Electoral college votes Monday. In many states there aren't bound by law to vote for the state winner. If you were voting, would you take $50,000,000 to change your vote?

I would like to think I cannot be bought but I have three children, 2 of which are in the gifted program, that I hope to see in Ivy League schools one day, so for them I might be able to be bought. The third is only 2 but at times she puts her brothers to shame.

It's a sad confession, but I would take the money, especially in an election like this one where I have no respect for any of the candidates.

I have to admit that I would take the money.
I could do more good for our nation with 50,000,000 than a high seated politician ever would with his power.

I concur with what Nitelight said. I would take the 50 million and travel the world, open a place where kids in my area could play and learn.......I think all of my family would be well taken care of and I would give back to the community and my family.

I never have to worry about this because I am Canadian but I don't think I would take the money because it is morally wrong.

Show me the money.
That's a hell of a lot of money for a vote change. I'd do it for significantly less. Hell, I bet the candidates would, too.

LMAO!

Show me the money........anytime

I would do it for alot less, maybe like 49 million or so, but I would feel bad about it~~~all the way up and until the check arrived/was credited to my account, then the guilt would go away!!!! Show me the money, show me....

If somebody offered me 50 Mil to change my electoral vote, I would:

1: Insist on a certified check up front.

2: Make copies of the check.

3: Deposit the check.

4: Send the copies and a sworn statement to every news bureau and law enforcement agency I could think of.

5: Vote the way I was bid by the electors of my state.

6: Live off the interest while the asshole tried to get his money back.!

Wouldn't it be interesting if just a couple of voters abstained? They wouldn't have to 'change' their vote at all.

No way. Some things are just too important and someone somewhere has to set an example, but I do like the idea of exposing the offer.

I'd sleep with one of them for $50,000,000 (american dollars not pesos), but I wouldn't change the vote. What? I'm freaking desperate, everyone knows that. Okay, make it $50,000,000,000 for either Buchanan or Nader. Can I set a time limit?
