world deems me hideous, and somehow the foolish men of the village don't appreciate the most beautiful woman I have ever seen....but perhaps we can be friends".

"Tomorrow I will take you to my library...and you can either take out a book to read or stay there..and read like I often do...I have thousands of books, I am sure you will find many you can enjoy". He smiled, although it was hard to tell and it showed his fierce teeth...and he quickly shut it again so as not to scare her. "I also have a wonderful wine collection...could I possibly convince you to join me in enjoying a special cabernet I have been saving?"

Seraphina smiled and blushed at his commentss.” Thank you I would love that and most men are foolish. Your really not scary sir. Just the few times we met you have been a gentlemen. Your home is gorgeous. You have so many blessings. Now you just have to find the right women and fill this home with children.”

Seraphina released her hair from her braid and let her hair fall past her hips. It’s getting late I should get your room ready so you can get to bed.” Seraphina got up and her skirt hitched up a bit revealing her legs. Seraphina blushed and pull her skirts back down.

As seraphina began to leave the room she bent over and kissed the beat on his cheek and whispered goodnight.

Seraphina walked to the lords room and brought down his sheets and built a fire in his room. She took around the lord room and loved how rich in red and gold it looked and she loved how comfy and big the bed looked but she sighed and went to her own room and lit the small fireplace and graves her favorite love story and began to read by candle light before bed. Just as she was about to fall asleep she braided her hair again and slipped into her night gown

He should have been flattered a bit by her comment, but it made him sad. "Thank you, I hope you like it here...I think once you see the library...you may like this castle even more." but it was the second comment that hurt a bit, even though that was not her intent, "I have long since given up the idea I will ever find a woman who could love me...let alone have children".

He let himself daydream at the thought of children, it was so odd she had mentioned that, he had thought often about being a father...and children roaming the castle...but he had filed those dreams away long ago. He was brought out of his daydream by her loosening the braid, and watching her hair cascade over her shoulders..."Your hair is very unique and beautiful...it is like white silk or silver...and it combines with your eyes in an almost hypnotizing manner. I do not understand how any man would not consider you the most beautiful he had ever seen". He saw the flash of her thin toned leg, and suddenly felt something stir deep inside. He looked away...but felt his heart pounding...and for the first time in years...his cock twitch. As she kissd his cheek, those feelings only magnified.

He was almost speechless, feeling things he had wondered if he ever would again. "Thank you....good night...and sweetest of dreams" he said in something only slightly louder than a whisper as she walked out. He sat there for a long while, just savoring the moment...and then when he walked into his room, he saw what good care she was taking of him. He wanted to do something nice...and he went into his library and pulled down his edition of Romeo and Juliet.

He was nervous, not wanting to scare her...so he knocked softly on her door...and when she opened the door...he saw how small her room was...and the single candle. Then he saw her in her nightgown, the outline of her beautiful body somewhat visible, and his arousal again began to build, and ne tried to push it down. "Seraphina, I wanted to give you something...but I didn't realize, and we will get you more candles in here tomorrow, I want you to be comfortable and enjoy it." He was getting harder and harder and tried to shift so she would not be able to tell...."I will let you be, but I wanted to give you this copy of Romeo and Juliet, I think you will love it like I do". He was a bit embarrassed, and quickly handed her the book and then turned to walk back to his bedroom...

Seraphina was surprised to hear a knock at her door at this hour. Just having left the lord she got up and opened the door.” Oh sir thank you so much I will most enjoy this. It’s one of my favorites.”

The one thing about seraphina is she could ready body Language. And had eyes like a hawk. She could tell the lord was uncomfortable. For what reason she was unsure but as soon as he started walking away she felt this sadness take over and out of instinct she grabbed his arm.” Could we try breakfast again tomorrow. I promise I will show up.” Seraphina give a dazzling smile in hopes he would say yes.

He turned...and he saw the dazzling smile...he was incredibly attracted to her...and felt a want he had not thought he might feel again. She was so beautiful and he dismissed any thought that she could be attracted to him, no matter how he might feel. He couldn't stop his body from yearning for her...and his erection was growing...and no woman had had that reaction on him in almost a decade. But there she stood, her thin night gown, her almost translucent hair, and her dazzling smile.

His heart lept, she would never want to be his lover, but perhaps he might finally have a friend, a friend who enjoyed his garden and his books like he did. The fact she was so beauiful, just made her all the more appealing, "Breakfast tomorrow...well of course...I would like that!....Shall we say 8:00 AM? And I had planned on the cook making blueberry waffles and sausages...but she can prepare anything you might like?".

He stood there before her, his eyes bright and hopeful, and his heart beating fast...a large smile on his fierce face...

Seraphina hugged the huge beast tightly and was wiggling about." can we have breakfast in the library. please that would be so much fun and then you can show me all your books. that's perfect i love waffles and sausages is the best. its a date then."

Seraphina realized she was acting like a child and stepped back away and smiled but she blushed as well when she started to hide her blush.

Seraphina said goodnight and closed her door and went to reading the book he gave her and ended up falling asleep with it on her chest. in the morning she left her hair down and got dressed in a deep royal purple dress and walked into the library and smiled at how romantic it looked with a table set up. she looked around and saw now sign of the beast around. so she decide to just look at a few shelves of books.

When she hugged him, she sent a wave of warmth and happiness through his body, that was both unexpected, but also appreciated more than she would ever possibly understand. Who goes nearly ten years without being touched, let alone hugged by another human being? The answer was he had, and it had been so, so lonely.

But then as he wrapped his big strong arms and hands/paws around her, she felt like this delicate flower, toned and sexy, yes, but delicate and fragile and safe in his arms. He felt warmth and caring, and then she wiggled, and all that was magnified when combined with arousal.

She let go, and so, reluctantly so did he. But she had a grin, the cutest blush, they mirrored his own, although his were far less visible.

“Of course we can eat in the library’s, I will make sure that you have no chores, so that after breakfast, you can just enjoy reading to your hearts content”.

As he left her chambers, the big oaf, was almost skipping, he was happy and excited, and he called to his head Of household. He wanted the breakfast to be perfect, he provided explicit instructions on the meal, China, flowers, juices, everything. And then his big shocker, “I will need help bating and being combed out, I want my nicest shirt, and the blue pants he liked best. Again, he never dreamed she could be attracted, but he darn sure wanted to look and smell as good as he could.

It was a two hour ordeal getting him ready in the morning. Everyone was willing to help, and the staff worked in perfect coordination, making the best of him, they could. He may have given up on love, but they hadn’t, but no doubt this girl was probably their last chance.

Cleaned, fluffed, manicured, combed, and as well dressed as a beast can be, he was running late, but hustled to the library. When he saw her, his smile was huge, grinning from ear to ear, despite what she had said, he was terrified she might have changed her mind. He saw her looking admiringly at the books. He startled her, quite unintentionally, “They are amazing aren’t they...they are stacked by Genre, and ordered by author. There where you are are the more love story and romantic ones, over there are adventure, over there mysteries, and lastly over there poetry...” He was proud, and thrilled to see the delight in her eyes. “Do you like it?” He now approached her and gently put his arm around her waist, as the both looked up at the floor to ceiling shelves...

Seraphina felt a rush hit her when she felt this man wrap his arm around her waist and blushed at the act no man had ever touched her like this and it was a new feeling and she loved it. Seraphina knew her feelings were growing for this man and she was falling for him.

She pulled away but grabbed his paw/ hand and pulled him to the table to get started on there food. She made plates for the both of them and set them down on each side and slid into her hair and slightly pull her hair to the other side so she could eat." this is really good you will have to thank the cook for me."

in a bit she finishes her meal and get up again to look at the books and ends up wandering around and smiled at the smell of the books and she sighs as for she is in heaven and never wants to leave. Seraphina wanders back to the table and sighs." my name is Seraphina. i am sorry its taken you this long to learn my name. we did not start off on the best terms. but i have come to find your an amazing person and kind and wonderful to be around i highly enjoy our time together.

Her little body, felt so good in his strong hands and arms, like he could just envelope her in a second if he needed to. He was so big and strong in comparison, he wanted to make sure he didn't hurt her, even by accident. He just wanted to hold her longer, but when she moved away, at first he was sad, but then he felt her grab his hand and take him along with her.

The breakfast was delicious, the cook had out done herself, "I will be sure to tell her, she worked hard on it...I am glad you liked it". He watcher her, can't help but watch her as she moves around the room, her hair, her purple dress, the curves of her body, all hypnotic. He just watches her, smiling, enjoying having a woman in the house, in his library.

"Hi, Saraphina, it is nice to meet you, I am Phillippe, Lord Phillippe Laurant, if I may?" He reached out and took her hand, intending to kiss it, but found himself laughing, in his current form, the formality seemed absurd, but nonetheless he did take her hand, and kissed it, tickling her small hand with his whiskers and slightly wet nose". The rest of her words touched him..."amazing? me? it is you who is amazing...someone so fair, beautiful and intelligent willing to spend time with me...and be so nice and sweet...I have never met another woman like you...I did not think anyone like you existed".

He laughed and went over to the old record player and put on some music, it was soft and pretty. "You do? You enjoy our time..." again his heart soared..."do you know how to dance...I think I knew at one time...but it has been so long...would you be willing to teach me...and dance with me?" He was truly blushing now, but his eyes were sparkling...he was leading a life all of a sudden the had thought impossible only a day or so prior.

Seraphina giggles at his request because didn’t know how to dance either.” I hate to break this to you but I can’t dance either I never learned how but if you till want to try I am all for it my lord.” She bowed and took hold of his hand and put her arm around his shoulder.” Show me how it’s done my good sir.”

After a few moments and many stepping on his toes she decided to stop dancing.” Maybe this is not such a good idea. I really can’t dance and your toes must hurt. Let’s sit by the fire and you can tell me all about your self,”

He had to admit, the first few moves were clumsy for both of them, but it felt so good to have her hand on his shoulder, and his around her waist. And within a minute it all started to come back to him, like riding a bike, 1, 2, 3 and..1, 2, 3, and...the waltz suddenly felt like and old friend...

"I think I am remembering...and it feels so good like this...I think I can teach you...follow me"

He started in a simple box step, then again, then again with a little spin...and soon they were moving around the room at a pretty good clip, reasonably in synch to the music even. They were smiling and laughing, but more than anything...she felt so wonderful in his big strong arms, and he was shockingly graceful, even with his large fury pawed feet.

"There...see we're getting it...and Seraphina...you are beautiful and elegant when you dance..."

Seraphina smile at her clumsiness. But soon got the hang of it and was in love with dancing. Seraphina blushed at his comment and she reached up and gave him a real kiss. She could no longer hid her attraction to him any longer. “ i know we haven’t known each other very long but I feel like I’m falling for you.” She kissed him again this time she was bolder and kept it going.
