A banal complaint

I realize that every successful author has coped with this problem. I'm not soliciting sympathy; I am adding voice.

The toil and dissatisfaction with the results of adding narrative to compensate for the loss of power in a change of present to past tense in my story threatens my will to continue.

Don't worry about it. the truth is there is just as much narrative force in past tense-- even if YOU don't think so.

If your present tense narrative is successful in your view, submit it that way. Who told you it had to be altered?
