A case to be made for self driving cars...

a bad idea in general since the radar braking system has to have an algorithm built in to decide who gets runover in a car vs crowd scenario.

Id explode the fuel tank and total as many pedestrians as possible.

I'm sitting here thinking.... A day will come when a 16 year old will get a license... to use a self driving car....

...his dog could drive.

Well, see it as license to be in control of equipment of certain complexity that, at least in theory could be weaponized (although the AI of the vehicle may try to resist that, it can't be proofed as any attempt to tell the the AI to not destroy the world would inevitably fail (there's mathematical proof of that out there somewhere)).

If the car is driving, who needs a license?
If you do, how does the car know you are of legal age? It is making the decisions.
There was talk of the car recognizing a limited number of voices to activate it, thereby eliminating Car jacking and theft.

Imagine how many could activate Trumps car

Recent trials in the UK emphasised lane discipline. But on so many roads in the UK, lane markings are unclear or eroded. What then?

Near me a road junction has a stop sign which many drivers ignore. The road markings are very faint and the sign has been obscured by wind-driven snow, What does a self-driving car do then?

It figures out how to vote for the Democrat to raise taxes so that the road lines can be painted and the sign replaced?

Jay Leno on "Last Man Standing."

I don't like them, you never know who to give the finger to.
