Would love to go back to school for my masters and eventually doctorate in either Psych or Education (maybe a double). My husband and I have talked about it and we figure if his career keeps on the same general upswing, we will have a baby in about a year or two, I will be able to be a full time mom and part time student. It will be a slow steady climb but I think it's doable. By the time our kid's like 10ish he would like to be able to have a home office in independent practice (he's an architect) and I'll be done with school and out into the wider working world again.

well ya know its just the general game plan, subject to change -you never know what life's gonna throw your way. But I am particularly interested in developmental psych, esp early childhood.

I have a BS in Business Management but consider my education to be my flight training and experience. I hold Commercial, Instrument, Instructor, Instrument Instructor, Flight Engineer Turbojet, and Airline Transport Rating with type certification on the Boeing 727 and McDonnel Douglas DC 10. Maybe I'm predjudiced (probably) but I consider the Airline Transport Rating, ATP, to be the equivalent of a doctoral degree. My Captains hat and coat with four stripes is my "cap and gown"!

I guess that means that I am always trying to figure out the solution to problems and puzzles.

There's this game with colored pegs called Mastermind, ever seen it? you have to guess the other person's color code in a limited number of moves. Also I like Othello. Little 2 player logic games. Not sure what it says about me.

Scrabble is a great game!
I also love to play Rook... which is a card game. Kind of a family thing, I guess. Takes lots of stragety and a kind of silent communication between you and your partner, and the ability to guess what is going to happen before hand.
So what it says about me? I like to think far too much.

Yeah? Well PC says he can beat ANYONE in scrabble (well, that was said in the context of playing with my family, but still my Mom can get 70 pts. off of putting down 2 letters) I dare you to challenge him in a game sometime. ;-)

Oh rhumb can I tell you, I have such a fear of flying. I mean I do it, and kind of a lot, but I just hate it. Went for hypnotherapy for it last Sept, because it is just so unlike me to be afraid of soemthing like that, and I wanted to del with it. Unfortunately my first session was Sept 6. my next one was scheduled for Sept 13...and then, well, you know... I went for my appointment anyway and just talked with the hypnotherepist, she is a really cool woman and she said "There's nothing I can do for you right now, this situation is too powerful." I had a trip scheduled in October I considered cancelling, but after much heming and hawing went anyway. So I've flown now about 7 times in the past year, but I just hate it every time. I understand the physics of it (hell, I taught a student workshop about it) so it's not a lack of information, I just fucking hate it.
There. Don't know why I said all that except now that I am finally going to be going home, I have to face the fact that on Sept 15 I have to get on a plane (2 in fact, connecting) and fly back to England. Eeep.

I'm not actually into my career yet, but I recently switched from Creative Writing to Pre-Law... I think I just have more passion now for the law than I do writing. Maybe as a hobby or something, but not as a career, I'm afraid.
