No..not one of mine, God that would be dull. I'm talking about the movie. I love it. I watch it like crazy during the holidays and pretty much know the whole script.

I love this as much as the Food Network.

So for all you Christmas story, Red Ryder BB-gun, Bumpus Hound, Leg Lamp fans, I found this wonderful site.

There is a section on the late Jean Shepard who wrote the story, bloopers, a Macy's window display.....oh just go look yourself and don't shoot your eye out!!!

and watch out....those icicles have been known to kill people.

We got my oldest hooked on that movie last year. Can't wait to watch again this year with both of the boys!

Oh yeah. We have it pretty much memorized.

But the thing that still gets me? The sound of the train whistle as he lies in bed. That was my childhood too.

This is one of our holiday traditions, me and the boys trying to watch it while the wife tries desperately to avoid it.

She just never saw the beauty of a Red Ryder single shot pump action BB gun.

And I miss my old Daisy 880 every time I watch it.

I don't think you have to see the beauty of the Red Ryder to appreciate it. There are so many fantastic scenes in that movie- the fight scene with all that cussing, the lamp, the dogs eating the turkey...
I totally need to break down and buy that dvd.

I don't think I've EVER seen it..........I guess I've had a deprived adulthood.

I may have to coerce the gosling into renting the movie for this weekend.

I find it hard to believe that she doesn't have a copy.

I'll go delving.

I don't have to delve.
Just mailed her.
'Of course I have a copy. Told you at least 10 times you are GOING to watch it.'

Tee-hee.......senility setting in.

That's that settled, then.

:D

YOU MUST see Polar Express, and sorry to say, but Martha Stuart is the only one with rely on recipes :D Otherwise you get my Grand Marnier basted, and apricot almond stuffed turkey. People like sage and Cranberry at Christmas, though :(

Orange marmalade works in place as a baste, but only AT the end, otherwise it burns. Polar Express made me cry. :( happily though :)

Now that sounds good.

I thought it was brilliant and the animation was incredible.

We watched it at Min's parents on Thanksgiving. Huge screen, even huger sound. Wow. It was good, but a complete Tom Hanks ego trip. Did he have to do ALL the adult voices???
