In a small town in western Texas, Silas Baxter was his high school's quarterback growing up. While he had good skills and led his team to two division championships, he didn't have what college scouts thought was enough to get a college scholarship. While Silas was bummed that his hopes of making it to the NFL were already dashed, he was content with it, knowing as his father's eldest and only son, that he would inherit his father's car mechanic shop, and being from a small town and being an honest shop, they made good money.
The 6'4". 235 lbs white man maintained his tan athletic body working on cars, and already had his own house at age 24, complete with pool, hot tub, extended garage where he could work on some old cars, and man cave for watching all the sports and playing video games he wanted. He dated on and off, but at the current time had no girlfriend.
Silas's love of football extended to watching all of the football games. In high school, he would spend Sundays from dawn until dusk in front of the TV watching NFL games, cheering on his Cowboys, and spending time with his friends. They included:
- Blake Mills, 6'1", 195 lbs black wide receiver
- Garrett Paulson, 5'11" 225 lbs white running back
- Taylor Barnes, 6'3" 285 lbs white offensive lineman
- Bubba Smoltz, 6'2" 205 lbs black cornerback
While Silas stayed local and went to the local community college to get an associate's degree to run his father's business, his other friends got scholarships to go to school and play football, but one by one came back home after finishing college and not making it to the NFL. Blake had the most talent, but blew out his knee twice at Texas Tech and couldn't stay healthy. Garrett and Taylor contributed on the Texas Longhorns, but not enough to be deemed worthy of the NFL. Bubba went to UAB, but when the football program folded, came home and finished his degree at the same community college as Silas.
Currently, Bubba and Blake worked at Silas's auto shop, Bubba as a mechanic, and Blake as the accountant since his knee was still in rehab. Garrett worked for the local electrician and Taylor became an assistant coach at their old high school and taught History. All back together, the guys resume their NFL watching Sundays, although those Sundays now included beer, pool tables, fantasy football, swimming pools, and more beer.
Back in the day, Silas would have to keep his little sister with them while watching football. The little twerp would cause problems, but she always brought another friend with her. This friend of his sister's was a little nerdy, but also had a bit of tomboy in her and love football almost as much as the guys. The guys eventually got use to his sister's friend watching the game with them, but she didn't have the looks that any of the guys paid that much attention to her.
2015, start of a new season, Silas and the boys had drafted their fantasy teams the week before and were ready for the new NFL season. Their fantasy league was one owner short and putting out the ABP for a new owner on Facebook, his sister's old friend had mentioned she was interested in joining, seeing as she was back in town. She couldn't make the draft because she was moving back into town that weekend, so her team was auto drafted, but Silas invited her to join the watch parties again, since she was one of the few girls who knew the difference between pass interference and defensive holding.
Silas and the boys were getting settled in the man cave when he heard the doorbell ring. Realizing it was his sister's friend, Silas went upstairs to answer the front door. But he was not prepared for what was on the other side of it...
