James Wentworth III

James Wentworth III was a man in his mid 40s, dark brown hair, blue eyes, about six feet tall. Despite his looks, all of the women of society that he had been introduced to had rejected him. His family could not understand it.
James Wentworth II had issued an ultimatum, either get married and have a son or be dis-inherited. He had one year to complete it the task.
He frantically tried to find someone, anyone who would be of proper station and willing to marry him. He asked friends for help and finally one suggested that he hire a marriage broker. He had never heard of such a thing, but time was getting short and he was desperate. The broker suggested a woman from Russia, she would be of noble birth and attractive, for the right sum of money, of course. James agreed to sum and the money was exchanged. He was told to expect her within a few weeks and the time and place was arranged.

He waited at the dock on the day she was expected. Her name was Marina Ivanova. She was about five foot-five and had long blonde hair. I looked for people exiting the gangplank and spotted a woman wearing a midnight blue velvet gown. She looked around the crowd searching for soemone. I hurried through the crowd and breathlessly asked her "Marina? Marina Ivanova?"

She turned and looked at me with a confused look on her face. I extended my hand for hers and said "I am James Wentworth the third, Marina. I am going to be your husband."

Mora McCain is 23 with long red hair braided down her back and moss green eyes trimed with gold. Standing at 5ft 4in with a pette figure, her waist was slim, and her breasts were a little more than a handfull.

Mora weghed around 120 to 125 lbs she has never looked at herself as some great beauty her sisters having received many offers of marrage they had t taken most of their fathers money for their own marrages.

When her father had gotten sick Mora had stayed and helped to take care of him rather than travling from Scottland to London for the seasion.

Mora gave up on marrage after staying wtih him for 2yrs watching his health slip away. Before he died her father told her that he had sold her as a Bride for an American, and that he wanted her to be happy.

Mora at first had been upset both by her fathers death and by what he had done but in the end decided to go thinking that the change would be good for her, and tho the thought of being sold hurt she still loved her father for looking out for her. Saying goodbye to her fathers home she packed her few belongings and made her way to America by ship. The letter her father received from the agency gave her a name and a breif discription, nothing more. Mora found herself wondering what her future husbend would be like. Was he kind?, good looking, fersome?? she could only wait and see.

Mark Davis is a 40 year old Texas rancher with short dark brown hair and hazel eyes. He stands in at 5 foot 9 inches and weighs around 170 lbs, After spending years making his fortune selling cattle Mark decides to settle down and get married but women are few on the texas prarie so he answers an ad in the paper from a scottish man to purchase his daughter, Writing the man and answering the ad Mark sends the money and heads east to meet the ship his new bride is arriving on. What would his new bride be like?

Mora stood on the doc dressed in a soft gray high wasted gown trimed with white lace. Her hair was pinned up in a bun ontop of her head allowing only a few tendrals to escape, and curl around her throat. On her head she wore a bonnet with a thin gray ribbon through it tied under her chin.

Her belonging's what few there were rested near her feet, one small trunk containing gowns, clothing, and a small pouch with what family herloms she brought. Mora she looked around for a man matching the discription she was given, tho scanning the crowd she quickly reolized that there were sevral salors, merchents and other men who matched it almost perfectly, and so the only thing left for her to do was wait and if any gentalmen stopped she would simply ask if he was Mr. Mark Davis

Scanning the crowd Mark sees several red haired young women but there was one who was extremely beautiful in her gray and white dress. Approaching the young woman he tentativly asked, Mora,,,,,,, Mora McCain?

Mora heard a man beside her call her name his voice was deep and plesant to her ears. Turning to face him she looked up at him and smiled seeing a gentalman who looked to be in his late 30's early 40's, and was still rather handsome. He had hazel eyes and Brown hair. Aye i am Mora McCain, are ye Mr. Mark Davis She asked a smile on her face as she greeted him.

Tipping his hat and offering her his hand the texan smiles at the pretty young redhead and replies "Yes Ma'am that would be me It's nice to finally meet you." Mark smiles as he returns her greeting

Mora took his arm still smiling, she was nervious and didnt know what to say, she was excited and scared all at the same time not of Mark he looked strong and very able to protect them, but there was something else about him that told her instinctivly that he wouldnt hurt her, but this was a whole new world to her, and she would face it as bravly as any scot.

Motioning to the small chest near her feet she asked Where would ye ha me place my things? This is all new ta me Mora would not admit aloud to any weakness it was pure stubborn scotts pride getting in the way and she knew it but it was her nature.

The few muinets it took for her small chest to be taken care of allowed her the time she needed for her sea legs to hold her while they walked. What do ye do fer a living? Mora asked wanting to get to know the man who would soon be her husbend.

Motioning to the small chest near her feet she asked Where would ye ha me place my things? Smiling as he lifts her small trunk to the other shoulder he says, "Here let me take that for you."
Mark escorts his bride to be to the carriage he has waiting to take them to the hotel where they will stay before beginning their trip back to his home on the texas prairie. She asks, "What do ye do fer a living?" Smiling down at her Mark answers. "I own a cattle ranch I raise and sell cattle" as he opens the door of the carriage for her to step up into.

Mora smiled as he helped her into the carrage. She had heard about the cattle ranches, and had been told it was much like raising and selling sheep, accept you didnt have to sheer them. Mora had never seen a cow before as there werent many of them in the highlands, but she was curious and willing to learn what she needed to do to help.

She had also heard from some of the conversations while she waited that there was fighting between the trail drivers and the ranchers as some of them were putting up fences.

Many men had been killed in the fights that broke out, and Mora could see the ranchers side of things. If the trail drivers kept driving the cattle through the ranchers land then there would be nothing left for the ranchers own cattle to eat. Mora hoped that Mark wouldnt be hurt or killed defending his land but at the same time would be proud of him for doing what was right.

She had so many questions she wanted to ask but couldnt seem to choose between them, and so settled back in the cushion of the carrage as it begain to move. She looked out the window taking in the new sights and sounds, looking back at Mark she asked. Will we wed before we go to yer home?

Instructing the driver to take them to the Plaza hotel as he settles down beside his new bride to br Mark smiles as she asks him, Will we wed before we go to yer home? Smiling down at her Mark replies would you like that my darling Mora or would you like to wait till we are back in Texas?

Mora smiled glad that he had asked what she thought most men didnt they simply took control and what they said was law. Mora thought about it for a moment and knew that even tho they would be consumating the marrage shortly after and she was nervious. She also knew they would have plenty of time to get to know one another before they arrived at his home. I would like ta wed with ye afor we leave.... If ye donna mind.

Smiling broadly down at her, "Mind oh no i dont mind at all darlin you just made me the happiest man alive" Mark replies as he takes Mora into his arms and gently presses his lips to hers kissing her softly for the first time.

Mora smiled at his words happy that she had pleased him, and smiled softly as he took her into his arms. Feeling his lips brush soflty against her's Mora leaned into him relaxing in his arms.

The carrage pulling to a stop, and the sound of the coachman jumping down from the front to open the door broke their kiss and Mora blushed. This was all new for her and she found she truly enjoyed the way her future husbend not only kissed but felt in her arms.

As Mark kisses his future bride he feels her relax into his arms and smiles to himself enjoying not only the first of many kisses he planned on sharing with her but also the way his future wife's petite body feels in his arms. As the carriage pulls to a stop in front of their hotel and the coachman jumps down to open the door they break their kiss,

Seeing Mora blush as he pulls back from their kiss Mark asks,"Are you ok darling?'. After she answers he steps down from the carriage turns and putting his hands under her arms he lifts her from the carriage and carefully stands her beside him. Taking her bags from the coachman and tipping him Mark offers Mora his arm and says, "Shall we go my dear?"

Mora smiled as she took Marks hand and stepped down from the carrage following him into the hotel she could still feel his hands on her waist from where he had placed them to lift her down.

The hotel was very nice indeed, and the people seemed kind as they were given a room and their belongings were taken up to their room.

walking into the hotel prouldly escorting his beautiful wife to be Mark leads her to the check in desk and checks them in and gets them a room. Mark and Mora follow the bellman to their roomas he opens the door for them and carries in their luggage Mark sweeps Mora off of her feet and carries her across the threshold of the honeymoon suite sitting her down he tips and dismisses the bellman. "I hope you don't mind i went ahead and got us the honeymoon suite even though we havent wed yet darlin. Which reminds me do you have a wedding dress or do we need to go shopping to find you one?"

Mora blushed as Mark carried her across the threshold and smiled as he sat her on her feet dismissing the bellman. Nay i donna mind tis a lovely room, and If ye donna mind i ha me mothers gown i'd like ta wear. she said her hands still on his sholders as she looked up at him.

Hearing a knock on the door Mora moved to open it and allowed the bellhop to carrie in her small trunk, and set it at the end of the bed. She smiled and thanked him as he left, and turned back to face Mark.

The room truly was lovely with a large canopy bed, a large carpet covering over half of the wood floor, a woodburning stove, and a large hipbath.. should they wish a bath, and thick hevey curtins so that they could keep out prying eyes.

She didnt see the colors of these items tho because to her the most interesting and wonderful thing that was in the room was her husbend to be.

"I don't mind at all darlin" Mark replies as he leans and kisses his future wife just before she steps away to answer a knock on the door,

After the bellman leaves the last trunk on the bed Mark turns to Mora kneeling and taking her left hand in his looks up into her eyes and says "Lets make this officia"l then he asks. "Miss Mora McCain will you do me the honor of being my wife?"

Mora blushed at Marks words and smiled delightedly as he Kneeled down infront of her and proposed.. Mora knew he didnt have to make such a jesture as there was already a contract, but the fact that he took her feelings into concideration touched her heart. Aye .. Mr. Mark Davis.. Aye I'll wed ye.. She said and watched a smile cross his face as he stood she threw her arms around him and kissed him.

Looking up at him when their kiss ended she reolized that for the first time in a long while she truly was happy and silently thanked her Da for what he had done. This man was no Scott but she could see the honor and kindness in his soul.

"Aye .. Mr. Mark Davis.. Aye I'll wed ye"

Smiling up at Mora as he slips the small diamond engagement ring on her finger Mark tells her, "This is just your engagement ring darlin showing the world you are mine you will recieve your wedding ring when we wed." As he stands Mora throws her arms around him and kisses him wrapping her in his arms he kisses her back deeply as the kiss ends Mark just stands and holds his fiancee in his arms lost in her beautiful green eyes. Looking down at her he asks, "Are you tired and hungry my darling after your long journey?"

Mora looked up at him when their kiss ended and said. Aye i am a we bit tired, and a bit o food wouldna hurt. Shall we, order in or eat out me liard er lord sorry...? she asked a michevious grin on her face.

Winking at her mischevious lil grin He says, "I think we shal stay in and let you rest my love you have a big day tomorrow as we shall wed."

Reluctantly stepping away from his beautiful fiancee Mark rings the bell to summon the room service waiter. Turning back to Mora he asks, "What would you like for dinner darlin."

Mora had to think about what she wanted to eat as Mark pulled away to ring the bell rope. Normaly she would have asked for Kippers but that was a meal surved in scottland and not likely to be here in the america's.

She knew also while she ate and rested that there was alot Mark would need to do such as talking to a preast and getting a licens so that they could wed tomorrow, along with arrangements for their travle back to his home, and so decided to simply let him order for her. I'll let ye order for me.. I am na sure o tha menu.. she said still smiling.

She moved over to sit on the edge of the bed removing the bonnet from her hair, and laying it down on the end of the bed. Her long red hair was still pinned up a few tendrals having escaped the mass refusing to stay in place she tucked one lock behind her ear and waited for the bell hop to return.
