This is a story for Elvenspell and Lyonhart42, though there may be room for others to join in later.
It began with:
It began with:
To which Lyon opted:You're a lovely young woman, walking from your home village to see your relatives in the next town over, though a wild but beautiful woods on a sunlit day. As you enjoy the sun's kiss upon your brow, you hear a few faint notes being carried upon the wind from over a hill off to the side of the path. You know you shouldn't tarry too long, but still.. those notes are forming a distant meldoy that really is enchanting. What do you do?
Then:I'm not in too much of a hurry, certenly I can spare a few moments on this bright chearfull day to indulge my curiosity, I'll leasurly follow the sounds over the hill.
To which she said:As you wander off the path, you find the going a bit sower, due to the underbrush and thin but tendrilous vines. You know you'll have burrs on you when you get to where you're going, but the haunting and charming song is growing stronger, and you feel that it won't be any trouble to pick the things off later. Coming to the top of the hill, the music is now coming from the valley before you, and you think you can see some movement down there, but the forest still is too thick to let you see. What do you do now..?
Then:I'll continue down the hill trying to get a good view without being seen myself.
..which is where we begin here.As you go a bit lower, the ground gets a bit unsteady and before you know it, the section that was supporting your weight crumbles under you and you land, sprawled, upon a mercifully soft bunch of vines. Checking yourself for injury, you seem okay, though you have no idea exactly how you're supposed to get back up the hill. That concern fades as the music fairly lifts you to your feet, and just a few feet ahead you can see the movement of a mostly nude man, as he dances to the rhythm of his own flute. Besides his actions, he appears a little different. What do you do now?
