... Have nothing to do with race, police or terrorists.

Most american gun deaths are suicides.

Cool!

You are 4 times more likely to kill yourself if you own a gun.

Richard Daily owns guns....fingers crossed!

Kids under 15 killed by guns in the US are almost always killed by a gun from their own home.... Half the time by suicide.

Dont like your kids?

Get a gun.... Chances are, they'll kill themselves.

In the 1960's civil unrest years, gun violence per capita in the USA was higher than now.

Now fewer households have guns, but those who own guns have 4 or 5.... Ones that can kill more people, faster.

We've had that discussion before.

The statistics are relatively constant.

It's like saying the same percentage of people own more stocks and bonds...

We have nine guns, my kid owns one of them, it's her gun.

Bogus stat that is continually repeated.

If we were smart we'd buy guns for every black boy and abortions for every black girl.

my gun bearing household
has raised 3 children
and
4 grandchildren
and
no one has been shot.

must be an aberration.

ear infections,
now there's something
that should be banned.

Ish's whelp will be along later to explain to you why those numbers don't say what they actually say.

I suspect those committing suicide probably forgot to renew their memberships. When they do, the revenue figures can be corrected in the tax filings.

Yeah, but the Roryns and Phrodopes and slob down souths can't get into super whiny wringing of hands mode when someone kills themselves with a gun.

They need whites shooting blacks to keep themselves going here. Or occasionally a kid being killed with their parent's gun.

So check your facts at the door, you're ruining their lives, which revolve around this place.

screaming about you so called get it tomorrow number but it somewhere between justin or drugs.

I'm going to leave that ^^^^ entire hot mess there just as an illustration of how bad this particular incarnation of predictive text seems to be on this particular phone. It is a true Marvel that I ever get an entire sentence out.

What I was attempting to say was that every time someone screams about the 10,000 so-called gun deaths in America, I point out that less than 15 % are in categories other than suicide, justifiable, or gang and drug related. Unless you're a morose, drug slinging, gang member, your odds of being shot to death with a gun are slim.

Not much you can do about the tiny odds of being shot while robbed other than cooperate or shoot him, but you do have some influence on the vast majority of remaining small chances of being shot. Most of those are either stem from domestic violence or a workplace shooting.

Treating one's spouse and employees well or remaining single and away from other's spouses and self-employed brings your odds to effectively zero.

Is it possible that there is more gun death in the USA because there are more guns?

Or are Americans just more hate-filled than everyone else?

The latter seems apt.

Shooting another gang member does seem hateful, but is a weak expression compared to MS-13 that prefer the personal touch that hacking a rival to death with a machete affords.

I feel if we could get all the gang and drug-related murderers on the same page using guns exclusively we could move some of the edged weapon and blunt object murders into the much cooler "Gun Deaths" column.
