“and thats why I need double what I'm normally getting” Vincent said in to the phone, a cigarette hanging lazily from his lips as he rapped his fingers against the table he was sitting at, a rather irate look on his face “no, really, don't call them, they already know and their cool with it”he inhaled deeply, letting the smoke fill his lungs, not that there was much point, the nicotine was never going to get in his system “cant you just take my word for it?”

he looked worried as he put out his cigarette, got up from the table and walked to the fridge, still listening to the phone call “ok, I know its not how things are normally done” he opened the fridge and moved aside the beers on the bottom shelf, revealing two red containers “listen, I need some more, I cant explain why, and I need it fast, can you make a delivery...” he continued, pinching the top of his nose as he did “ok, that'll work, just remember, this ones off the books” he turned off the hands free and tossed it back on to the table as he closed the fridge.

“I am so screwed” he looked over at the door to his room, he could feel her in there now, some kind of link between sire and spawn, he should have paid attention in class “only a matter of time now” he rushed in to the bathroom and quickly went to the mirror, staring at his somewhat ragged reflection, his hair was a mess, he was starting to grow some stubble and he was only wearing a pair of old pajama pants, well thats what he gets for having been awake for three days straight worrying.

He sighed and started fixing himself up, shaving, running his hair under some water, sadly he didn't get time to find a clean outfit before he felt her awake, it was strange, he could fell her presence there in his room, he felt like he was in a horror movie and she was the Axe wielding maniac.

“well, no point in putting this off” he straightened himself up and gulped down the rising panic then went to take a step towards his room, the second he did however, she screamed, the sound ringing through the entire building. He ran for the door now, practically knocking it off its hinges in his rush to get in, then when he was he stopped dead, face to face with Moria, the woman he had just turned in to a vampire.

"um... Goodmorning?"

Vincent wasn't too surprised by her reaction, yelling and hitting was what he probably deserved, if not more. What did surprise him though was the strength that she was hitting him with, he had forgotten just how much of a boost vampirism gave people as far as things like strength went. “listen, I can explain” he tried, but she kept shouting at him and smacking him, so he could barely get in a word.

“Please, listen, just stop” he tried to talk again, but it didn't work, so he resorted to more drastic measures. “SILENCE!” he yelled, his voice making hers sound like a whisper, he grabbed her arm, pulled her forward and twisted her around so he could trap her in a bear hug with her facing away from him “now, you have every right to be angry, and after you've heard me out you can go back to hitting me if you like, but for now, just be quiet

He took a deep breath “Moria, I... I'm a vampire... and you are too”

In the time between him telling her the truth and her not believing it, Vincent relived every moment he had with her like this, her tiny form pressed against his while he held her tight, they had never gone that far, normally because he had gotten nervous whenever it looked like it was going to turn in to anything more than heavy petting, he was afraid that he would loose control, and now he had.

Then she started struggling again, bucking in his arms, trying to wriggle out, then biting him when that didn't work, he winced as her teeth sunk in to his arm, her fangs out since he hadn't taught her how to hide them "yes, just drink, you need to regain your strength" he loosened his grip on her, hoping she wouldn't struggle and tear his forearm up.

Vincent smiled when she stopped struggling and drank, even going so far as to lean back against him, letting him support her completely, it had been so long since Vincent had drunk from a live subject that he had forgotten how pleasurable it could be, but seeing her melt in to him like that brought back all the vivid memories, so he let her take her fill, he could always top himself up later.

"There, isn't that better?" he whispered as he sat down on the bed behind him once she was done, taking her down on to his lap "I know its hard, but you have to accept it, we're vampires" he gently moved her off his lap and laid her down on the bed next to him.

He looked at her, lying there, wearing nothing but his old chocobo shirt and a pair of boxers, a stray line of blood trailing from the corner of her mouth, he sighed longingly and then turned away, instead looking at where she had bit him, the skin was torn violently, and it wasn't a very good spot for blood flow, he would have to teach her how to drink from someone properly “if you start to feel the thirst again, just tell me, I can spare more blood”

"Ow!" Vincent rubbed his shoulder where she had hit him "you know that hurts now right?" he asked, looking over and seeing the rage and anger drain from her face, it never did last long with her, though a part of him wished she was still angry, rather than have her be as sad and sorrowful as her face portrayed.

"Yes" he sighed "there is no cure short of ending it all" he was silent for a moment, not wanting to overload her with information so soon "for better or worse, you are and always will be a vampire" he fell back, his head landing roughly in line with hers on the bed.

"On the plus side, being a vampire is much better than Hollywood makes it out to be" he smirked, hoping that if he acted a little happy it might rub off on her "eternal youth, immunity to disease, prodigious strength, enhanced senses, the addition of a new and delicious food group, hell, we can even go out in sunlight for a while”

He stretched, then rolled over on to his side so he was looking at her “and as far as new vampires go, you're in luck, you're now a part of an incredibly successful and important bloodline, you're practically royalty now” he sopped and scratched his head “well, not in the sense that either of us will ever be in charge of anything, but we're closely related to the people that do”

His eyes followed hers when they drifted down to her rear, personally he never saw the problem there, something he often tried to explain to her, sadly it usually lead to some heated moments, which is when he would seize up and back away from the whole situation, so he guessed she never took it seriously.

“well, I.. you see” he went to tell her why, but he didn't get a chance, she just asked him another question, and another, letting them stack up and really put the pressure on before he had a chance to answer, she knew he wasn't good at stuff like this.

“I” he gulped back his nervousness and turned away from her “i did it because... I was angry, back then, when it happened I mean” it occurred to him that she didn't know it had been so long yet, but he didn't want to throw any more bad news at her, so he skipped over it “you had come to break up with me, and I had just found out what you did, I guess I just snapped, thats why I was always distant, its had to control the biting reflex sometimes, you'll find out, when your angry, stressed, when your... um, doing other things” he blushed at the last one, remembering a few of the dreams involving her that would result in his pillow being shredded when he awoke.

“you just end up wanting to sink your teeth in...” he went silent for a moment, he hay have been ashamed of it, but the feeling as he turned her was one of the best things he had ever done in his life “and they don't know about you yet, there are rules and procedures, lots of red tape, but they'll have to be told”

She took in what he was saying rather well, she also didn't notice that he skipped the one question about what the two of them were now, he was quite glad about that part, he didn't exactly know how he was going to approach that subject without getting hit again.

But before he could put any thought in to it, she started making a run for it, she always had been fast, making him rely on his vampiric speed whenever he wanted to catch her, sadly for him though, now she had that little trick as well. He jumped from the bed and gave chase, not that it did much good.

As she reached the front door he cursed himself for not locking it, then made one last desperate attempt to stop her, jumping forward and stretching out his arm, grabbing a fistful of whatever he could before he hit the floor, then looking up to see the effect.

He blushed when he saw what he was holding, the now scrunched up black boxers around her ankles, he knew he shouldn't have, but he couldn't help himself when he looked upwards, getting an eyeful of what she had claimed he would never get another chance at three days ago “thats... wow”

Vincent was transfixed, those few seconds seemed like a lifetime for him, sure, there had been a few times when his hand had strayed in to her pants for a bit of heavy petting, but he had always shyed away from all of it before the pants came off, so this was his first time actually seeing her naked down there... he swore he could hear some kind of choir music in the background.

But then it all came to an abrupt end as a scream of pervert ruined the music in his head and she smacked him on the shoulder so hard it was going to hurt for the rest of the day “gha! I'm sorry” he quickly stood up as well, turning away from her and holding out the boxers for her to take, trying to hide the fact that his now blushing face wasn't the only increased blood flow he was feeling.

“I'm sorry, but you really cant go out” he looked over his shoulder, making sure to not let his eyes drift any lower than her neck “its 11am, and it you have to build up sun resistance, if you go out there now in that you would be crispy by the time you got anywhere you could go”

Vincent looked away from her pouting face, he always did fall for that one, not like he would give in this situation, but it would make him feel even more guilty than he already did, as if technically killing her wasn't enough already.

“eww” his face screwed up at the thought of being a father figure to anyone he felt about the way he did her “i am not your dad” he shook his head and sighed, he may have still had feelings for her, but he knew she would never feel for him the same way again.

“and I'm not your babysitter either, I'm just trying to do the right thing, its my fault you're in this situation and I don't want it to be any worse for you, so I, just.... I have a headache” he rubbed his temple and started walking back towards the kitchen “you should probably drink something soon, the hunger pains get very bad very quick”
