Apparently a hunter was killed by an elk that he had wounded the previous day. When hunting, it is imperative that you are certain of a quick kill. But hunting is difficult. People were ecstatic over the hunter's death. Unbridled joy greeted the news of the loss of a man's life.
So, in other words, a man who was out performing an important task in the environment is deserving of death, but an evil man who hurts other people is anti-social is a martyr whose death must be avenged through violence against innocent people.

Digital blackface. It is a form of racism for white people to utilize GIFs, emojis or memes featuring black people. So no Stanley Hudson rolling his eyes, No Sweet Brown saying "I ain't got time for that.", no Kanye. In other words, practice Digital Segregation. Before selecting a GIF, emoji or Meme, check skin color and base your decision on that. Keep the races separate digitally.

People are losing their minds.

On a side note; there is some consistency in withholding sympathy for people who kills animals for sport, and having empathy for people who are victims of excessive use of force by police.

Where some see the hunter and the police as the victims in both situations, others can reasonably see the Elk and the person who died with a knee on their neck as the victim.

Just because some people view both the Elk, and a person who has committed a crime, as nothing more than unfeeling animals that need to be removed from the environment to keep it healthy, that doesn't mean everyone is going to accept such a cold and inhumane rationalization for killing either of them.
