Everyone on this site has been brought here by a common interest, so I figured that an uncommon handle would be an effective way to determine like minds beyond the obvious. I’d rather draw interest as VinyasaGirl and be an outlier here. I’m an avid reader and found this site several years ago looking for info on D/s. I’ve visited every now and again, but actually only signed up recently, as in today. I’m much more of an observer in this "online world” rather than an active participant, I guess because I’m particular and selective about the people I meet, on the net and in real life.

I’m a creative person at heart, so no matter what I do, I always need some artistic outlet. Received my BA in Fine Arts and have been working in the publishing industry since. I did yoga TT and taught for a couple years. To stay out of trouble these days, I design and make jewelry. I tend to go through phases.

Not seeking anything specific, not looking to cyber, but am open to anyone interested in honest communication, exchanging ideas, creating friendships, and writing.

Details: I still get carded :) first gen asian american, fit, professional/artistic/entrepreneurial female, in LTR

Aside: My taste in literature is full spectrum, but here’s a sample of some erotic fiction I have enjoyed. Might give a few inroads into my personality. I’m sure most of these are familiar.

The Sleeping Beauty Series by Anne Rice (or her pseudonym) - a girl loves her fairytales.

Delta of Venus by Anais Nin - I like to call it literary erotica

Topping from Below, Panic Snap by Laura Reese - modern BDSM, more on the commercial side. Compared to these, "50 shades of grey" Is "50 shades lite". Good suspense, plot, well written, lots of kink - but not all RACK or SSC.

I'm re-reading Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand. I read it in college. Though not within the realms of the genre, it approaches the male/female relationship in a way that is appealing to me in a D/s way. A strong, intelligent, determined woman seeks the strength of an honorable man who gives her the freedom to submit to any of his desires, precisely because he is the mirror of her ability, ideals, and achievements. Her femininity is celebrated by his masculinity and vice versa. Very idealistic and romantic.

On Lit, several stories I've enjoyed:

http://www.literotica.com/s/culture-shock - really gets to the heart of D/s

http://www.literotica.com/s/den-of-iniquity-ch-01 - interesting story of how one man gets introduced into the lifestyle.

Please feel free to message if you’re genuine.

I had always thought the Taggert/Galt relationship while in the Gulch to have a D/s vibe.

I figured Ayn to view personal relationships a bit different than most, considering her background and life with her partner.

D/S Undertones

Definitely. There are references to Taggart "lowering her eyes" before Galt. Or referring to him as "Sir" I remember some excerpts where she explores her own feeling of serving him, the pleasure she receives when she watches him eat a meal cooked by her hand.

All very proper and sensual.
