I recently read in the FAQ's, that number of views is updated every 12 to 24 hours, and votes are processed immediately. It does seem weird though. It eventually evens out

I think the majority of my stories don't have that many, nonetheless have that many with the system unable to keep up in views.

I think part of it has to do with the category. This is my first story in lesbian sex. They do tend to taper off after a bit but I've noticed a lot more attention to all my stories since I posted a lot of them this past month.
