Any one else a fan?

Smoking an Ashton VSG as I write this.

What's your go to brand?

Right now it is the Saint Luis Rey Especial Belicoso. There is a hint of chocolate and they smoke nice.

My friend Dave smokes cigars and I couldn't tell you what kind except they all smell like burning pigweed. He likes to drink expensive bourbon with them so I keep him around,

Today I'm going the cheap bourbon route. Trying to find an under $30 bottle I can drink as my cheap go to. Went with Bulleitt. So far so good. Jefferson Reserve is a favorite, though, for about $50. And their Presidential is phenomenal if you can find it.

I rarely smoke cigars. Non-flavored ones when I do. I like the smell. Flavored, sweet ones? No thank you.

Aren't Cubans supposed to be the best? Too bad they're politically incorrect.

I don't believe them to be the best on a broad scale. They tend to lean toward the mild, with a caramel note. At least the ones I have smoked. It depends on my mood. Nicaraguan cigars are also great, if you find the right ones.

They need to lift that embargo anyway, in my opinion.

That is nice, you're very lucky. Not many of us ladies actually like the smell of a cigar.

That's because they are not over processed, and chemical tasting (and smelling) like cigarettes. A smoother smell for a smoother smoke. :)

Yeah, I'm not a fan, either. I want to taste the tobacco.

I used to light them just for the smell, until they burned out. Then I'd light them again. I am from TN, so that might have something to do w/why I like the smell. I rarely, if ever, actually smoke them. :)

I've had companions that smoke them, I will steal a puff here and there. I smoke cigarettes sometimes, when I smoked them regularly, I loved a brand of Egyptian cigarettes. I'm not sure they even still make them. Slightly sweet black paper and rich tobacco. They were very good but expensive. I forget the name, they came in a black box.

Believe it or not, I recently picked up some Romeo & Juliet top of the line that impressed me and a few friends. <shrug>

Really? I've smoked the Cuban and enjoyed them, but the rest have left me a bit flat.
