A BDSM fairytale

Hello all. I'm currently writing a BDSM story involving a young girl (18 of course) who is basically sold to a sexy, sadistic, rich stranger after her father looses a bet. She goes to live with the stranger and at first hates and fears him, because she stumbles in on him Dom-ing a slave and is terrified but titillated at the same time. Eventually she warms up to him, and allows herself to be the sub to his Dom, thereby discovering the beauty of sumbission. I realized about halfway through writing this that it is really very similar to the original fairytale of Beauty and the Beast (In the original, her dad promises Beauty to the Beast in exchange for his own life) So, I was wondering if people think it would be fun for me to emphasize the fairytale themes of the story (I.E.: throw in some more aspects of the original tale). Or, should I keep the fairytale references to a minimum, just a dash of flavor to a BDSM tale? I'd love to hear some opinions.

I think it would get better reviews if you stayed away from the fairytale bit. Course I think would be funny to include talking candlesticks and such to.

Heck really go for broke, there are talking and moving BDSM items in the story and they help her submit to him. ;)

Ha! I never thought about talking furniture. I actually meant that I was thinking of including more aspects of the original story. Talking candles were a Disney advent. If I did want to put it under comedy, however... a magical talking dildo might be the way to go.

I like the fairy-tale aspect. Anne Rice (under a nom de plume) had great success with it.

talking dildo

ok thats hilarious, I would definately have a fun time reading that. It would take away a from any serious tone to the story but there are so many of those... if done correctly I think a fairytale bdsm story could be really fun. Hey gotta keep a sense of humor

I'd love to get a pm from you telling me when its done :)

i love beauty and the beast, and fairytales in general, there are a few earlier versions to pull information from.

I'm a little different

I have started writing, but first I figure out the story, then include the sex where I think it would happen. A beauty and the beast type of thing is cool, a nice story idea, and the sex could easily fit in anywhere in the story.

If the story drives the sex, I think you will have a great piece of writing, IMHO.

Make it subtle

I like the idea of the references. Perhaps using many of the original stories' names or some derivative. The example of "O' Brother Where Art Thou" and how the references tied to Homer's the Oddessy comes to mind.
