Christina sat in her car, looking over at the door before sighing. She hadn't been on many dates, and a blind one seemed extremely risky. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and stepped out of the car. She made her way up to the door, and gently knocked on it with one hand while the other held a boquet of roses. She took a step back, that moment of fear, excitement, and anticipation almost overwhelming.

She was never one to take blind dates, always trying to do the safe thing. But her friend had finally cajoled her into it. She said that her date was going to be an enjoyable one but she wasn't certain. She brushed a stray lock of brown hair out of her eyes, gulping and looking up as she heard the door begin to open.

How had I let Tom talk me into a blind date, it wasn't like I really needed to date yet anyways. I was just getting over a bad relationship, of course that was six months ago. But wasn't it an unspoken law somewhere that you had at least a year before you had to give your heart to someone else? Giving myself a long hard look in the full length mirror by my bed. Well this will just have to do, I hope she like what she sees, cuz it gets no better then this.

Shugging my shoulder, scanning the soft green outfit I had chosen to enhance my green eyes and blonde hair. I had been told I looked good in this, though the halter was cut lower then I honestly cared for. It still showed off my honey colored skin that I was proud of, since I hadn't ever really been able to tan much when I was younger. The matching shorts were just a bit darker then the top but they were the same color of the light gazy cover top, again they were cut a bit shorter then I liked but the over all effect they gave was nice.

Pulling my long hair back into a clip, slipping on a small pair of hoop earrings, and a set of white sandals. Looking to see if I needed makeup, I have been lucky with my complextion. Clear and flawless, I hardly ever wore makeup, just a touch here and there if I really felt the need. Tonight I felt the need for a light lipgloss and so applied it lightly. Finally satified with how I look I turn from the mirror in time to hear the door bell ring.

Here we go, I wonder what she will be like. Moving toward the door I feel the butterflies in my stomach take flight. Only to land at my feet when I open the door and look at the woman standing there.

Wow! I hadn't meant to say anything, realizing I had I quickly try to make the first impression better. I'm sorry, but Tom didn't tell me.. Well he didn't say you were a model, so it caught me off guard. She was fantastic to look at and when she smiled I knew I was in love. Again I am sorry please come in, motioning for her to come into my house. I thought we might talk for a bit before we head out, I made reservations at Martinelle's for 9. I hope that is fine with you, if not I can call and change it for later if you like.

Christina gaped in shock as she looked at what seemed to be an angel sent from heaven. She nodded slowly, trying to choke out a sentence as she stood in the doorway, holding out the boquet of roses, "I.. I.. That's.. fine. I'm.. C.. C.. Christina."

She felt absolutely silly, sounding like she had a stutter for goodness sake. She herself wasn't dressed as fabulously, following Sarah's advice and just wearing what felt comfortable. So she put on her favorite blouse with the blue and white stripes, a pair of black slacks and black sandles over white socks. Compared to the wonderfully dressed woman infront of her, she felt out of place.

Christina forced herself to close her mouth and smile, straightening the thin-rimmed glasses she wore. She took a step inside after Katheryn had taken the flowers, looking down in that shy way that she did. She felt it made her look silly but Sarah always said it was kind of cute and charming. She wondered what Kathryn thought of her shyness.

Katheryn

"Christina.. Thats a beautiful name and has always been one of my favorites. Oh I forgot to tell you I am Katheryn. Sorry about that its just that.. Well Hun to be honest your a knockout, so it caught me off guard." She was adorable the shyness drawing me in like a moth to the flame. Taking the flowers she offered I quickly put them in a vase with some water placing it on the table near the front door.

"Come in have a seat, would you like something to drink before dinner? I have some nice wine here or some soda's. My.. um friend liked her soda so I kept it around a lot for her." I hadn't meant to bring her up to Christina and I hoped she didn't take any offence to it. It was still hard to realize that when I woke up in the morning she wouldn't be here to share my coffee with. Shaking off the sudden depression, this wasn't about her anymore. This was about me and a fresh start, one that I hoped would be with someone who cared about me as much as I cared about them.

Smiling at Christina asking softly, "Hmm what would you like to talk about? I am sort of new to this blind date thing."

Christina blushed at that and nodded, "Thank you. You are very lovely, as well."

"Oh, wine sounds very nice," She didn't mind the bringing up of Kathryn's ex, and she quietly sat down, looking up at her, "I'm very glad I did this. Normally I don't do blind dates but I guess I got lucky."

"Hmm.. well, I guess I should let you know about me," She cleared her throat, taking a deep breath and smiling, shy as always, "Well, I want to be a writer, and right now I'm working as a secretary. Umm.. well.. I have a small apartment that I live it, it's in a nice part of town. I have a pet cat Kiki, and a dog named Patches."

She scratched the back of her head, trying to think of something to talk about, "Umm.. I have to say.. I think you are amazingly beautiful. I'm not exactly sure why Sarah thought I would have a chance," She sort of giggled, nervously. There she was again, putting herself down even after this angel told her she was a knockout.

"Well.. would you like to talk about yourself?"

Katheryn

Christina was so shy and I thought of it as adorable, I loved the fact that she didn't actually realize how beautiful she was. Listening to her tell me about her self I found myself smiling, she seemed to have a lot going for herself without even realizing it.

Blushing lightly with her compliments, "Thank you, I don't honestly see myself as anything different then normal and plain. Its just the way I was made and I have to live with it I guess." Laughing lightly to put a bit of ease into my words, my ex had always said I needed to believe in myself more but of course that was easier said then done.

"Your life sounds wonderful, I am an office cordinator for the Brothers Law Firm. Don't let the title fool you though its nothing more then being a secretary, they just like to show off with giving long complicated titles. Although being a secretary is harder work then most would think it is. Making sure that all appointments are met with and scheduling the long days for our bosses. Not to mention the ones who tend to think they were put on this earth as gifts to every woman available to hit on."

Grinning I watch Christina figet a bit in her seat, she had a fantastic body and I didn't mind watching it move gracefully about my furniture. Something in the way she moved made me think of long exotic nights filled with a quiet passion filled loving. Just what I was hoping would happen one night soon with her, god she was gorgious.

"As you can see I don't have pets the lease here doesn't allow for them, but when I can buy my own home I will have some. I am wanting some place where I can sit on my own front porch in a swing and enjoy a evening sunset. I love watching the sunset how about you?"

Christina

Christina smiled and nodded as she began to calm down, "Oh, I love watching the sunset. Maybe we could watch it together before our date is over?" God, Kathryn was unbelievably attractive, that body was just amazing and that outfit seemed to fit. She found herself moving closer, leaning in, wanting to kiss.

She quickly looked down at her watch, "Oh.. umm, look at the time! It's almost 9, maybe we should be heading to Martinelle's?" She slowly moved back to where she had originally been sitting, looking around and trying to hide her embarrasement. If she did something so silly now, she might blow the date and she'd never have a chance for another date with this amazing woman.

Smiling I had noticed that Christina had moved closer to me and I was more then willing to be as close as she would allow me to be. Then she seemed to realize what she was doing to my disappointment she moved away from me looking to her watch. Well she was right about one thing we should be on our way, but damn her mouth just kept drawing me and I wanted to know what this delicious beauty tasted like.

"Yes, your right want to take my car, your car, or just meet there? I would prefer that we take the same car but I know with the way dating is today its safer to have both cars." Looking her up and down before continuing letting my eyes take in her small but glorious looking body. "I have no problems taking your car if you like, but it is up to you."

Grabbing a small lightweight jacket off the peg by the door, then grabbing my purse putting it on my shoulder. I look back to Christina smiling watching her move to join me by the door. She was so graceful in every move she made and I found myself wanting to know her much better.
