Just like all of the uniformed services, you need to reserve a special place in your heart for the men and women of FDNY/NYPD... it takes heart, soul and true valor to willingly sacrifice one's self for the sake of others.

My prayers will be with you all who gave the ultimate of yourselves on this day one year ago, those that you left behind, and for those of you who continue to do so.
