A beautiful day in Ann Arbor

Hell of a game. Hope Ohio losing helps notre name get in the playoffs

As Michigan alum, I'm always glad when they win. Beating THE Ohio State University is a super treat.

I don't like the Ohio State University.
I don't like their fans.
I don't like the team, and I don't like their jerk of a president.
I DO, however, have family from Michigan and always root for the Wolverines whenever they are on, even though they are not my #1 favorite.

So of COURSE I'm stoked about this.

And I apologize to all the Ohio State fans out there who are genuinely good people; I have had a bad few run ins with them on the sports forums is all.

EDIT: And you know who else I hate? Sandy Eggo State. Sadly, they did NOT lose yesterday. Though I so wish they would have.

Harbaugh to give bonus to COVID-affected staff

Jim Harbaugh will donate any bonus money earned from his contract this season to University of Michigan athletic department employees who had their pay reduced due to COVID-19 issues.

The way Harbaugh's contract is constructed, he has the ability to earn bonuses up to $3.475 million. That includes $500,000 for winning the Big Ten East, which the Wolverines did on Saturday by beating rival Ohio State.

Harbaugh would trigger $1 million if Michigan wins the Big Ten Championship Game on Saturday against Iowa, and another $500,000 if it makes the College Football Playoff semifinal.

No. 2 Michigan wins first outright Big Ten title since 2003, cements spot in CFP

For the first time since 2003, Michigan is the outright champion of the Big Ten Conference.

There was no hangover for the No. 2 Wolverines a week after they triumphantly snapped an eight-game losing streak to rival Ohio State to win the Big Ten East. They followed that up with a dominant 42-3 victory over No. 13 Iowa on Saturday night in Indianapolis, ending a 16-year Big Ten championship drought in the process.

With the win, Michigan has almost certainly wrapped up a berth in the College Football Playoff — a first for the program with the most wins in NCAA history.

Win over Ohio State? Check. Big Ten East title? Check. Big Ten title? Check. College Football Playoff? Almost certainly another check.

As you can tell I did not get what I wanted for Christmas. I just wish it hadn't been a blow out!
