Ours was 10 or 12K, and ran our well pump, refrigerator, and one or two AC units, plus some other stuff on that line (computers and lights). It wasn't the whole house, but just about everything we needed with a baby (frozen breast milk, fresh running water) and working-at-home grown-ups.
